Tonight’s results

It’s amazing to be sitting in this situation thinking we’ve got two games in hand and we could be breathing down Hearts neck. Yes there is still a look over our shoulder but Hearts are seven points ahead of us and despite their fantastic form very catchable at the moment.

There does seem that a gap is opening up between the "middle" of the league and the bottom ....

.to some extent both hearts and Motherwell were struggling couple months back but after putting together a run of results have turned it around. Not sure if likes of Ross County and Thistle are currently capable of going on same kind of consistent run ....

hopefully the postponing of very winnable games will not cause too many problems for us

County seem chuffed. Thistle are stronger with the big laddie back in the middle of the park and the return of the right back Dumbula. Hamilton on slide but dogged. Dundee are meh. St j and well catchable. Dons goalie knackered, Considine and OConnor are dodgy. Let's get in aboot them. Onwards and upwards. A brief bulletin based on licenced premises.

Not the worst results for us tonight. Only one of the teams below us gains any ground which is good when we aren’t playing. Motherwell now a point above us but we’ve a game in hand.

2 games in hand. Remember the Hamilton game. Win that and the saints game we will be a point behind Hearts and a strong distance from relegation.

It's very positive, but for me, it's still all about not getting caught up at the bottom end. Anything more is a bonus.

Me too.

Only 6pts above the playoff spot after our recent great run of results, albeit with two games in hand, means we are still vulnerable.

We are in a good position but we can't assume we'll just win our games in hand. You never know what injuries, referee decisions, loss of form, fixture scheduling may occur.

Good thing we have had a week to prepare for Aberdeen but they will be up for this as they were beaten by Sevco midweek. We had more time to prepare against Hibs and we were honking before the winter break. Our record against Aberdeen is very shoddy. If we pick up a point I'd be ecstatic but we are going to lose at some point! That said we are going to beat them at some point! Would love to beat mcinnes finally!
