  1. If Greer goes it will hopefully be with everyone's thanks for coming in and stabilizing things. We could have been in a far worse place without his influence.

  2. If they are having another clear out down Norfolk way in this transfer window then we can maybe get Naismith back as well. Plus Alan Partridge to be the stadium announcer.

  5. Agreed. I can't help but feel the Boyd-sceptics in our midst will rethink their criticism of him during the decades we'll spend waiting for another forward as good who'll play here for any amount of time.

  6. I think Naisy will certainly be heading back to Scotland. He made it clear in an interview with BBC at the start of the season that was his plan as he still lives in Stewarton. Norwich have stated if they don't get promoted this season (which looks very unlikely) they will need to make drastic cost cuts. Naisy from what I'm told is their highest earner and is on north of £40k per week as they had to match his Everton wages. He's hardly kicked a ball this season, been injured and I can guarantee Norwich will want him off the wage bill next month. I'm not even sure a transfer fee will change hands if he heads back to Scotland. Naisy is 30/31 and is not short of a few bob so if he does return north he will be taking a massive pay cut but he's made his millions, probably invested it wisely and will be returning to live a family life. He stated in his interview he would return to a club where there is an 'interesting project'. Surely Steve Clarke and Killie fit that bill? One wonders whether Bowie being from Stewarton might play a role in enticing Naisy back, if he knows the family well? If we were to sign him it would be box office and guarantee a few more onto the gates.

  8. Surprised there are folk who want to keep Rory. He's likeable, but if he left tomorrow, who would sign him? A championship club at best. Meanwhile you've folk wanting to release Kris Boyd, when there's a good chance he will finish our top scorer.

  11. Ffs i hope not, Naisy was my favourite player as a boy, would hurt to see him go there... again... Those thick fans don't deserve him after all the abuse they gave him when he left

  13. No over age players are allowed to play in the Youth Cup. Strangely enough the u20s seem to play better without the over age players in the team. Despite the limited size of the U20 Killie squad in comparison to other Premeirship sides, coach Andy Millen when he's allowed to play his own players he coaches everyday, is doing a great job.

  24. An unemployed guy who drives his Maserati at 110mph - that is classy. Bassong probably doesn't fancy Universal Credit and will be keen to get back into work. Really excited about the kind of players that Steve Clarke is able to attract to Killie.

  28. G, The problem is there is no easy answer to the problem. It is multi-faceted and every penny spent on one facet is a penny that cannot be spent on any others. This does not mean there is a lack of concern it means that it shows the limits of power of our elected officials. I actually think that the SNP are as socially conscientious as any other party but the best will in the world cannot solve this problem completely. It is not a matter of more money either since one has to look around the world to see that. Have you ever seen the film Idiocracy? Watch the opening credits!!

  32. From what I heard Greer is basically only here part time. He wasn't even at SC's first manager meeting as it was one of his "days off" seemingly. If true I don't think that arrangement is good for either party but agree he's stabilised the defence and the younger guys will certainly have learnt from him.

  34. Really good performance by Killie. Wayward shooting at goal in the first half by Samizadeh but eventually hit a real sweet one for the 3rd goal. Good deliveries all game forward up to Cameron, who was a pest for the Hearts defence all game. Made his own luck by his efforts for the first 2 goals. Midfield were out of sorts first half but much better second half. Defence coped really well all game and the perceived threat of regular first team player Jamie Brandon down the Hearts right was completely eliminated. I don't know whether the booking for Higgins has suspended him for the next round as he was also booked in the last round at Spartans. If it has then Higgins would be a huge loss.

  35. Cracking game. Hearts looked too strong first half and were well worth a 1-0 lead. Different story second half. Frizz ran the show and Cameron had his best half of the season. Solid at the back all second half. Well done boys.

  36. What ever else people think about Boydie. No one can doubt he is one of our best ever goalscorers. And a someone posted somewhere. 4 or 5 other teams in our league wish they had him in there team.

  37. He has one of the best goals per minute ratios in the league at 174 minutes per goal. He will hit double figures no bother at this rate. I don't think he was capable of playing up front on his own anymore. The league goals have come since we have strengthened the midfield with Power and got someone up top to support him. The lowest I could find for multiple goalscorers was Brophy with a goal for every 111 minutes played.

  40. Surprised the number who want Kris Boyd to leave considering how well he's playing and his current form. For me he stays as long as he's scoring goals.

  42. A specific song sung by one half of the old firm this year really got up my nose. “We hate catholics, everybody hates Roman Catholics” to the tune of I Think We’re Alone Now. I’m not a catholic, I pass on religion. It doesn’t offend me personally. However, 52,000 Rangers fans singing this song and polluting the minds of children who don’t know what a Roman Catholic is, never mind why they do/should hate them is only adding to the cultural problem in this country. That offends me. If this legislation stops someone from singing these songs then it’s worth keeping.

  45. The SFA, plus Glasgow Council, plus a working party, that sounds like a plan. No inquiry ? Come on Glasgow, Edinburgh are spending millions on an inquiry, surely you can spend more than them. Facilities that work for our communities ? How about Michael Gove and Boris Johnston versus a lion, I'd watch that.
