kfc_superteam
So far Played 24 Won 8 Draw 8 Lost 8 Points 32. 14 games left. We still have 14 games remaining. 42 points available. We are only 9 off of where we finished last season. Surely we are all but safe barring a collapse. Could even beat the points totals of Mixu and Kenny seasons. Wonder where we could end up if Steve stays. 8th Season 16/17 Won 9 draw 14 lost 15 points 41 (manager Lee Clarke, Lee McCulloch,) 11th Season 15/16 Won 9 draw 9 lost 20 points 36 (manager Gary Locke/Lee Clarke) 10th Season 14/15 Won 11 Draw 8 Lost 19 Points 41(Manager Allan Johnston/Gary Locke) 9th Season 13/14 Won 11 Draw 6 Lost 21 Points 39(Allan Johnston) 9th Season 12/13 Won 11 Draw 12 Lost 15 Points 45(Kenny Shiels) 7th Season 11/12 Won 11 Draw 14 Lost 13 Points 47(Kenny Shiels) Cup winning season 5th Season 10/11 Won 13 Draw 10 Lost 15 Points 49 (Mixu /Kenny Shiels) Eremenko 1st season Edited February 14, 2018 by kfc_superteam

gmullin88
Barring injuries and suspensions I don't see why the top 6 shouldn't be a realistic goal.
fraz65
To get the same points total as the Mixu season, after the start we had, would be an incredible achievement. 17 points from 14 games should be achievable.

I was looking on Tuesday night and Hibs would really need to blow it for us to catch them. I’d settle for 5th.

Fletch
When we get to the last 3 fixtures if we are still in 6th/7th then I think either of the two around us will probably struggle to beat us to 6th unless we have a real meltdown. There are a lot of tough games in between but you'd expect we could at least keep it a tight run race. If we beat Motherwell then we look very good for top 6. St J - Hibs (H), Aberdeen (A), Motherwell (H) Motherwell - Celtic (H), Rangers, (H), St J (A) Kilmarnock - Rangers (A), Hamilton (H), Partick (A)
killieeurostar
It's all in our own hands, as the saying goes.
fmcc
SSC has led us to 1.5 its per league game since he came in (not counting Thistle game). If he continues that, we'll finish on 53 points. Since this is a scientifically mathematical fact, the things to consider are: Will Hearts get 16 pts or more from their remaining 12 games, and will Hibs get 9 points or more from their 12? Answers on a postcard, show your workings.
historyman
I think realistically the current top 5 will be the top 5 going into the split so there will be only one position up for grabs. I would think every other club in the league now think we will take it. If we do miss out on it on it then I would still see us being the best of the rest. A huge improvement from the usual relegation worries.
PrestersKtid
Our start has cost us any chance of european football this season i fear. Although it shouldn't stop us from still going for it. 9 games to go until the split, our 2 games in hand are massive. Partick got top 6 last season with 41 points after 33 games. That needs to be the minimum aim.
Souleycouley93
Need to win this Saturday and beat St Johnstone and Hamilton in games in hand and we are certain to finish sixth
casual observer
Motherwell will fancy their chances too if they beat us on sat. Important to avoid defeat I think and who knows the injury situation in weeks ahead so hopefully full steam ahead and we continue being hard to beat and carrying the same goal threat. Brophy will be a miss if out for next month or so. Not a phrase anyone would use 3-4 months ago!!

KTIDanny85
Motherwell are meant to have a few injuries. Might work in our favour. Would take a draw just to keep the momentum going but obv win would be great.
Bullitt
A draw at Fir Park when we have two games in hand over them would be excellent. 3 points would be sensational though!

That will probably take us into the top-six. It's a big ask to keep that form going though.
Philo
Past years (way in the past) we've often had a nosebleed when it came to games that helped determine 6th place, mostly at home if I recall ... nerves ... hopefully tomorrow we'll get something and not let 'Well open a (slight) gap. Fingers crossed we keep the good run going
Beaker71
Let’s be fair here as well. All of the teams in the top six atm, had a seven or eight game lead on us. We weren’t even in the same league when big Lee was in charge. To even get close to the top six is a bloody miracle, especially as we’ve the same set of players, Mulumbu and Tish excepted. utterly astounding from SC.
