Irrespective of the roles the principal is the same you can't state how much of a fan they are to support your argument for them being the best candidate for the position. I think that's nonsense. Passions good but belies the fact that it is a tiny percentage of what a manager should be. An administrative employee of the club loving it and going home and away is excellent, but in a manager I'd much rather have tactical nous and a clear strategy in the transfer market.
