mathematics
Most recent film by In Bruges director Martin McDonagh. Features Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson, Sam Rockwell, and a few other well-known faces. Here's the trailer: Saw it last night and loved it. Mrs Mathematics prefers In Bruges, but she's clearly mental.
harley
I need to see this. Frances McDormand was brilliant in Fargo.

All the Wine
Went and saw it this afternoon. Great film, really morally grey in who or what you're rooting for. The actors getting the award nominations are fully deserved, be nice to see Woody Harrelson getting some credit too. Very much Frances Mcdormands film tho.

When I saw Seven Psychopaths I was heavily into that genre (very Coen Bros/True Detective (1st series). While I still enjoy these types of films, hence the reason I went to see it, the style is becoming a bit jaded. Being a huge McDormand fan, I was disappointed to find her a bit annoying in this film, agreeing to play to cheap laughs like kicking the kids for instance. I also thought McDonagh cynically played to the Academy by painting all the Black characters as good guys. I still enjoyed it though because alongside McDormand, Harrelson and Rockwell are amongst my very favourite actors.
mathematics
Fair enough, I didn't see 7P at the cinema, but on the tv, which certainly takes away a lot of the 'magic'.
cammy_boy
Looking forward to seeing this. Hopefully the start of next week.
historyman
I rarely go to the cinema. Is it worth making a trip to see this? I've heard it's a really good film as opposed to a lot of the rubbish that comes out these days.

If you can overlook what I said above and the redemptive ending for one of the film's unsavoury characters.
DuncanEwart
Just watched this and I really enjoyed it. I would certainly want Mildred Hayes fighting in my corner. And it has Clarke Peters in it.
