DG5
Disrespectful panel on s/sound. Why the fixation on the size of our crowds when there are other clubs with less number attending. Then talking about the cup draw saying Brora will be disappointed to be playing Killie. This will be there biggest cup tie in there history.
Sp3ckyh0td0g81
Because they're raging that their attempts to move SSC out the hot seat and into greyskull have been outsmarted by a man with more class in his pinky than the whole of the Scottish meeja combined
Skora11
Considering the weather and only 42 away fans, I was pleasantly surprised the attendance was just under 3600 think that's a decent turn out.

Agreed plus it was £20 which was a wee bit cheeky , perhaps B.B. was wanting the crowd to pay for his men clearing the pitch

historyman
Big increase on the gate for a similar game last year - and in that game we had half a team of new players to get all excited about
Alan56
And I believe those in hospitality are not included in the attendance figure. So add that.
red_dug
I assume its because our stadium is bigger than most so it looks worse. Fir park for example always looks busier but generally isnt.
Wrangodog
Hamilton was 2,944 with 335 away fans last year, so just 2,609 home fans.
Graeme S
IMO an increase of around 1,000 in terrible weather is a huge improvement.Well done to everyone including team, manager, club and of course the supporters!
red_dug
I assume dundee were also getting pelters as their crowd was almost identical to ours and ict had 100miles less to travel than county.
KillieBus
I'm vary wary of going Old Firm paranoid with things like this but it is getting very wearing. Dundee had less than us for a game against a team from the same area as Ross County. Did they get the same question asked?

Trojan76
To be fair, moreoften than not Sportsound have been very complimentary to the turn around at RP and SC, especially, Speirs and Tom English, even wee Chico Young has talked kindly about us

Bullitt
Never made it yesterday, however I think the attendance yesterday was marvellous considering the following: 1) Ross County brought 50 folk - so it was basically all Killie fans 2) Weather has been honking 3) Season tickets not included 4) Not a particularly glamorous fixture As mentioned above, that's almost a 1,000 increase from last year. If we can get a thousand fans back every year of Clarke's contract we'll be laughing!

piffer
Brora will be disappointed they are not playing a number of teams. They’ll be delighted to have drawn us though. There will still be a decent payday in it. Their manager will be keen to pit his wits against SC. Their players will fancy their chance as it’s a cup game and despite not being their first choice we are still a big scalp in this country

Cill Mheàrnaig
What a load of nonsense. The panel said on a number of occasions how well Killie had been playing, and complemented us on the turnaround on and off the park under Steve Clarke. They also said that Killie v Brora would be one of the ties of the round. The crowd against County wasn't mentioned, all that was said is that Brora would have preferred financially a draw away to Rangers, Celtic, Aberdeen or Hearts as they'd receive more from gate receipts. That is surely inarguable? Tom English and Richard Gordon spoke to the Brora chairman during which all parties agreed that this was a great draw for them. There's plenty on Sportsound etc to get pissed about - this isn't one of them.
Scooby_Doo
Agreed. No one knows how often (or otherwise) they knock Hamiltons crowd, because you don't care. It's Hamilton. But you care when it's Killie. But you shouldn't.
killieblues
Did they mention "the best, loyal fans in the world" being missing at Celtic Park? Only 24k there.
Dillinger
Do these clowns at Sportsound and the Daily Record who harp on about our supports, while giving other teams an easier ride, never see the irony in doing so when radio audiences and newspaper circulation are in massive decline? Maybe they ought to focus less on why Killie aren't drawing the crowds in (which is unfair, as any like for like comparison this season seems to show that crowds are up on previous years) and concentrate more on why people are tuning out of their rubbish? Think the one who annoyed me most was Gordon Smith having a rant about our crowds. An Ayrshire hun! The problem in a nutshell!
