historyman
Very surprising after delivering a promotion to the top flight a top six finish and a cup. Think he would be better for us than McCulloch.
mathematics
McIntyre was on a very strict set of "keep your job" criteria and has been circling the drain for quite some time. Not well liked by his players.
Wrangodog
My daughter works with a guy who used to play for him and he has a very low opinion of McIntyre. Must admit I am surprised at the sacking.

Killie alan
Very surprised at that one just seen it. A nice guy to speak to allways has a high regard for killie. But wouldn't want him as manager. Don't like wee Dodds.
Dieter's Heeder
Hopefully neither of us will have a manager by the time we face each other on Saturday.

WIGHT and BLUE
A lot of UB40's being handed out. If only our board - have we got one - had some testicles!

WIGHT and BLUE
... Surely that would then involve Greenock Morton?
Mister Y
Under MacIntyre this season County have beaten Dundee and drew with Thistle, losing only to top 6 teams....
Mojike and Bod
If we lose Sat nothing will happen. The Board will think we can win at Firhill and turn it around. I'm pretty confident we will win on Saturday.
Scouser2
Strange timing given the upcoming break after this Saturday's game but probably points to longer term disenchantment with management team than just the past few results........not ideal for us given way some teams seem to respond to managerial change

Players deciding the manager they like. I'm increasingly wary when players clamour to get the no2 the job when a manager gets sacked on the basis he's a good guy in the dressing room

skygod
1 hour ago, mathematics said: Let's hope not. Why so? Must be more than just "not liked by his players". That to me is a neutral, even a positive. Players want to play for a manager who is a winner, not someone who is their best friend. At least, at 45, he wouldn't bring in his old team-mates. His Points Per Game record at County is superior to every Killie manager since Mixu. I'd have him in situ tonight. historyman
Agree. It's not a popularity contest. A manager needs to be a winner first and foremost.
