Hawkeye the Gnu
Paul Clarke was one of the best defenders I've seen at RP. Apart from his consistency and partnership with Big D, do I recall an overhead kick of a goal line clearance, or am I just pished as I write this? Anyways, ultimately he chose the polis over us and was seen pounding the town centre beat for a while. Nice guy, brilliant central defender,, guid polis........still not as good as his brother tho'. historyman
Was at an away match at Thistle in the 80s. He had a fantastic partnership with McDicken. Neither of them would have dreamed of letting a player run past them.

I'm sure there was a photo of the clearance in the paper.
