skygod
Greg Taylor is the sixth most fielded U21 full back (% of minutes) in European domestic league matches since 1 July 2017. Kelvin Amian (Toulouse) 100% Aaron Martin (Espanyol) 100% Christian Manea (CFR Cluj) 100% Angelino Tasende (NAC Breda/ Man City loan) 100% Matus Kunik (FC Nirta) 100% Greg Taylor (Kilmarnock) 98% Kieran Tierney is only on 90%. They are the only Scots-based U21 players in any position with 90% or more game-time. Before anyone points it out, I know he's been playing MF recently, but the statisticians don't seem to take positional changes into account. Edit - Of the top six, Taylor is the second youngest after Amian, who is the current France U21 right back. chubbs
Was he not one of the youngest players with the most minutes played last season in the whole of Europe?
skygod
I'm sure he must have been with 3,033 minutes out of a possible 3,420 in league matches (89%). If he hadn't been sent off and suspended for two matches for battering Barton, it would have been even higher. Quite phenomenal, having only played two matches before (Dundee United and Falkirk at the end of the previous season). These are the stats of a seasoned pro who is consistent and can stay injury-free week in/ week out. More than any of our other youngsters, he has shown how to grab a chance with both hands and make a name for himself. Scoring against Brazil in Toulon will have done his international reputation no harm either. Still to get off the mark for Killie though.... It can only be a matter of time before the club receives offers for him (if they haven't already) and a contract extension beyond 2019 would be a good idea. He must be on modest terms as he had just broken through when he signed his last extension in June 2016.

C4mmy31
Now that Mulumbu has signed, does anyone else think Taylor's maybe due a wee break before he burns himself out, he's not really had a break in 15 months, being involved with Scotland at Toulon & U21 games during the recent international breaks. Maybe a wee spell on the bench and a rest from 90 mins week in week out football, will do him the world of good for the 2nd half of the season.
