Just my opinion. Please forgive me if I am a wee bit over sensitive here but what I am picking up from the above remark is "He really doesn't deserve any sympathy because he misbehaved in some unknown way in a sexual context." I personally think the situation is much more likely to have destabilised him if he did not understand what he was supposed to have done wrong. Actually it is not a question of whether he "did it" or "did not do it" that is in question here as no-one can possibly now that. What is being questioned is how "the accusations" were "processed".

Just my opinion. Sorry, I can't agree there. If he was wrongly accused, but felt he wasn't going to get a fair chance to defend himself, or felt that the public would assume he was guilty anyway, then that would have a detrimental effect on anyone's mental health.

He was a Labour MP and chief whip for years. He will have a neck as thick as a tree trunk. If I was accused of abuse & I was innocent I would fight my corner & drag them all through the courts. Just my opinion. The Welsh 1st minister seems to be getting blamed for Sargeants death. He wasn't charged with anything he was sacked from his ministerial post. He was still an member of the Welsh parliament. Labour party fecked it up yes but I still have a sneaking suspicion that the groping claims may be true. IMO. PS, his family deserve sympathy but he himself, I will reserve judgement. Edited November 10, 2017 by harley

As you remarked elsewhere I seem to remember, it looks like somebody in the polis had it in for him on a personal level. Seems a bit unprofessional from our boys in blue. Looking at the Met. rape cases collapsing around them right now the polis are no looking very good at present.
gdevoy
Looks like the revenge of Bob Quick, who was forced to resign after trying to prosecute Green for having porn on his computer in 2008. Then he saw the inappropriate touching investigation as an opportunity to play his joker. A long and sordid tale of backstabbing and backstabbing the backstabbers. Aren't our politicians and senior police officers such role models to us all.
Scooter
He didn't resign because of the hook though, he resigned because of the way he tried to wriggle off the hook! Isn't that always the way? And his friend David Davis said he would resign if Green was forced out... we're still waiting!
