Is he actually signed or on trial? From the small bits of info I can find. He's 23, played for Forest at youth level retired for a year then the last involvement he had in football were turning out a few times for Lowestoft and Wroxham. Seems to be from a very low level.

for those who have watched these games ---how many of the current development squad have a future at Killie and could step up a level in next year or so?

there is a very experienced first team and bench at the moment compared to earlier in the season when quite a few of the younger players at times were part of the match day squad ----will be interesting to see how many of the development squad are kept on come the summer if places are limited ahead of them

Very slim pickings in the youth team at the moment sadly.

1-2 max will come through into a full time role.

There was more disappointment for Killie's Development Squad as they fell to a 2-0 home loss to St Mirren.

Having lost out to Aberdeen in the Scottish Youth Cup on Thursday, Andy Millen's men went into this match level on points with the Buddies.

Brad Spencer came back into the side to partner Ursene Mouanda in the middle of the park.

Killie enjoyed the better of a tight first half with Dan Scally attempting an ambitious overhead kick from a corner but his effort couldn't find the target.

Innes Cameron was the home side's most promising attacking option as Killie pushed for an opening goal but to no avail.

Saints appeared to grow in confidence as the match wore on with central defender Conor McBrearty going close with a looping header which bounced off the crossbar.

The defender was called into action at the other end to halt Oliver McDonald's wicked cross towards Cameron and it was to prove to be a crucial intervention.

St Mirren went ahead minutes later as a strong run down the right from Cameron MacPherson played in Conor O'Keefe and his cross found Matthew Reilly to volley home.

Reilly should have added a second goal but he blazed over when in a promising position in the box.

Killie pushed to find a way back into the match but as they took more risks they became exposed to the counter attack.

And St Mirren took advantage as substitute Cameron Bredner ran through on goal before dispatching his shot past Ross Miller.

Now Millen's side face away matches against Hamilton, Ross County and Hearts as they bid to end the season with a flourish.

Kilmarnock: Miller; Barr, Trialist, I.Wilson, Dempsie; Spencer (Taylor), Scally (McLevy), Mouanda, Graham, McDonald (Rennie), Cameron
