Very poor result after what had been a good 1st half, indeed Well should have paid to get back in at HT.2nd half allowed the game to become very scrappy which suited them, and quality of ball into the box was much poorer.Their full backs also closed off Sammon and Jones 2nd half and stopped Taylor getting forward. Was crying out for a change of tactics/subs.

However,Samson an utter disgrace at the penalty with his behaviour.Yes,Boyd should have scored, but how often do you see goalkeepers allowed to carry on like that.Wouldn't have shaken Samson's hand going off that's for sure.

Tbf when you're a s**te excuse for a goalie, you need to do whatever you can

Can't help but feel an earlier sub would have given them something different to think about. I'm not even sure how much credit to give them for the first half, Motherwell were dreadful. There is quality in that team but not leadership or intensity to the play.

I know he scored, but thought Boyd had a poor game. Our problems are fixable, I'm worried we don't have time to fix them...

Same mistakes keep happening each week that cost us. Our set piece defending has been poor for years now and continues to lead us to lose games. We are the only team in the league that consistently loses the ball from throw ins. Our team is also very static with people refusing to move around to create space for us to pass the ball into. Not to mention we still have 2 banks of players either defence or attack nothing in between to carry the ball forward. Also why do always wait till it's too late to make subs, Umerah should have been on at 60 mins for boyd to give us mobility up front. Until these problems are fixed you forget about anything else as we won't consistently win games and so forever be fighting a battle against relegation. What i would give for a borja perez player to hold the ball in midfield and actually pass to our own man.

How did he not get booked for that?

The other player did less and got a yellow.

They hooked Lasley at half time and sped the game up and we didn't respond until they had scored.  We had a decent spell and they got the second against the run of play and sat back.

Mark McGhee must be raging Bobby Madden hadn't reffed in their previous two games or he'd still be in a job.
