Squirrelhumper
Checked yesterday and the accounts are over a week late being submitted to HMRC. Anyone want to guess when the AGM will be? We've deragged our heals on naming the date for AGM's for the past few years for a variety of reasons. Wonder what this years is? Heard the long standing auditors and the accountant have both chucked it too. Shame, as John Collins was decent to listen to and is actually a Killie fan.
anndeetee
Failing to meet HMRC deadlines is normally bad news... ...and they want us to fork out for a ST in April without knowing what division, if any the club will be in!
Squirrelhumper
They might have met the deadline but according to the website they hadn't been submitted. I just don't see why every year there appears to be a saga around when we hold the AGM.

piffer
Were we not told it was previously delayed due to illness and it would be a one off. It's now getting so late it will almost be back to the original time slot in the year for holding the AGM. Its things like this that show how Mickey Mouse an organisation we have become. Even a simple we are sorry we've been delayed because of whatever reason would help a bit. As it stands you can't help be suspicious of those running the club and wonder what they may be covering up.

HMRC deadline for submitting accounts is 12 months after the year-end. Any tax payable on profits (ha!) must be paid 9 months after the year-end. It's the deadline at Companies House which is apparently missed (automatic £150 fine), although as SH says, the accounts may have been submitted in time but the website is yet to be updated for this.

We are in the state we are in because we have accepted it. I don't mean the posters on here but the vast majority of our support whose interest extends only as far as the team on the park.

Bobby Street Roll
I'm far from a financial whizzkid but if the last set of accounts were filed on the 30th May last year isn't that the starting point for this years? Hopefully someone who understands this crap can clarify.

Hopefully someone who understands this crap can clarify. The last set of accounts showed the financial results for the year to May 2014. We then took a year to file them i.e publish them with Companies House instead of the 9 months we were supposed to take. The next accounts will show the performance for the 12 months to May 2015. These should've been filed by the end of last month but appear to be late again. Which normally doubles the late filing penalty.
