  1. Danny Armstrong and David Watson both need a rest and this is the ideal game to do so. We don’t want to risk pre Celtic injuries but van Veen, Stewart, Balagizi and GMS all need to play a part on Saturday to get fitness levels up for the Parkhead game.
  2. Welcome to Killie James and although Senior Scottish football may be a bit physical at times, just get stuck in and the Killie boys beside you, your skill and pace will leave many of the opposition players in your wake. We have some real talent in the team with recent transfers and your box to box play along with David Watson will be an enormous threat to the opposition. Good luck James.
  3. I seem to have missed the season ticket e-mail offering early payment to guarantee my seat. When is the next purchase date for fans. Thanks for help
  4. What a performance from Killie yesterday against a multi million pound outfit that were predicted to carry all before them. No chance of that happening. I accidentally came upon THE Rangers Rabble podcast this morning whilst looking for the Sunday papers match reports. Hilarious listening with the four participants blaming Beale for his tactics, team choice and the VAR officials refusing to consider their mandatory penalty claim. Recommended listening for Killie fans interested in getting into the tortured brains of these poor demented souls. We can now look forward to an encouraging season ahead and with an extra striker adding more pace and guile to our attack, everything is possible. Oh by the way, they don’t like our pitch!

What the heck is this topic about? Our strip has a red flash on it and some of us are getting wound up either by Hun fans or their own weird paranoia about that awful team. As far as I know Rangers have secured ( along with their ugly sister) sole rights to bigotry songs but not to the colour red. Many years ago Killie wore red socks and there was no reaction like this at that time. I thought we had all grown up a bit since then but apparently not. let’s get a grip!
  6. I’d forgotten about Pat O ‘ Connor but I think he was in the army based in Germany and Killie flew him over for some training and matches. A very good player.
  7. Great to see some of the old timers remembered. My personal highlights are Forsyth King. McGrory. Watson Murray. Beattie Brown McInally Kerr Black Muir
  8. Heading for - 50 ? I think you’ll do lt.
  9. It sounds like Sam wants to get back south nearer his young family but at the same time he really enjoys the Killie experience. He may already have signed a pre contract with an English club but if not I think he should be offered a really sound contract at Rugby Park both financially and over a decent period in the hope he can move his family to Scotland supported accordingly. A quality goalie who could become a long term favourite in keeping with some of the greats in Killie history.
  10. My impression is that he was played too often on the left side midfield to nullify the opposing side right wingback. A role he hates but one he carried for the team. When his testimonial happens we should recognise his long term service to Killie and turn up in numbers. Thanks Rory and look forward to another season from you in the Premier League.
  11. Yes I agree. He is a tall strong lad but he has to use his power to win more challenges against equally built defenders. Coaching should get him timing jumps better and gaining more height to win these challenges more often. Let’s give him another season to develop and just maybe we have another Boydy up front. Wishful thinking? We live in hope.
  12. I thought the appointment of DM as Manager was a sure win at the time and he did get us promoted, but in doing so the performances were never convincing. His team selection against Celtic on Sunday and more alarmingly his tactics leave me gasping. Why would you effectively ask two Killie decent midfield players to cope with 3 Celtic ace equivalents—— just madness. Fans have split views about Power and Jones but both should have been on from the start. JJ would have attacked heading for the bye line on reception of the ball 🏀 rather than try and play a suicidal back pass that FM attempted. Fraser is a Championship level player and has been out of his depth in his Premiership appearances. I hope he recovers from his nightmare day on Sunday but if we retain our top division standing, I regret Fraser would be better released. JJ has played well in recent appearances and puts in dangerous crosses and we are seeing some penetrating runs as well. Get him on the pitch. Still think if we get 3 home games after the split, we will scrape through. Dig in Killie.

I hope the little brat that threw the flare onto the pitch in celebration of wright’s opening goal, realises he ruined the positive atmosphere and caused a loss of momentum for the team. I saw him being escorted out of the stadium and I hope he is disciplined by the club in the hope his brain develops beyond its current capacity and makes him recognise common sense in future.
