Personal Dream Teams

From who I've seen "live" :

4-4-2

McCulloch

RB - McPherson

RCB - Monty

LCB - Dindeleux

LB - Tam Black

RM - Pat Nevin

RCM - Ally Mitchell

LCM - Tommy Burns

LM - Iain Bryson

Wullie Watters

Kris Boyd

Disclaimers :

cheated a wee bit with Ally Mitchell's position, but I wanted both him and Nevin in my team and Mitchell played a few games in centre mid from what I remember.

If my "dream team" was playing against Ayr, I would pick Johnny Sludden to partner Watters rather than Boyd just to annoy the Darkies .....

Narrowly missing out are Tam Broon, Craig Bryson, Big D, Paul Clarke, Sammy McGivern, Dylan Kerr and Bobby Geddes (there's ma subs bench ....)

And Bobby Williamson would be manager.

MID Eremeko
MID Naismith

ST McKee
ST Boyd

McKee is a bizarre inclusion. Undoubted talent but a total waster who rarely turned  up.

The beauty of if being a "Personal Dream Team".

Agreed that he didn't turn up as often as he should have, but on his day he was joy to watch running at defenders.

McKee was once described as the best young footballer at the club, by Man United and this was the same time as messrs Beckham, Neville’s, scholes, etc were coming through!

never the same after his injury early on with us and also a waster off the park.  Man U wouldn’t have allowed that, and I think neither would the likes of Shiels or Clarke,  but in those days we didn’t have a clue on that side.

Bell

Fowler Pascali Wright Hay

Kelly Mulumbu Bryson

Naismith Eremenko

Boyd

Subs/Honourable Mentions:

Combe, Dindeleux, Shiels, Dieter (obviously), Lilley, Stevie Murray, Dicker.

Heard of the legends of the past from my dad but I’m a reltively young fan so these are the best of what I’ve seen.

Too young to really appreciate the Scottish Cup winning side :(

Or Tam Black's moustache!  I'd select McPherson McGowan Dindeleux and thunderbolt free kick specialist Tam Black in defence, with big Lekovic.  Martin  Baker was also good at LB, but FK wise if you've got Eremenko with the right peg and Tam Black to put the laces through it with the left - devastating dream team!

It'd be really interesting to see whom the oldest living Killie fan would put in their dream team.  They'll be guys that should walk into the team not even quoted, cos the played 100 years ago - before VHS videotapes and Youtube were even thought of!

Why am I the only poster who thinks that our most-capped fullback of all time , Billy Dickson, was one of the best defenders we ever had and ought to be the first name on the team-sheet, just ahead of Tommy McLean ?

One of the oldest posters maybe? :9:

Totally agree.  Billy was a fantastic left back and he played for Scotland against England at Hampden in 1970. Terrible game resulting in a 0-0 draw.
