kfc_superteam
The Scottish Sun BUG-BY PARK Kilmarnock boss Lee McCulloch left with selection headache for Motherwell match after FIVE players were hit with tonsillitis Midfielder Adam Frizzell missed out on Scotland Under-21s’ 2-0 win against Holland and McCulloch confirmed several others were affected KILMARNOCK boss Lee McCulloch has been left with a selection headache after a tonsillitis bug swept through Rugby Park. Killie face Motherwell tomorrow as they aim for their first win of the new campaign following a 2-2 draw with Hamilton before the international break. KENNY RAMSAY - THE SUN GLASGOW McCulloch may have a number of players missing for tomorrow’s trip to Fir Park And they may have to do so without a number of players after the contagious virus made its way through the first-team. Midfielder Adam Frizzell missed out on Scotland Under-21s’ 2-0 win against Holland on Tuesday as a result of the virus while Kris Boyd is a doubt for tomorrow’s match as he recovers from a hamstring strain. McCulloch confirmed there was more than one player who had been hit with the bug but was hoping to see ‘one or two’ recover in time to make the bench. He said: “We have a couple of players who will possibly miss this weekend’s game due to tonsillitis. One or two others, who’ve also had it, will, hopefully, make the bench. “There have been four or five cases of it in the club, which I’ve never known before. It’s contagious and it drains the individuals who catch it so we’ll need to see how the boys feel in the morning. “Fortunately, we have few fresh injury problems – Kris Boyd has pulled up with a hamstring problem, which is strange because I thought you needed pace to get them. “We’ll give him up until the last minute to make it but the tonsillitis is our main concern at the moment because some of them haven’t been able to make training. “It sets us back a bit but our squad is big enough so we should be in a position to give other people a chance. Adam Frizzell had to pull out of the Scotland Under-21 squad last week because of the illness. “He was back training this morning, though, so he should be okay to travel to Fir Park.”
bute-killiefan
They need to stop sharing Capri Suns at training. This sort of thing could have been avoided. Also, that headline is horrific, no shock it's from the Sun Edited September 8, 2017 by bute-killiefan

Ooh, catty! The fact he's giving him until the last minute is a more accurate reflection of his thoughts.

I've been pretty defensive of him thus far and I like his (normally) professional approach. Clearly this is a joke, but it's not in good taste and also blurs the respect lines between manager and player. If he wants the players to respect him as a manager, these kind of "in jokes" need to be kept behind closed doors. Doesn't help that it's true either.
