Kilmarnock (4th) vs Rangers (1st)
(SPL Match 4, Rugby Park, Aug 25th, 2007, KO: 12:30)

Killie Team News... Kilmarnock welcome Danny Invincibile back to their squad after the forward came through the 3-2 reserve game victory over Mortherwell, unscathed. Also Ryan O'Leary, Jamie Hamill & Stephen Naismith all represented Killie in the Scotland U21 side's 1-0 victory over the Czech Republic, on Tuesday are available.  Naisy who captained the side scored the winner for the Scots.

But midfielder Craig Bryson is added to the injury list that already included Garry Hay, Eric Skora and James Fowler.

Kilmarnock have signed striker Ryan Jarvis on loan from Coca-Cola Championship side Norwich.

Jarvis, 21, takes the place of Paul di Giacomo in the Kilmarnock squad after manager Jim Jefferies let the 25-year-old move to Irn-Bru First Division side Partick, also on a loan basis

Kilmarnock (from):

Jim Jefferies Pre-Match Comments ....  "I would never consider leaving Steven out for this game as I know he'll be able to handle it,"

"He's probably thinking, 'I'll score the winning goal and show you what you've missed', and that's the attitude you should take.

"If they had paid the price he might have been playing for them."

"We know there will be a lot of attention on Steven as we are playing Rangers. There has been a lot of speculation over the summer but he's been able to handle it."
On Kris Boyd... "It doesn't matter what people say about Kris Boyd, he was first on the teamsheet for me because he is a goalscorer.

"That's why we have to watch out for him big time because he does it instinctively and he has got good technique. Yes, he is like a lot of strikers, even the best of them miss chances but more often than not he sticks the ball in the net."

On Teams Form..."We only played well in patches against Dundee United and we didn't play well at Motherwell so taking full points is a bonus.

"We can get in about Rangers on Saturday. Because they are an excellent side, if you stand off them and let them play, they will probably punish you more than Motherwell would.

"So we will learn from last week. It's about getting the balance right between having a go and doing the right things."

JJ Season's Comments are - HERE

Gary Locke's Pre-Match Comments ....  "The way I look at Old Firm games is that all the pressure is on Rangers and Celtic because they are expected to win," he said.

"So we are quietly confident, going into the game on the back of three good results.

"We know it's going to be difficult because they are a quality outfit this year.

"We got a big boost from taking a point at Parkhead."

"I felt I did okay So I'm hoping I can get into the starting line-up. I played my part, like (fellow substitutes) Rhian Dodds and Gary Wales.

"The manager says in the last two games he has made substitutions that have changed the game in our favour.

"That's why you have a big squad, so you have players that can come on and do something.

"We didn't play well last week but we got the three points and that's the most important thing.
