Scooter
So, would you be okay with it if an SNP MSP disappeard for 3 weeks of reality TV?

It is to a certain extent, but yes the tabloids would have a field day if an SNP MSP did the same as Kezia. I voted SNP for my MP and MSP, I know they are both female but until I looked online I couldn't name either. Don't agree with any politician appearing on celebrity shows, not that I watch them.
Zorro
Appearing on a reality show will ensure Kez is better known than the current Scottish branch office manager of Labour. Saying that, even Richard Leonard’s mum would struggle to pick him out of a lineup. The words bland and vapid could have been invented specifically for him.
gdevoy
Just realised she is a list MP so cannot be voted out by discontented constituents. So it is down to the Scottish labour party to de-select her. I find the whole episode highly unsavoury and would not hesitate to give her her jotters but who knows in today's mental world where you can loose you job for saying that women are generally not really interested in computer coding or for engaging in "unwanted hugs". Perhaps taking several weeks off work to make an exhibition of yourself on some mindless TV show is the future for our parliamentary representatives.
Pelesboots
I wouldn't be surprised if she steps down as a MSP as soon as she returns home.
Scooter
"It's an amazing opportunity to talk to young people about politics and in particular, Labour values." - Wee Kez, Nov. 17 She's been in the jungle for a week now... I'm assuming her fan is watching, so any update on 'progressive politics' or 'Labour values' she has been able to communicate?

So I suppose it depends on whether you think "Nu Labour" is the future or whether you think the founding fathers of the Labour Party had an ideal worth striving for when you decide if she is qualified to talk about Labour values or not.

They must be thoroughly naïve if they thought the producers and ITV are going to allow one-sided - or any - political content in an entertainment show. It's a last-gasp attempt to earn a quick buck before she quits politics, imo.
Scooter
Of course she's gonna quit, before she's deselected... she's had her go at office supervisor then looked at Johann and Jackie n thought, is this what I've got to look forward to the next 30 years?
