Gallus
With the money floating about down south and reported interest from Fulham and Norwich, how much is he worth in the current market? Would it be mental to be asking for 2-3 million? Not sure how long he has left on his contract
Bullitt
Yes, yes it would be mental. Lucky to get 2-300k sadly and his contract is up at the end of this year.

Still, I think if we get offered £300,000 he'll be gone.
Bazmundo
Lee stated JJ had two years left on his contract at the KFCSA AGM. Edited September 20, 2017 by Bazmundo

No it's not, at the AGM it was mentioned by both LM & JK he signed a 3 year deal when he joined, so he has next season to go too.
aldo
did Fulham not get about 7 million for sone aluko? and he's s**t. if we give jj away for few hundred k, it'll be a disgrace

Bite their hands off for anything like 300k.
Pompey Repatriated
500k sounds about right.

He hasn't done enough, or been consistent enough, at this point for us to be commanding more. If any of Couli's sale proceeds are still in the bank then I'd argue we don't need to sell him right now, and shouldn't unless we get something into he £750k region. His value in use to us is currently higher than than the fee we could realistically command. Are you basing it on his time at Rangers and Aberdeen? He was a very effective player for Fulham. Yes, £8 m for him is ludicrous but at least he is an established Championship player. Jones seems to be a Scottish Premiership player with question marks over his end product. Any club buying him would have to hope they can remedy this. On the basis of that, as others have said, any reasonable six- figure offer would be good business for someone signed for free.

If we could remedy final ball/end product issue then you might be talking £2million. Clearly that's the future for clubs like us so a bit disappointing that management team haven't resolved the issue yet!
Fletch
We know what the money is like in England. Over the past few days the Football League have signed a bigger TV deal too. A player of 22 with a year and a half left to run on his deal we should be looking to get £1M+ for him IMO, anything less is a derisory offer these days. Given that we know the money situation down south Scottish clubs really need to start standing up for themselves in this respect and stop believing that any player who plays here is worthless. Do what Hibs did with McGinn, come out and state an unrealistically high fee. Ask for £4M and see what they offer, if you get a quarter of that it probably isn't a terrible deal. PrestersKtid
We apparently knocked back 2 offers from Aberdeen in the window, be interesting to see how much for. I'd say he's currently worth 350-500k. If he finds a few more goals and assists come january it could rise to coulibaly levels.
historyman
While he is certainly one of our better players and on his day is a match for any defender in the SPFL I don't think he is good enough for the English championship
piffer
I don't think he's worth anymore than £300k at the moment. He's entertaining and a joy to watch but his assists and goals still leave a lot to be desired. When he finds consistent end product we will struggle to hold on to him. He has the skill and potential to be worth a lot but he's got to deliver week in week out to command a big fee. Having said that the English market is crazy and could potentially be worse in January when teams are panicking or giving that little bit extra in their promotion push
Wrangodog
If both Norwich and Fulham maintain their interest it could be over £1m. A lot depends on how he progresses. At the moment he doesn't seem to know when to pass or shoot and his crossing isn't great, but he has great pace and excellent ball control. If he starts scoring regularly then £1m would be a starting point for bids. I would be sorry to see him go as he is an exciting player to watch and we don't have too many of them.
All the Wine
The lads final ball and finishing is chronic most times, and he makes poor decisions hence why he's with us. I was hoping for a big season from him this year, around 10 goals perhaps, doubt he'll get that. Bags of potential but in reality if you were to get 500k for him right now it'd be a fair price. I'd like to see him stay and develop though We need to forget about the silly money getting thrown about down south. DrewWylie
Ffs one goal and he's a world beater, I do like him and he's one of our better players who we don't want to lose --- another lee Clark signing squirrel ---if he went to England we'd probably get decent money for him as the market is totally f**ked there
Killiepies
Barry McKay went for £500k and IMO is a better player than Jones .Scored more goals and played for a bigger team .Ohallaran is another one in that postion who is similar and no one has even looked like giving newco the money they bought him for .If we get £500k we will be doing well
Bullitt
If he gets into the Ireland squad and a few caps that should add a little to his market value. The lad has a Killie tattoo now so he's clearly a happy chap here. Offer him an extension for another two years with a £1m release clause and up his wages. Secures all parties.
piffer
At the moment he's not influencing matches in the same way as Magennis and then Coulibaly were before we sold them. That's going to be the benchmark for us. We could compare what other clubs are getting but we have to take into account negotiation skills, financial status and other issues.
fraz65
If we did get anything like £300,000 for him, the much-derided "eleven signings in one day" would have to go down as a successful bit of business.
Dan1el
As everyone who watches us is well aware Jones blows hot & cold and the reason he is with us, (much like Dom Thomas) if he gets a few international caps and can get a run of form we'd probably be looking at 500kish? I think hes still got a lot to learn and would do well to stay at us for at least a year or so, as someone mentioned he dosnt have the impact of a Mcgennis and he was no world beater.
Scooby_Doo
The reason we (and other Scottish clubs for that matter) take such low values is down to our own inferiority complex. This comes from the 'top', people who tried to jemmy in a new club straight into the Premier League as they weren't capable of selling a product without 'Rangers' to anyone. As much as people deride 'the best league in the World', Sky made it that way by marketing the hell out of it. Turn on Radio Scotland and you won't have to wait long until you hear how poor the product is. If you keep saying it, people believe it. Unfortunately we keep saying the wrong thing.
mathematics
If Jones can learn from Burke concepts such as running into space then he could be sold for over a million. Currently, however, he has a lot to learn. The pace will fade, he needs to learn how to play.
