Is there not a rule where all non OF clubs must have one of them at home?

A rule? It wouldn't have held up well when one of them went AWOL!

An expectation on the part of the diddy clubs but no rule (and quite right too).

We get two away games against the filth and they get two home games?

Surely not.

Without looking too deeply into it, easily sorted if we get a home fixture against Rangers and Hibs get them away. It is only a prediction though, so we will just need to wait and see.

On BBC red button it's being reported that the split fixtures will be sorted after this weekend's matches. It goes on to say they wish to avoid Celtic winning championship in a match with Sevco.

Motivation is understandable but is this a good precedent?

Presumably this fixture will be a title decider some day and aren't authorities pandering to savages here?

The whole game is arranged to suit them both, why not delay fixture releases for them too?

The precedent was set long ago. Whenever the title has been on the line after the split.

But that isn't in the rule book either.

Sooner or later, results will conspire to make the fixture a title decider but the SPFL will try to avoid it if at all possible.

It's been switched in the past to avoid the title being decided at that particular match ......

When the split started and those two teams were generally going down to the wire they decided that it should always be the first game of the split to avoid it being a title decider between the two of them.

Given that they want to avoid it being a title celebration, the league is basically over and they get to choose the dates for the benefit of TV schedule they should either:

Aim to have it as early as possible (so that there can be some storyline about Rangers having a chance to delay the title party), or just write it off and make it the last game of the season.

Either way I just want them to get it sorted soon so I can plan to get up for a game before the end of the season!

The police were informed today of the date to start making arrangements

It's farcical when you think about it. In basically any other league in the world, they'd be trying to make the fixture happen, rather than trying to avoid it. The Premier League are delighted the Manchester derby could decide the league. Meanwhile we're trying to keep Rangers and Celtic apart. Scotland's shame.

I'm scratching my head looking at that table. The problem seems to be because Hibs will have played 16 home games at the split to our 17.  Otherwise it would've been a straightforward decision to send Hibs to Ibrox a 3rd time instead of Killie.

100% CORRECT such a narrow minded country when they two teams are involved

Why can they not just say, that's the fixtures at the start of the season and it's your luck who you end up with after split. Rather than trying to balance it out and upset clubs......I'm just not a fan of the split, never have been.

In that case you could get a club (in this instance Rangers) with no home games after the split, a lot of pissed off season ticket holders and sponsors, not to mention serious cash flow problems to end the season.

By the looks of it the SPFL have screwed it up. Hearts have neither of the OF due at home and Rangers are due no home games at all? I can’t fathom the Hearts screw up but I’m assuming the Rangers screw up means that they must have been expecting to play StJ and Partick who made up the top 6 last season. That in its self was just crazy as they would have been the 2 teams that were most likely to drop out.

The seedings have to be decided by league placings, otherwise there would be a real outcry. Anyway St Johnstone had become a well established top 6 club. Thistle were a wildcard but then so were we this season.

I don't mind the split but if we're going to keep it then we just have to accept that this kind of carve up will happen most seasons.
