  1. Guys, I think some folk are looking this from a position of nothing but dislike of certain individuals and their legacy. Please read this is the spirit it is meant and not as a criticism of your point of view. It is meant to be as objective as TiK is rather than subjective as some views are. The Trust has now been in existence since 2003 and has, as few would argue, delivered some quite magnificent initiatives such as FFTF, K-Step, sponsoring various Killie youth and ladies teams, sponsoring local boys clubs, issuing grants to many community groups, encouraging fan engagement, working in a positive manner with the board of the football club and so on. About 2 years ago the Trust decided that, rather than be toothless and sitting on the outside with our noses pressed up against the window, action should be taken to deliver a genuine directorship in the football club for the supporters. Appropriate mandate to pursue this was agreed by the Trust members and an absolute power of work was undertaken to get to a point where Head of Terms were agreed with the club and signed last April. Since then due diligence has been carried out by an independent corporate finance firm and the Trust, satisfied with this, have now launched TiK. There has been significant co-operation from the club in this process. As you can imagine, neither the Trust nor the club have always seen eye-to-eye every step of the way, but this is no different to any similar transaction I have seen. My only observation would be that thing could, possibly, have moved quicker. Now – and here is the point of TiK – we could easily have chosen to sit back and watch the demise of Kilmarnock Football Club (or perhaps the rise – who knows?) and complain about this that and the next thing and the fact that we don’t like certain individuals etc. However, realising that there is going to be, in all probability, a rather long exit period for MJ or any other significant shareholder we felt that the supporters don’t deserve inaction from the Trust on this issue. We have seen directors come and go in recent times for various reasons – not least, by the way, that they have been domiciled some distance from Kilmarnock. The Supporter – Director simply cannot walk away. There will be a Supporter-Director on the board. Personalities and remoteness of abode will not enter into it. Sure, we can assume MJ is walking in 2019 and the world will be great then. This, however, is unlikely to be the case. As has been mentioned on numerous occasions, the 2019 thing is to do with a clause by the bank that an individual, on sale of their shares before a specific date, cannot benefit financially without the bank receiving payment given the debt forgiveness. This happens all the time in such deals and, indeed, in share buyback scenarios. It simply means that, assuming a willing seller and buyer after that date, the bank, in this case, gets no kick back. So, MJ may well be going nowhere if he doesn’t want to sell and /or there is no buyer. That could be 10, 15, 20 years more for us to sit outside and press our noses up against the window. There is also a lot of tosh spouted about NDAs. This agreement requires the Supporter-Director to act in a manner befitting of a board director. There are no shackles and gags. Confidentiality comes with the role, as it would in any company. That also means that the Supporter-Director MUST respect the confidentiality required between them and the Trust board. It absolutely works both ways. It is not unusual and it is not anybody imposing authority on anyone else. It is common sense and professional. NDAs are not the devil’s spawn, they are a necessity of business and can be formal or assumed. Regards the money going into the club – yes it is. It is going into the club for the issue of unallocated shares. Not buying shares from individuals. The club will reap the benefit of the money raised. The time taken to raise the target amount will determine whether or not further due diligence is required. You can rest assured that the Trust will do nothing but act responsibly at all times. My war cry here is this – please view TiK as a positive initiative which will deliver a genuine Supporter-Director with the same rights as any other director in operational matters. It is a unique opportunity to make a difference and to work with the club, from the inside and to encourage, implement and deliver positive change – the very thing we have all wanted for some time. There great shame here would be that TiK couldn’t achieve this goal and we don’t even have the status quo and become further marginalised. This is not about individuals – it is about Kilmarnock Football Club and ensuring it is here, and in a healthy state, long after we are all gone. Please sign up to TiK and make this vision a reality. Make our club just that – our club.

  2. I get the feeling you don't really understand how the club currently operates. The money from TIK will not help to remove MJ and he will not give one iota about whether a trust Rep knows things or not, they will be shackled, bound and gagged like the rest. At McLean says, the ship has sailed, as a group of fans we are impotent, talk a good game and argue amongst ourselves but never get to the crux of the matter. MJ will go when he wants to go, and no amount of Trust/Fan money put into the club at this point in time will make any difference in that respect. It will take 20 years to put together any meaningful amount of money via TIK to dilute his shares, and reduce his authority as you put it. Sorry, but your thoughts are Kilmarnock Pie in the sky.

  3. rb-506 MJ has over 40% of the shares in KFC. 75% of shares are needed for significant change to happen. The TiK ininiative will not reduce his influence although it will provide a place on the Board. I agree that such a Director will be able to keep an eye on him (subject to non-disclosure). However, there is still no indication that he is prepared to consider leaving. And please, do not question my financial commitment to the Trust which has helped its activities, aims and objectives. I have contributed more than most over the last several years. Again, I wish TiK every success. At present, I am not comfortable with supporting it financially although I will continue my monthly contribution to the Killie Trust.

  4. So, that's what Fulton did after retirement...became a life model? And if that image doesn't give you nightmares, there's no hope for you.

  6. Am I missing something here guys. This looks like something a 12 year old or younger has made with a basic paint programme & a printer. To say I am underwhelmed is an understatement. A couple of coloured diagonal lines & some print. Why waste 20-40 pounds on this, make one yourself.

  9. For the life of me, I can't understand why any Labour MP would vote for this. They're 20 points behind in the polls and would face another damaging leadership campaign in the aftermath. Turkeys and xmas spring to mind. Throw in MPs with slim majorities (less than 1000?) and blocking May's general election should be the most likely outcome. That it seems almost inevitable that it will take place, makes me question the intelligence of the average bench filler. At the very least they should be forcing May to call for a vote of no confidence in her government, that would at least put them on the front foot.

  10. Seemingly, May wants Boris to "do the job he did during the referendum" and sell her administration to the electorate. What?! The shyster who was revealed as the Leave campaign's liar-in-chief? As if appointing him Foreign Secretary was not enough of a faux-pas, she is going to entrust her political future to the least safe pair of hands. It would be funny if she ended up with a majority of similar proportions or even smaller but that is sadly unlikely. If only Labour was a viable option....

  11. 650 MPs. 432 required. 330 Cons - solid. 54 SNP - abstain, probably. 8 DUP probably for. 9 Libs Dems for. 85 required out of 229 Lab should be achievable.

  12. Appointed by Dundee until the end of the season. Massive gamble, hopefully he proves to be as successful as Shearer was at Newcastle when they tried this approach.

  14. For this season I have taken part in a personal NAPM until there is an MJ solution. I have denied the Club my money as a result. That is why I cannot bring myself to invest any money in the Club while MJ has an effective veto over change. Now, that is my personal position. If others have a different view and wish to invest in Trust in Killie, good luck to them. Although I will not currently be investing, I do wish the initiative every success. I say this as someone who makes a regular monthly contribution to the Killie Trust. This will continue as I believe in the aims and objectives of the Trust. MJ has managed to get rid of other well-meaning investor/Directors as a result of his behaviour. So far, I don't see any evidence that his attitude has changed. Were MJ to go or announce his planned intention to go, my perspective will change.

  15. Was a killie youth team training kit. my brother played in the same youth team at the time of them using this. Think they were under 13/14 at the time. came with black hummel shorts. was featured in the kilmarnock standard at the time.

  18. Look at the date on my post that you've quoted, May 2016. McLeish threatened to withdraw sponsorship nearly six months later. If I could see that far into the future I'd be the chairman with my lottery winnings.
