Much like the first Scottish Cup semi final tie, this was to be a game where the goalkeepers shone brightest. Both Gordon Marshall for the home side & our own Dragoje Lekovic pulled out some terrific stops to keep the score blank.
For a team still with an outside sniff of the title, the home team were all huff and little puff this night. In fact, it looked more and more like it was a match between Tommy Johnson and Kilmarnock as the celtic striker looked to be the only one interested in playing us.
Alex Burke, just like that night in March, celebrated his return from injury by tormenting the Celtic defence all night long and it was he who would have the most gilt edged of all Killie's chances to take the play-off pressure off us and allow us to enjoy the last game of the season against Aberdeen.
But, where being greedy was the order of the day, he elected to try and play in Broono rather than have a blast himself.
A Celtic defender intercepted his pass and the chance for all three points was gone. The draw did move us into 7th place though. A point clear of both Motherwell & Hibs.
