Bobby14
Was reading the season diary’s from a few years back and it got me thinking. Who was the last player to retire whilst playing for Killie? From what I can see it was Ian Durrant, but is there anyone more recent?
KFCSteve
Was it not Lee McCulloch albeit he never played many games for Killie?
CB
Skora, Faubert?, as @KFCStevesays, McCulloch.
piffer
McCulloch would be the last I can think of. Skora retired through injury in 2008 while still with us I think. Gary Locke?
Bobby14
Forgot about Lee McCulloch and Gary Locke is a good shout, didn’t realise he was on the books til 2009! Faubert went to play in Finland according to his Wiki. Most players drop down the leagues now, must be as a result of the wages earned in Scotland and prolonging a short career.
piffer
Barry Nicholson retired at the end of 13/14 season with us and went to Fleetwood for a coaching role

Dieter's Heeder
Wee bit off topic, but who was the referee who's last match before retirement was at RP a few years ago? Got a decent ovation from the Killie fans IIRC.

Got a decent ovation from the Killie fans IIRC. Sandy Roy (the cup final lino) asked for his last game to be at RP. Might also have been the same day as Durrant's last I'd need to double check Now that I'm thinking about it, his last game might have been the previous season against St Johnstone. There was an extra camera at the tunnelly bit next to the dugouts to film him for a piece for sportscene. Think they showed it on cup final day that year. No mention of him playing for anyone after his last game for us although according to Wiki he was approached to play for Gibraltar in Euro Qualifying in 2014 Edited November 18, 2017 by piffer
skygod
I think the answer to the question is Lee McCulloch - before him, Barry Nicholson - although some players currently without clubs could replace him, eg Miles Addison.
