Alex Samizadeh

Assume it's a loan deal going by the previous quotes from Bolton.... if permanent would we not have to pay a development fee?

Will be interesting to see him over a number of games....and how he can adapt, on the brief outing today looks kind of player who needs to play off a striker , or as a front 2 ...but does give us another option at least

Why no official announcement like all other 5 summer signings?

Confirmed as signed ......quote from McCulloch after Livvy game

“We have signed Alex Samizadeh. He has passed his medical. I have a feeling he is going to be a fans’ favourite.”

It's permanent.

"Bolton Wanderers can confirm that Alex Samizadeh has left the club to join Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock.

The forward made two first team appearances during his time at Macron Stadium.

Everybody at Bolton Wanderers would like to thank Alex for his efforts during his time at the club and wish him well in his future endeavours."

Hel need to bulk up a wee bit I think as was getting brushed off ball. Looked a good out ball when putting the ball though, good speed and drive for ball.

ALEX Samizadeh has signed a permanent deal with Scottish club Kilmarnock.

The Bolton News understands the striker turned down the chance of a third-year scholarship to pursue a professional deal in the SPL.

Wanderers had initially discussed a loan deal with Lee McCulloch’s side as they waited for the Iran-born 18-year-old to make his decision this summer.

But Phil Parkinson confirmed he could not offer him pro terms, feeling he was not ready to step up into the senior ranks of Championship football.

“He has signed, it isn’t a loan,” he told The Bolton News. “Kilmarnock asked us about taking him on and I just felt Alex wasn’t going to be good enough for what we need.

“He has gone up there now and we wish him the best.”

Samizadeh made two sub appearances for Wanderers, the first of which was as a late substitute at Brentford in the Championship.

He was loaned out on work experience to Conference North neighbours Chorley last season and boasted a competitive scoring record at Under-18s and Under-23s level.

Well if he cant offer more than Boyd did last night, we're in big trouble. Hopefully hell be the striker weve been crying out for.

Unless the rest of the team sort out their distribution he won't be. I don't actually think many of them would recognise it's pointless going high to the wee man.

Welcome to Killie and hopefully a good move for parties

If fans and more importantly our management are pinning our hopes on an 18 year old, new to professional football, moving to a new country, then we are in even bigger trouble than last night's shambles.

He should be integrated into the first team over the course of the season if he shows the ability and effort, but will surely rank behind a more established, yet to be signed striker!
