Top corner the bams.

thought we got away with pulling their man down in the box too.

we defended well and actually looked the better team for a wee spell there at the end so no complaints apart from giving the ball away far too easily overall.

Faubert looking good so far.

Horrible way to lose it.  Matched them for so long and looked strong in the closing stages.

Got to give the players and manager credit for the performance and tactics.  Beaten by a pure worldy.

If we can show that level of commitment and appetite in the remaining games, we'll give ourselves a chance.

M'on Killie!!

Central midfielders excellent today, well played Dicker & Faubert. I can't quite square the circle though of that performance against Ross Co 2 weeks back. Why do we seem to be able to compete against the best, but drop two or three levels against teams of similar level? That's what'll get us relegated, lack of consistency, not of quality but effort.

Listened to it driving up the road .... devastating to lose it that way especially when we sounded like we were getting on top a bit.

Faubert and Dicker sounded like they did well in the middle but needed to protect the ball a bit better.

It sounds like the performance was a big improvement over recent matches and will hopefully give us a base to build on for survival.

According to Roy Keane (albeit talking about Arsenal), it's because you can have the most talented, skilled footballers in the world, but you still need done gritty leaders out there on the pitch, willing to do the dirty stuff and pull the rest of them up when they are slacking off.

And, by only turning up for the big games, they are cheating the fans. Let's hope our bunch can build on this performance.

Honestly don't think I've been so gutted at losing a late goal as today. It even feels worse than when Saint Johnstone beat us 2-1 the season we just stayed up.

To a man they deserve credit for their performance and their commitment. I had a rant about how unfit Faubert was on the old forum but he was still going till the last second today. Thought Dicker was superb too, closing down and using the ball wisely, one small gripe would be he could and should have played Kiltie in at the start of the second half. There's something likeable about Balatoni, he's slow, he's rash, he gives away silly free kicks but he hasn't let us down this season. Also fair play to Clarke on applauding us at the end despite the pain, it's also nice that he spotted that McKenzie was poor and we needed to keep the ball better and brought on Splaine. Play like that till the end of the season and there's no reason why we can't pick up 13 points.
