  1. 3800 Killie fans today and everyone had to pay! Not just a year ago we were scraping at 3000 in total. It's called progress good sir. Rome wasn't built in a day.

  2. See folk have us beat already. I feared nobody in that draw. We can beat anyone in this league/cup.

  3. Yeah, it’s late. And yeah, I’m a bit pissed. I might regret this in the cold light of day....... It’s a great time to be a Killie fan. But holy s**t, what do we have to do to get a decent crowd? We have the best manager in the league. The best player in the league. One of the greatest top flight goal scorers of all time, still scoring goals for us. And yet we can’t muster 4000 home fans for a cup tie with a quarter final place up for grabs. What do folk want? I’m not interested in any comparison with Partick, Motherwell or St Johnstone etc. We are Killie. We have Steve Clarke. We have Mulumbu. We beat Rangers. We beat Celtic. We win 6 home games in a row. These are real “I was there” moments. And yet we aren’t. Well, not as many as we should be. Am I being unreasonable?

  4. Commiserations to Aberdeen. They'll need to wait another year to have a crack at winning the cup because Killie will be knocking them out this season

  9. Reading this thread I've just realised the wife's been abusive to me for years. At 2.15 I said ''that's me away to the the game'' she said ''hope it's a good game with a big Killie win and you enjoy it HUN'' .............

  11. There is no buzz in Scottish football. We have a media that constantly put it down, and administrators that can't even get a sponsor, and beg TV companies for anything they can spare, as long as there is an Old Firm. I'd have Barry Hearn in as chief exec of the SFA tomorrow. If that same game, in the same situation happened this season, would 3rd even mean anything? We've lost the Sky money from that time, and we don't have people in charge capable of getting it back.

  15. Yesterday’s home crowd was up 1000 on the Hamilton cup crowd 12 moths ago. That is a decent increase. Yes we had Home crowds of 15,000 a while back but not too many, but we also had the odd crowd of below 1000 in the 80’s. That’s just the way it is with Killie. lets be positive though numbers are increasing at the moment and we should be talking that and football we are seeing up.

  16. Huns and Tims. Both are c**ts.

  17. It actually blows my mind that a simple pass to a man which retains possession and potentially builds an attacking move get pelters yet another one of 50 headless chicken runs from Jones which beats one man through pace but goes absolutely nowhere and almost always loses possession gets a "well done son". I do wonder if these characters spend their wages immediately on magic beans. Every month.

  18. Not really equatable. I can see this thread getting deleted, but... Hun I would deem to be said to offend but not taken as seriously enough to cause trouble. Hun/Tim is more a better comparison. Neither I really think are acceptable on a forum tbh, particularly one that is Killie-based and we have nothing to do with the OF rivalry. It just makes us look as bad as them. Fenian however is inciteful, bigoted bile. Used solely to create trouble and has no place in football, if anywhere.

  19. Bought a house in Kilmarnock, wife is from Kilmarnock, in my nature to support the local team, given that I’m not from Scotland and have no valid reason to support any other team.

  22. On the subject of TV, the SFA need to shoulder all the blame here. There is only a handful of matches screened on TV that attract bigger audiences than the Old firm: Man United - Liverpool Man United - Man City (only recently) Real - Barcelona When each English game is worth roughly £20m, then why is the Scottish league with four Rangers Celtic matches not worth considerably More? If Swansea vs West Ham is worth as much as £20m then the minimum the Scottish League should be going for is £200m per season. The fact that the SFA can't negotiate that is beyond me. Amazon would probably pay that for the Old firm matches... time to get creative. More money equals better players and product. It's not rocket science.

  23. I think Scottsh football is on its best position in a while. Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen are attracting much better attendances than in recent times. Hearts and Hibs have established excellent stadiums and Aberdeen are hoping to. Killie are on the way back and Saturday's attendance was reasonably encouraging, given it was pay at the gate. However, it is not unreasonable to be a bit disappointed that there is not a mini flood of people coming back given the instant upsurge when we play an AyrUtd or reach a semi or a final. There won't always be a Stevie Clarke and we won't always be beating the old firm. I think we should have returned to around 5000 home fans relatively quickly.

  25. This is an abysmal thread for a Killie forum page, embarrassing! We should leave the bigotry to the erse cheeks and should be above even thinking this way, let alone be discussing on a Killie forum. This thread can close any time......

  30. A lot of blame getting heaped on McCoist for stuff that weren't his decision to make or for not wanting to keep playing for as long as someone was willing to pay. I remember the buzz around the place when we signed him and Durrant, and I can't think of another time Killie were getting semi-regular namechecks on primetime TV. On the pitch, he scored a few, missed a few. Shrug. I mind when I first started going, we had big George McCluskey up top, and Ally played a similar role (though in my mind, GM was a class apart) - the old head up top, legs gone but brain still ticking over. Ally didn't do enough to earn legend status, unlike the real Super Ally, but it's sad to seem he's getting pariah status thrust upon him from some. For missing a penalty? Signing a contract offered to him, presumably, under the free will of the board? For being a, quote-unquote, hun? There's not enough time for me to spend it hating on ex-Killie players. I might not be a big fan of a few but they all, more or less, served the stripes as best they could while they were here.

  31. Although the national team has a plethora of left full backs, there does not seem to be a long list of right back contenders. As difficult it is to get a killie player chosen to play for Scotland, with his current level of consistency and playing for a progressive top half team, is he worth a shout? He has been arguably our most consistent performer since sc took over.

  33. Since Clarke has taken over... played 16 lost 3 played old firm 4 times, Aberdeen twice, hibs twice and hearts away. This is actually an amazing time to be a killie fan! Could be the start of something very very special! What does everyone predict for the next 6 months (till the end of the summer transfer window)

  40. I’d love us to not get beat in any of our games in hand. Winning all three would be fantastic, we’d be most likely be safe at least and give us a real boost at top 6. Motherwell are biggest challenge.

  42. Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not saying JJ isn't sometimes successful and his ability to beat a man/create an opening is often excellent, but quite why you'd applaud a player who's done literally nothing but lose the ball is kinda beyond me. Is an incredibly frustrating part of his game. Its that "get it furrit", "pit it up the park" mindset from fans that I just don't understand. You could see it past few seasons, we were gettin absolutely tanned every week through route one fitba, yet still some roasters in the East doing their dingers if someone deigned to make a backwards pass.

  43. Thought today wasn't bad for a Cup game against a small team, when everyone was paying at the gate and we have a game on Tuesday It will be interesting to see how many we actually get on Tuesday against Dundee. as our biggest home support so far this season was against Hibs in a midweek game That was immediately after two draws with Celtic and Rangers Our last home league game before Celtic last week, was pre Christmas against Rangers As many choose not to go to those games, I am hopeful with our good form since, that we will get a decent crowd at this one There are plenty of supporters who work weekends, so surely they will be desperate to come along

  44. I predict achieving our top flight status and SC using from now until the end of season to see who he needs to offload from squad and what areas he needs to strengthen. I then predict hel sort out contracts for those coming to an end and hopefully make some shrewd permanent / loan signings in the summer that will see us have a solid squad throughout.
