kildog
Just watched another interview with Steve Clarke. It just left me shaking my head a bit. I don't want to get carried away, but he is exactly what we need, it seems too good to be true. I can't believe he is actually our manager. How?

Gaz of the 20/20
He’s got us sitting in tight first half soaking up pressure and defending well then trying to hit on the break and grab something second half. Almost as if he’s worked with Jose Mourinho
kildog
Nah, think it was last week off BT Sport, http://sport.bt.com/clarke-explains-why-he-chose-kilmarnock-91364223694188 It's just a breath of fresh air having someone who comes across like a real football manager. talking about long term plans and stuff, it's genuinely exciting. Not felt like this since the Burns era. The Mixu purple patch was too short lived and for all his achievements Bobby Williamson rarely inspired. I hope he keeps delivering stuff to cheer about and remember. Edited October 28, 2017 by kildog
bwa86
its exciting times. not getting too carried away but it seems like we could be going on the up. i can only barely remember the burns era as a kid and the great support we had. be great to get back to that enthusiasm because killie has a lot of potential with the right people in charge
aumgn
This past week has been absolutely magic. My best memories of football were when I was first going as a wee guy round about when Burns came/Fleeting years and I really feel like we could be going places. The past few years have been hard going!
Jedi2
Hopefully we can not only start moving up the table, but also this time when the Scottish Cup comes around, with the right man in charge, and some decent draws, also time for a long overdue Cup run.

We have had some highs and lows since then. It is just possible we at be moving away from our current malaise.

gordonp
The first quality manager we have had for a long time.....inspires confidence in and out of the team! For the first time for a long time the players know there is no hiding place and no bulls**t factor tolerated!! And you are either a full time professional footballer, a part time footballer and part time pundit or a full time pundit......make the choice and get fit or not!!
Malkmus
If we stay unbeaten until the end of May I think we should keep him.
gordonp
Tommy MacLean was the best kicker of a dead ball ever. He could place the ball on the head of a sixpence....just ask Ross Mathie!! Unfortunately he couldnae tackle anything.....but the famous Number 7 for Killie was my hero. Gutted when he went to Rangers. That Killie team.....Forsyth, King, McGrory, Beattie, McIlroy, Sneddon, hamillton, et al ...wow!
gordonp
Remember Gerry Queen that went to Crystal Palace?? And our goaikeeper that went to West Ham.....what was his name?

KillkieBoab
A bit later there was this guy called Paul Clarke who we reputedly rejected a £100k bid from Stoke for. Anybody know anything about him?
MJout
Even reading this forum has been a pleasure this last week. Not a negative anywhere. Has that ever happened?
gordonp
As I said before this is no fluke. When you get a quality coach who commands the respect of the players and who puts his mark down it makes a difference. Lee McC was the classic 'previous player trying to be mates with his ex team mates'.............when has that ever worked anywhere?? Steve Clarke comes with an unquestionable pedigree and any player who thinks he is bigger than him will quickly be told to go and eff off...good!! KB ...I think he is listening!!!

ross1987
His quote today about never going into a game thinking you'll lose "there's always a way" and "disappointed we didn't win one of the games this week" f**king brilliant Edited October 28, 2017 by ross1987
Mclean07
Be good if people could spell Tommy McLean's name correctly. To mention him in the same breath as Jordon Jones is sacrilege. His end product was perfection. -
Mclean07
To think Kiltie and Dicker are to come back, and Stevie hasn't opened his contact book yet.
