Mclean07
Took a friend, who supports Darlington, to the match. He said " why are they punting the ball up to the front men all the time, those big Hearts defenders will soak that up all day long ". I said " go down to the dugout and ask him. I haven't a clue ". He enjoyed the day, ( well the pie and the crossbar challenge ), thought it felt like a real family club, liked the ground and thought the standard was about mid/lower first division in England. Interesting crowd comparison. Darlington, who are on a high and working their way back up the leagues, only have a core support of around 1500 from a town of 100,000 and struggle to increase it. They were even dafter than us and built a 25000 seater stadium which is now a white elephant in the town.
skygod
They don't even play there any more.

Squirrelhumper
Darlington had 1000+ away fans last night for a 100 odd mile round trip which was decent midweek. Stockport are a huge club in that league also. Edited August 16, 2017 by Squirrelhumper

Away support larger than would be expected from their home numbers. Loyal core.

If that's the case then I don't know what is worse - the fact that the players are ignoring his instructions or the fact that he didn't do anything about it.

That was his comments after the Ayr Derby ffs, now either the players are incapable of following a game plan or LM is unable to get the message across. Either way it's worrying times......
