Songs
Sung Rainbow (PC Version)
Apparently some
people did not appreciate that this feature was a look back at songs
sung by Killie fans in the distant and not so distant past. It was
never intended to be used as a song sheet for the modern day fan, the
majority of whom would struggle to tell you what the Killie choir
sound like as they are are only heard on rare occasions these days.
They were supplied by fans old and young and reflected as accurately
as possible what was actually being sung, not what should have
been sung. That said, we aim to keep everyone happy so we had a
brainstorm....sorry, an 'idea shower' and have changed history
accordingly to try and kid on that we've always been whiter than
white...
(She'll be coming round the
Mountain)
I will wear a Killie bonnet 'til I pass away, I will wear a Killie bonnet 'til I
pass away,
I will wear a Killie bonnet, with pretty flowers on it, wear a Killie bonnet
'til I pass away.
(She'll be coming round the Mountain)
There'll be Johnnie Walker water in the Cup, There'll be Johnnie Walker
water in the Cup,
There'll be Johnnie Walker water, Johnnie Walker water,
Johnnie Walker water in the Cup - Thank heavens for that.
(H.A.P.P.Y.)
I'm Killie 'til I otherwise chose to be, I'm Killie 'til I otherwise
chose to be, I know I am, I'm sure I am...I'm Killie
'til I otherwise chose to be.
(Unknown)
Killie persons, we are here, woah, woah, Killie persons, we are here, woah,
woah,
Killie persons, we are here, we've nothing against you if you're queer...Woo-oo-oo-oo-oh!
(Unknown)
We're here, cos we appreciate Kilmarnock FC. We're here, cos we
appreciate Kilmarnock FC etc. (no offence to etc's)
(Unknown)
K, I, L - L, I, E...and the name of the team is Kilmarnock FC.
(The Red
Flag)
Oh way up high, up in the sky, we'll keep the rainbow flag flying high,
Through rain or muck, we'll get a bit dirty, but keep the rainbow flag
flying high.
(Unknown)
We'll gently subdue you at home and we'll gently subdue you away,
we'll talk pleasantly with any person that gets in our
way,
We'll refuse to drink whisky and Newcastle Brown, the Killie Boys are
nice chaps...na na na...etc
(Molly
Malone)
In Dublin's fair trade city, where the young ladies are so intelligent, I first
exchanged pleasantries with young Molly
Malone,
She wheeled her wheel barrow, through the streets broad and narrow...
Singing...Big Issue! Big Issue! Big Issue!
(You got me singing the
blues)
I've never felt more like singing the rainbows, The Killie would win - the
Ayr would win as well,
Oh Killie, you got me singing the rainbows!
(Some Tommy Steel
song no
doubt)
My elderly father, said be a Killie fan, and don't dilly dally on the way,
We'll go to Pittodrie and clean it up a bit, we'll go to Celtic Park
and make sure we sit,
With cutlery and baskets, tiskets and taskets, we'll teach the Ayr
people how to have fun,
Oh, you won't come to Rugby Park and not enjoy it, cos we don't buy
The Sun!
(Sailing)
We are Killie, slightly above average Killie, everyone likes us, we care.
We love Ayr, nice people, and we'll chase them, nowhere.
(No awa' tae bide
awa')
As I was walking down the Copeland Road, I met a bunch o' strangers,
And they said to me, "Are you going to see, The famous Glasgow
Rangers?"
So I took a trip to Ibrox Park, to see ma Uncle Willie,
And the boys in blue, lost rather miserably, to the boys of Ayrshire Killie.
(The Red
Flag)
Hello Hello, How do you do? We love the boys in royal blue,
We love the boys in Emerald green, And we won't say anything obscene.
(She'll be coming round the
Mountain)
Singing I come from Killie not from Ayr. Singing I come from Killie not from
Ayr.
Singing I come from Killie, Although it doesn't really matter, I come from Killie not from
Ayr - Who cares?
(Land of Hope and
Glory)
We like Glasgow Rangers, We like Celtic too,
We like Ayr United, but we like Killie marginally better
(Marching Through
Georgia)*
Hello, hello, we are the Killie boys. Hello, hello, we are the Killie
boys.
And if you are an Ayr fan, best of luck to you. We will follow
Kilmarnock.
(Marching Through
Georgia)*
Hello, hello, we are the Killie boys. Hello, hello, you'll know us by our
noise.
We're up to our knees in sausage rolls but we want a Killie Pie. We
are the hungry Killie boys.
(Bring Back My Bonnie To Me)
If I had the wings of a sparrow,
and the big strong wings of a crow.
I'd fly over Somerset tomorrow,
and wave to the nice chaps below.
