virtuocity
More of a 'holding' statement, which is absolutely fine as long as there is a more toothier release to follow.
Glencraigs_killie
On holiday in America at moment good to see KFCSA releasing this statement hopefully this can spur a quick resolution to this problem and get rid of the pariah that is slowly killing off our great club.
a1killiefan
Looking forward to the next statement. With organisation we can get MJ out.
Charlie's Dad
Good opener. Would love to see this being resolved soon but can't see M.J.making it easy.
DickTurpin
Johnston's only concern is Michael Johnston the fact him and his family had shares in the oldco Rangers, is evidence enough where his loyalties lie the fact he refused £1.9 million for his shareholding he only paid £1 for shows him up for the disgrace he is, he has no concern for our club

Gallus
I dunno how much truth is in this. I just can believe that Johnstone would knock back 1.9m, doesn't make sense.
KillieBison
Excellent. Hopefully this is finally the time.

Why on earth would he turn down nearly 2 million quid? An equally valid question is - who on earth would offer him £1.9m and why?
bigkillieman
Bet £1m goes to Moffat. So less than £1m for Mr popular
Charlies PaPa
Do not believe Moffat comes in to the equation. However I am sure that the bank will claim back some of the money if MJ sells before 2019.

IIRC he is 62 next January, his Legal practice income (excluding KFC) may well have fallen significantly as he devotes all his time to the football club. See bigkillieman's response, I think there could well be an agreement between him and JM to recover some of the Directors loans that were written off. And your last question is the one that I cannot fathom, he has made well over £1m from Fee income etc over the years for minimal investment, just greed in my opinion.

As part of the debt write-off deal with the bank, JM wrote-off a loan of £885,000, near enough to £900k which would leave a round million for our hero.
