Power solid.
skygod
Tommy Wright confirmed tonight he would like to get McKenzie in but "Kilmarnock seem to want him to stay." Edited January 30, 2018 by skygod
Wrangodog
Seems strange that he has featured more since the signing rumour started. Maybe we are hoping they want him badly enough to offer a fee to get him now, rather than a pre-contract deal.
Graeme S
Thats ridiculous that we should want to keep a player who is under contract to us! Seems a strange approach from Wright naming the players he is targetting? Its not that he is the manager of a massive club like the rangers who expect us minnows to bend over and allow them to take our players?

red_dug
The way i see it, it's between us and saints for 6th place. They're struggling for bodies, i definately wouldn't be helping them. Their top 6 tenure is due to come to an end for a long spell, just like ours did when JJ stayed too long.
kfc_superteam
St Johnstone are on the slide at the moment. Tommy Wright said that they will bring in a few players before Wednesday. I saw Scott Wright at Aberdeen was mentioned. If they get their players they will probably have enough to be competing for the top six. Rory is a strange one, he has picked up in the last few weeks but I still believe he is a championship level player. But you wouldn't want to sell him to a rival, or just let him go! -
Bullitt
I don't think St Johnstone will be near top six... in fact I think they will finish 10th. Bottom two will be Hamilton and Ross County. For me, it's Motherwell who have the squad to challenge us for top six.
Souleycouley93
Looks like we have offered Rory a 1 year extension . Apparently St J are offering a longer deal . Tommy Wright is pushing for him to go there this month . We would be due 50k or so in that case . Rory has been rumoured there for a while . I don’t know if he wants to leave though tbh .

Do we not have to offer a contract in order to receive compensation?

Yes, if we were eligible for compensation but we’re not, due to his age.

If he leaves today we'd be due compensation for the last 6 months of his contract. Otherwise he goes for free in summer.
killie billies pal
Rory wants to stay but also wants to play, has knocked back initial St J offer, will stay here if he gets chance. Hope he stays as it a good option in my opinion.
Souleycouley93
Do you know Rory ? I heard he wants to stay here . St Johnstone a good fall back if he cant guarantee game time . He’s only just 24 still could be a good player to have .
piffer
For some reason this is reminding me of Danny Invincibile. I know he has fans but there hasn’t been a clamour to renew his deal and for most of this 2yr deal he’s in he’s been nothing special a bit up and down. Do we want him here trying to earn a new deal only for him to go back to where he was/is at the moment. Yes it could go the other way but I have my doubts. There is talent there but like O’Hara and others before the change of scenery is probably needed for the player.
Neilly
Keep him till the end of the season it’s always nice to have a bigger squad to pick from

What they needed was a change of manager. Someone who showed faith in them and played them In a settled position. These guys have been scapegoated for bizarre signing policies and inept management.
Wrangodog
Most fans were surprised when O'Hara left, but were willing to give the Lee Clark regime a chance. McKenzie is Steve Clarke's choice whether to keep, sell, or release, I trust his judgement.

I’m glad SC keeps his own wanted list to himself rather that making it openly known as Tommy Wright must do if what your saying above is true.