  14. Kanyon We're both Killie fans and this is just a difference of opinion. DM knows what he's doing and I think he felt Ross County were beginning to get a grip of midfield and he knows Rory will get stuck in and close them down quickly. I think that is what he did and he therefore was a fundamental part of the revised formation.
  15. For God's sake can we get a grip and just recognise what a valuable player Rory is for Killie. Once again on Saturday he came on to tighten up midfield and won tackles all over the pitch. All of our Managers, good and bad, have valued his contribution, so get off his back,
  16. Having watched the highlights of the Hibs game, it is showing another example of sluggish holes in our central defence. Fans argue that it might be best to let the centre forward go and let the goalkeeper try and rescue the situation. We lost the opening goal against Motherwell following that option and lost the opening goal against Hibs on Saturday trying to actively tackle. The real answer to have PACE in defence enabling defenders to position themselves properly to tackle safely.
  17. Jordon will know himself that he left Killie in a manner that left a sour taste ? in the fans mouths. At the same time most of us remember his exciting play in leading us up the park at pace , leaving defences gasping in his wake. Give Killie that commitment and performance, and he will be welcomed back with open arms. Let’s give him space to succeed .
  18. Just had a look at the next few games Partick are facing and it looks tough. It’s not over yet and Arbroath might wobble after their first defeat in the cup at the weekend. With Lafferty now match fit and scoring goals and Zak keeping his end of the pitch safe, maybe we are getting a bit gloomy a bit too soon
  19. I agree with you regarding Eremenko to an extent. He was a great player and I think he had a greater commitment to Killie than certainly that displayed by Mulumbu. My point is that Eremenko was brought back unfit and didn't play at all for us initially until that was rectified and when he did play he was not nearly as effective as his initial time with us. My criticism is not directed at Eremenko himself but the decision makers thinking it was a good positive move to bring him back for a second stint.
  20. Mulumbu was a hero in our eyes initially and deservedly so. I still remember his winning goal against Celtic in February 2018. The tide turned however when he decanted to the Parkhead barrowboys and we all saw him turning nasty on Tshibola at Rugby Park in one of the few games he got with Lennon subsequently. Now his true colours are there for all to see as he pocketed his money, contributed next to nothing during this spell and ran off away from the battle like a typical mercenary. Why he was given the opportunity to make a fool of us all is equally infuriating and some folk at Rugby Park must be confronted as to why we needed an unfit, 30+ loanee out of football for months, poor trainer, being recognised as a valuable asset. Learn the lesson, eating regurgitated meals is an unpleasant experience. Mulumbu, Eremenko, Broadfoot, Millar, are all testament to that belief. New blood in future please.
  21. I don't think it is fair to categorise Power in the same mould as Dicker or Broadfoot. Power puts in effort and doesn't disappear from the game. Was Dicker on the pitch at all last night or did he skip on occasionally just to bawl out Rossi? We should have been thoroughly trounced last night but have got out of jail with just a one goal deficit that COULD be rectified on Monday but I'm not holding my breathe. I didn't get a ballot pass for the game on Monday so I urge those going to be very vocal and give a verbal kick up the backside the minute they see any lack of effort and commitment on our part. I remind Killie players they are performing to protect their reputation, their employment, their background staff wellbeing and the loyalty of thousands of us as committed fans. GET ON WITH IT AND DO YOUR JOB.
  22. Totally agree with Bigdaw. Broadfoot is the current weaklink along an otherwise mediocre back four but there is no suitable replacement option for us over the remaining games this season. That however is not the situation in midfield. Dicker and Power have been great servants over the years but their time is past -- Tommy - drop them both NOW. There was noticeable more energy today when Tshibola and Burke came on, so I want to see them both a week on Wednesday with Mulumbu and Pinnock alongside. Kiltie has magic but too infrequent touches and is not physical enough to compete in our present predicament. Give Lafferty some physicality alongside him in either Whitehead or Oakley, The sight of seeing Broadfoot and Dicker ganging up on young Rossi was sickening today and I think exemplifies what is wrong at the club. Dicker ambled around the pitch throughout and his role as captain is demonstrably hugely negative. Get Lafferty to see us through the season Tommy. We are not dead yet but we need a draw when Ross County and Hamilton meet.
