TIME TO SIGN

It is all go for the Killie Trust over the next few weeks with events coming fast and furious. Straight on the heels of the highly successful “Stand Up (if you love Killie) Comedy Night” which raised just under £2k last week is a Trust membership “sign up day” at the Park Hotel in conjunction with the football club. After the match against Aberdeen next Saturday the players will gather in the pre-drinks area of the Caprington Suite to meet the fans, sign autographs and pose for photos as the Trust Board members attempt to sign up as many new Trust members as possible, and renew any memberships that have recently run out. Membership of the Trust is only £10 per annum with your first £1 of that buying your share in the Trust, and to make it even easier they can take your details and get a standing order set up (as well as cash on the day) so you never need to worry about it again. The Trust will be sponsoring the match ball and giving it to one of the lucky fans who signs up on the day, and the first issue of the Trust’s newsletter will be available to take away.

The more people who join the Trust then the more influence the supporters will have on how their club is run, which in this day and age is a crucial factor as many face financial difficulties that are beyond their control. Trusts are becoming a key partner throughout Europe and the UK in helping clubs get back to their roots and engaging with the community and Kilmarnock have one of the most respected and well organised Trusts in Scotland…which you can be a part of as much or as little as you see fit. The Fifty for the Future campaign is the flagship initiative of the Trust and has ensured that Youth Development at Rugby Park has been able to continue despite massive cut backs over the last few years and its success is down to the input of the supporters and something that we can really be proud of. To hear about all that has been achieved over the last twelve months and what the plans are for the current season then come along to the AGM which will be at Rugby Park on Tuesday 7th December…and you can hear from miracle worker Mixu at the same time.
