Two points; firstly, as I’ve repeatedly said, all keepers will make mistakes. MacDonald making the occasional mistake wouldn’t be an issue. It’s the fundamental flaws in his game, which are the issue. Liverpool didn’t target Pickford. Teams target MacDonald and he routinely comes up short. Secondly; I watch quite a bit of English football and I’m struggling to come up with anything close to MacDonald’s howler last week. If you can think of one, send that teams manager Jamie’s “highlight” reel, and with the overinflated prices they pay down south, im sure it’s only a matter of time before we’re rolling in cash.

I wonder why a big club hasn’t come in for him already? Could it be...

Were you watching a lot of English football this weekend if so you must be really annoyed that a few of them highly paid English goalies have been watching Jamie's coaching manual especially the Sunderland goalie yesterday who came out waving to his family in the stands instead of punching the ball or the Liverpool goalie today who was beaten at his near post! Yes Jamie has a lot to answer for or maybe he is not as bad as you are painting him after all!

In the spirit of fairness I’ll concede MacDonald made it through this weekend without any glaring mistakes.

When you were watching these games, did you happen to notice the commentators and pundits criticising the mistakes? Even Shay Given, a former premiership and international keeper, got in on the act. What do they know though. I’m sure Jamie’s only at Killie till Man City or Barca need a new keeper.

Teams aren't that sophisticated in their analysis Z.

They all "target" JMacD because he is not the tallest, the same as most teams go for a long high ball down their right hand side when Greg Taylor is playing.

Hibs just happened to have good corner takers who were consistently able to put the ball in the right place.

This might come as a shock, but teams have their opponents watched. Sometimes, if the manager is free, he’ll go and watch their opponents too. This isn’t “sophisticated” it’s the norm.

Quite and did you hear our manager Steve Clarke criticise Jamie after the hibs game? But what would he know after all he was an outfield player in his playing days so maybe it should only be ex premiership/international goalkeepers who should criticise any goalkeepers ----what team and position did you play for in your footballing career if that is your criteria for continually criticising Jamie Mac.???

I know you already know this, because I’ve stated it repeatedly in our conversations; everyone is entitled to a view on a players performance or ability. You keep trying to make out we are some kind of cult and only SC is entitled to an a opinion. Sorry but that’s not how football works. And if we follow your stupid thinking to it’s logical conclusion, you’re not entitled to an opinion on any of these players either. So why do you keep bringing the discussion up? Cheap likes imo

And no I didn’t here SC criticise MacDonald after the Hibs game, or the Aberdeen game or the rangers game at Ibrox, it’s not his style. He saves his public criticism for the overall team performance. I’m willing to bet players are given some home truths in the dressing room and with a new keeper being sounded out on a move to Scotland, MacDonalds days are numbered.

And by the same mode of thinking you are dissecting Jamie MacDonald's performances and by saying you are questioning his ability as a goalkeeper I am only enquiring if you have the professional qualifications to do so . As I have also stated many times to you I  am not an ex player of a very high level but am only a supporter of KFC who tries to support the players selected for our great club. I in my opinion don't think Steve Clarke shares your view that MacDonalds ability as a goalkeeper is seriously in question but I do also concede he may very well be looking to bring in somebody else for the longer term  not just for goalkeeper but other areas of the team only time will tell. Please accept that I fully respect all supporters right of opinion to comment on any of our players or team performances but as long as they are chosen by our management team to play for us they also deserve our full support no matter what position they p!ay and as you say the professional assessment of any of their performances should be carried out by them alone.

So you’re not even qualified to judge if I’m qualified to judge? I think you need to go for a wee lie down. Your own logic is tying you in knots.

No I'm obviously not qualified to accuse any of our players of being in your words a liability or having no ability so in that case I'm not qualified to judge a superior judgemental guru as yourself we are very humbled and honoured to have such a wonderful talented person such as you in amongst us totally irrelevant forum contributors and on behalf of us all thank you for being here to keep us all on the straight and narrow when it comes to assessing our opinions and observations when posting things about our players   oh s**t I think I've just tied myself in knots time for a wee lie down!!

I can see you’re not qualified to judge comedy either. You’re not very good at it and I doubt you’ve done it at a professional level.

At a time when for the first time in years we Killie fans have something to be thankful for and enjoy we still want to bash one of our own players.  This Zorro character is a disgrace and know matter what he comes back with his failing as a person far outways Jaime,s as a goalkeeper

The topic has become quite personal. Everybody is entitled to their opinion, of course they are, but the slagging of fellow supporters and an OTT analysis of our goalkeeper is not needed. As has been said before, if Jamie is good enough for SC, then he's good enough for me. Just like if there is a change in the position, the new incumbent will also get my support.

Oh I don't know I've been known to enjoy a good comedy act or show now and again and I've definitely got a good sense of humour after all its the basic requirement of being a Killie fan you should try and get yourself the odd happy tablet to help you along !

If you actually bothered to try and keep up, you’d notice it’s @Bbk who keeps bringing this issue up and he directs his questions to me. I was willing to let things lie but I’m also afforded the right to reply when some smartarse goes fishing for likes at my expense.

No happy pills required here and I’m not sure you’re qualified to give out medical advice anyway. Which medical school did you attend and what did you specialise in after you qualified? But tell us a joke anyway. Lets see what you’ve got.

Ach let's bow to the majorities wishes and give all this up its been a laugh most of the time and even you must admit has given us some sort of interest during the winter break.I can assure you that is how I've viewed all this between us and as I've said we are never going to fully agree on Jamie MacDonald. So let's just agree to disagree and look forward to the fitba being back on Saturday and if I ever meet you in civilian clothes I would be the first to buy you a pint.Once again let's put it all down to a wee bit of banter and as i've said in the past I do respect your opinion.Cheers!!
