We don't do many book reviews but seeing as Apex Publishing sent us this and asked us what we thought then we saw no reason why not to. The Scottish Football Quiz Book, in the words of a well known advert, basically does what it says on the tin. It's a quiz book about Scottish football and if that's what you are looking for then that is what you will get. Note well that the author is a Morton fan...but don't let that put you off, we all have our crosses to bear.

An ideal companion for some of those more frustrating away days on the supporters' bus when you choice is either to listen to yet another early kick off involving the old firm on the tranny or fall asleep as the rain batters off the coach windows on the way to Aberdeen. In its favour the subject matter is wide and varied and does not concentrate on events in Glasgow and the fact that the answers are at the back will invariably avoid any 'debates' ending up in fisticuffs!

At under a tenner it's a good idea for a present for any self respecting Scottish footy fan and the hard back will ensure that it lasts the rigours of life getting slung around aforementioned coaches.
