Well Ross County had Burke that he chose over St Johnstone at the time.

We came out about 2 minutes before Celtic for the second half. Greer spent that entire time giving Wilson really detailed, full on coaching. Arms out, showing positions, showing where to go. One take is good on him. Is it too cynical to ask why our manager isn't doing that? Are the players just not getting the coaching? We held a better Celtic team to a one Nil with a worse squad last year. Worrying - although hard to really judge against a team that good.

Disappointed that we've crumbled so easily. Yes, Celtic are miles ahead of the rest but that doesn't excuse our inability to put in a performance. Professional footballers living the dream and, pretty obviously, not giving a monkeys f**k about the supporters. We had a worse team ( on paper) last season and didn't  crumble like this against Celtic. If they can't raise themselves for a game like this, they should reconsider their profession. Not good.

Im sure we lost 6-1 In september last season?

not that its an excuse, sounds shocking tonight. The most surprising stats for me is just six 6 fouls (celtic have had 9), which has to suggest a lack of any sort of fight or desire to get a grip on the game when celtic have had 70% possession and 20 shots. Either that or we are so far off the pace we cant even trip them up!

Really disappointed by this tonight. Better teams than us will go to Celtic Park and get beat but we are getting horsed regularly when we go up there whether it be by one goal or six.

Its a huge blow but it's not just about going out the cup. This is a huge blow to the confidence of a squad in the early stages of their time together. It knocks the positivity which has been around the place.

It's got to be a mentality thing. The one manager who wasn't afraid of the OF was the one in recent years with most success in Glasgow. Too often it seems we are beat before we start and that starts with the management and works it's way down.

The stats are horrendous. No shots on goal, no corners, nothing. Yet we've only given away 6 fouls to Celtic's 9. Surely at the very least we could provide a physical presence and let them know they're in a match like St Johnstone did to us on Saturday.

The worrying thing is Partick have eased past a St Johnstone side 3-0 whom we struggled against.....

Left after 77 minutes but have seen enough.

We gave in long before the penalty and I doubt our 3 midfielders made a tackle in the first 30 minutes. Wilson was clearly told to tuck in but it left Benyu to have the freedom of Parkhead, not that he did much with it. Erwin was isolated but looks about as much use on his own as Boyd and I don't know where Burke was playing first half. Celtic are good, very good but it took a daft McKenzie trip to get our first booking. That was a training session for Celtic and they'll face harder 5-a-side games at Lennoxtown than tonight.

Wasn't expecting anything other than a defeat but was hoping it wouldn't be one which would damage the confidence of the team. Sounded on the radio like one way traffic from the start to the finish. Very disappointing, didn't seem to compete at all and although they are miles ahead of everyone else in Scotland they were playing quite a few young lads.

A cup game against Celtic in Glasgow on a Tuesday night is not going to define our season. Celtic look set to go unbeaten again this year. A few young players were thrown in but those boys would have had so much determination and desire to not be the ones who lose the invincible tag that no one was gonna beat them tonight.

The manner of the defeat is the sickening thing, it was basically a training exercise for Celtic but the most important thing is the players get it out their system asap and move on to a hearts game on Saturday that is winnable. Might seem hard to believe after that but it is.

Never understood this "confidence" malarkey. When you are competent and good , confidence is a by product. If you aren't , then, why be confident? I think folk mean that if we get lucky , then we might get lucky again .

We've been lucky for half a decade , our football has been woeful .Celtic games don't count, frankly , they should be playing in a different league . The test will be whether we have a plan , a manager who can carry out that plan and players who can execute it .
