Brora Rangers present a fresh and exciting challenge for Killie in this weekend's Scottish Cup tie but did you know we have faced them once before?

Back in the summer of 1972, Killie embarked on a three-match tour of the Highlands as we prepared for the start of the First Division season.

After beating Nairn County 6-0 in our opening game, we travelled to Dudgeon Park to take on Brora on Monday, July 31, 1972.

Killie ran out 4-0 winners on the day with Ian Fleming grabbing a double with further goals from Jim McCulloch and Jimmy Cook. Our final game was a 2-1 victory over Ross County.

Brora Rangers 0 Kilmarnock 4 (Ian Fleming 5, 80, Jim McCulloch 35, Jimmy Cook 56)

HT: 0-2

Kilmarnock line-up: Jim Stewart, Jimmy Whyte, Alex Cairns, Ronnie Sheed, Brian Rodman, Alan Lee, Jim McSherry, Gordon Smith, Ian Fleming, Jim McCulloch, Jimmy Cook.

Sub: George Maxwell for Ronnie Sheed
