Cheerio Again Huns?

Considering Carlos Pena was being paid £20k a week and some of the other ridiculous sums of money they've paid out over the last couple of seasons after everything they've went through it would be all their own doing and you would have to say deserved

to put your fans through it once could be considered unforeseen if you were being kind but if it was to happen a second time it would be absolutely farcical and surely resign them to the history books

Could they be preparing to do a Motherwell. Go into admin and take a points hit. A chance to lose baggage and high earners. A dodgy way of getting your house in order since nothing else has worked. Out of admin by the end of the season and ready to go again.

I remember thinking this the last time they went into Admin

Got this of Wiki so take it with a pinch of salt but there are some similarities. Crazy operating losses. Change of manager to a cheaper option. Reassessing their transfer policy with more focus on homegrown or youth players.

By the end of Davies' tenure the club were in financial trouble. Eric Black was briefly in charge with the club floating near the foot of the table before it was placed in administration in April 2002 with losses approaching GBP 2 million yearly.[16]Black resigned, and was replaced by Terry Butcher. The club's outlook remained bleak as they were forced to make redundant or release 19 players and replace them with younger players; Boyle also placed the club up for sale.[17]Relegation in 2002–03 – normally automatic following a last-place finish in the league – was avoided on a technicality, as First Division winners Falkirk lacked a stadium meeting Premier League regulations.[18]

Despite the lack of resources, a number of young talented players were found to play for the club; crucially, when many of these moved on, including Stephen Pearson and James McFadden, they brought revenue in the form of transfer fees, and with John Boyle waiving the club's personal debt to him, its financial future was assured by the conclusion of the 2004–05 season with the club's yearly losses falling to one of the lowest figures in the Premier League[19]and the club coming out of administration in time to avoid a ten-point Premier League penalty which was being phased in for teams in administration.

Surely administration would result in a points deduction not relegation?

Isnt 10-15 points the standard for a clubs first administration?

The Sun has picked up on the statement from Oddschecker. The Sevconians are going ballistic about it. Apparently it’s a conspiracy (again).

Can hardly move for laughing, the night previously an article in the Sun said Naisy would play for them for free... that was gospel.

Today the Sun reporting administration... "load a s**te, don't read that pish"

If it's a new club it's 15 points, an old offence is 25 points.

Now this can't be spun by the SFA or Regan or Doncaster saying X, Y and Z. If they go into admin and are docked 15 points then that's the undeniable proof they are no longer Rangers.

It then means their going for 55 etc becomes null in void.

I hope it's 15 points I really really do!!

It would be a 25 point deduction unfortunately.....

Depends how late in the season they go into Administration..... if they deliberately leave it so late that they have avoided relegation before admin hits then the deduction can be applied the next season.

Don't think they are actually going to go into administration. Bookies seem to be suspending betting on quote a bit these days that don't actually happen

They are posting losses of around 1m per MONTH!

That is not a sustainable business, they still find cash to go to Florida right enough... but the (now loan) deal for Murphy has raised one or two eyebrows. McInnes not even entertaining going for the job. Chairman declared bankrupt. The fire sale to get rid of the Mexican flops. Something is badly badly wrong and I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's happening as early as next week.

Is this month or next too late. Get your transfer business done early as they seem to be and there is nothing stopping them. Any sales welcomed and after the window closes cost cutting can begin. Get rid of high earners and deadwood plus a few debts and they could be looking to come out of admin by the end of the season. All the while their squad should have enough about them to push for top six even with the deduction.

Is there a minimum period you have to be in admin for

I dont think so.  Some bookie has cocked up offering an overly generous 5000-1 on them finishing bottom.  Odds of that happening are not 5000 or 500 to 1.   Nothing like it, hence why markets been suspended.  Maybe 10-1 or 5-1 would be more realistic. 500-1 a crazy price given last 6 years of Scottish Football - bookies covering their backside here.
