Rangers match

Recommended Posts

Pretty grim tactics so far, not great to watch from a Killie point of view. We've been well organised and have been defending strongly, but it was inviting a goal all along. No pressing whatsoever in the Rangers half, sitting too deep and not looking to get a foot on the ball. We've had a couple of promising breaks, rather than any spells of actual possession.

Jordan Jones took a ball down wonderfully in the box and should have scored. Taylor cut in and had a shot with his right when he should have burst the net or squared it for Boyd. Other than that not much to report up that end. Macdonald with a good save down our end five minutes before the goal.

Let's not get too down, both Ibrox & Parkhead are a free hit for SC, if we pick up anything it's a bonus....

Come out 2nd half and have a go at them, get Jones on the ball running at that defence.

Power playing well. We need to keep ball better to allow us to get out. Jones looks dangerous. - if we can get him to run at the defence . Rangers playing quite high up the park. Boyds only touch so far has been restart. Not sure why he's on

the goal was coming just got deeper and deeper. We're playing like they are a good team. they're not. Taylor should have scored or laid it on a plate for Boyd. MacDonald had a world class save about 10 minutes before the goal

Been pretty s**t so far. Players have defended well overall and stuck to their task but it has been so defensive. The only tactic has been pump it up to jones.

Hopefully we come out and go all guns blazing now. We have nothing to lose.

Interesting half time entertainment on hun TV...

The comments thread is a hell of an echo chamber.

Really disappointed tonight. The tactics and striker selection I would expect from Lee McCulloch.

Hopefully Clarke appreciates the need for a fit, in the shape expected of a professional, footballer and rectifies this as a matter of urgency. whether it's a free transfer, someone from within the squad, or worst case scenario, start identifying targets for January.

We look too scared of them

That’s half the battle with the old firm. This hun team are pants. Unfortunately so are we. Rome wasn’t built in a day etc etc

Clarke was at the semi final. surely he seen how aggressive and how much intensity Motherwell played with. he should have been showing that semi final to the players are saying. . . do this!
