Brendan Rodgers said: “Kris will go to Kilmarnock. There were a couple of options but it’s good for him to play there. He has settled in here so he can go and play there for the rest of the season where we can keep a close eye on him and take him back.”
Jan 21st 2017: Kristofer makes his Killie debut in the Scottish Cup 4th Rd at home to Hamilton Accies.
May 30th 2017: Returned to his parent club Celtic after his loan period with Killie expired.
May 18th Lee McCulloch on Keeping Ajer: "The club would be delighted to have him back, but we’ll need to wait and see. Now that we’re safe, maybe, the club can speak to John [Kennedy] or I might give Brendan Rodgers and a call and see what he says. Ajer has been great for us. He has an old head on young shoulders. “There are things he needs to work on, but he is very pleasing on the eye. I’m trying to get the right blend of youth and experience here.”
