Brian McIlroy

Left winger Brian McIlroy was a member of the famous 1964/65 title winning Kilmarnock squad and also played in the 1962/63 League Cup Final side.

Before joining Killie, McIlroy turned out for Wallace Castle Rovers, Rangers and, bizarrely, played once for Third Lanark in the Glasgow Charity Cup before joining Killie in 1960.

The winger went on to score 141 goals in 304 games for the Rugby Park side including the second goal in the fraught title decider at Tynecastle in 1965.

Unfortunately we don't have much other content relating to this prolific winger, if you'd like to contribute, please email Michael.
