  1. The Trust have done nothing so far to make me lose trust in them. The leaders of Kilmarnock Football Club for several years now have given me no reason at all to trust them. By that, I'm inclined to put faith in the guys who answer questions directly, who are transparent, who have supported the club unwaveringly for years and who have the club in their best interest and nothing personally to gain.

  2. If we have to face the torture of the play-off, then ideally it'll be because Hibs finish 3rd, have two tough games against Raith, same again and squeeze past Falkirk, then have two games against us sandwiched round the cup final. In those circumstances, I would be confident of prevailing.

  3. Oh bore off. how often have you watched Raith Rovers this season? any team that has Rory Mckeown and Mark Stewart in the starting 11 aren't going to be that great. Hibs could be cream crackered after all their cup games, Stubbs has spent all of this season either whoring himself to Celtic or obsessing over Sevco. We could easily bully them as their top heavy with strikers and attacking midfielders but not that good at the back and apart from Bartley don't have a holding midfielder. I'd fancy us against Hibs over 2 legs, I'd also be confident of beating either Raith or Falkirk over 2 legs.

  4. At least now you can see how your constant comments are percieved. Gie it a bye with your his record isn't good mince. He has turned the utter gash left by golden shower boy into something half resembling a team. One awful decision, two hits on the woodwork, a bad and a poor performance cost us yesterday. But the trigger was the clusterf**k of a passback made by balatoni. Open your eyes man and give the guy a break.

  5. We're in the position we're in because we've deserved to be there over the course of the season, not because of one moment. Yes I wish it didn't happen and yes it could have been avoided, but if a player is giving his all and just happens to have a complete mare, I can't really get too angry at him. I'm angry that we were 3-0 down to Dundee at Rugby Park on the first game of the season. I'm angry that Ross County have put 4 past us and Partick 5 in our home ground too. I'm angry that the board have got us into this mess and I'm angry that some of the players haven't given 100% throughout the entire season. Balatoni isn't one of them though. We go again.

  6. Not at a keyboard so excuse the brevity but suffice to say that the Trust know exactly what they are doing and if you know me at all you must realise that there is a lot more to this than the impression you are getting. There are answers to all your questions, you have to have some faith in us knowing what we are doing and rest assured that no one is throwing any money anywhere without all bases being covered. We have people who will be happy to meet with anyone who have questions about the process, in fact we'll be looking to do just that. The Trust had to send notice out to our members prior to the club announcing anything at the AGM...unlike the club we choose to tell our own through our own channels first before going public with it. This anouncement, if it happens, won't be a 'distraction' at the AGM...certainly not to Trust members.

  8. This was posted on the old forum, thought it was interesting enough to be brought into the modern world!! Heard something similar last week but this is more info than I got. We are certainly on s**t street, how many fans took up the cheap travel offer to Inverness? One bus extra so that's about 50 fans. They underestimate just how many people they have scunnered.

  9. Please dont ask for "sources" but this is 100% true. It just makes it even harder to understand what Bowie is doing. It is glaringly obvious that MJ being there is blocking millions of investment......he is also blocking a £500k + investment from John Gall as was stated last week. As the OP says its over to Bowie, if he genuinely wants to do whats best for the club he will ditch his chum and work with the investors. If he does nothing we will know all his promises have been total bull**** and he simply wanted the hotel....lets hear from you Billy.

  10. Personally I cant see administration coming soon, I do see relegation coming this year tho, and the board can only look at themselves for blame, the club has been on a downward spiral for the last 4 years with no ambition poor managerial appointments, poor signing policy, and frankly lack of any sort of leadership from the top of the club, the club has made a £725k loss but MJ still gets his money without any question, all we can do is hope that if we do go down we can actually sort the club from top to bottom get ride of all the deadwood and leaches, I still think we will draw a crowd as people like me would follow killie even if we played in a mcdonalds car park,

  11. There is a £500k parachute payment if we get relegated through the play offs and another £250k if we do not go straight back up .Relegation is no where near as big a financial blow as it was in the past .The parachute payment plus the play off money and some of the TV money going to teams in the championship make it not the financial disaster it was in the past .We should be able to compete with nearly every club in the championship ( if Hibs go up ) in terms of players wages .Cut our squad numbers and there should be no reason why we should struggle remember we have over spent by millions just trying to stay in the SPL

  15. I know the boy personally and other than injury,Sundays game was the first game he has missed in nearly 4 years at the club. If you checked you would see he's been available and on the bench but don't let the truth get in the way. He hasn't signed a pre contract with anyone either but carry on. Just sad that some of you guys just lie

  16. There should be no escape for the bastard who is taking our club to the brink and has ruined it for years. He laughs at every single one of us and his time is coming. The AGM he should be destroyed anyone supporting him must be shouted down. We have to go for the jugular and destroy him or are we going to just accept our fate? He has taken the p!ss out every single one of us and will continue to do so every day he is involved with our club. Look at Charlton fans on Saturday showing passion against their owners. Are we really going to let this utter scumbag of a man defeat us? We simply have to unite against this bastard once and for all or our club is dead.

  17. Regardless of how play-offs go we are still staring administration in the face, my biggest worry is that this leaps to liquidation very quickly. As a bare minimum we would need to beat price a developer was willing to pay for ground a Rugby Park - what is that worth for housing - £200K minimum / more? I don't see a white night out there to swoop in and save us - I have never been more worried we might not have a team to watch next season at all regardless of what division we are in.

  18. Other than temporary fire fighting I'm not sure what difference £100k will make. The fee may simply be a necessary evil to get through the door. No doubt the trust will elaborate in time. The presence is potentially the big thing. The constant niggle. The failure to toe the line drawn by MJ. A different voice offering a different opinion. I don't know how our board meetings work but I'm guessing an issue comes up and it usually involves MJ saying I'll deal with that no doubt for a fee. If the trust can be there with a plan B its not a bad thing. "Well actually we have a guy whose background is in this field would it not be better to utilise him".

  19. Remember how it took Sevco a last minute winner from a set piece to beat us over 180 minutes of football? Remember how unfit and shambolic our team had been up to that point. Remember how it took Celtic a last minute wonder goal to finally beat us at the third time of asking? We have been dire this season and I have no doubt we'd be relegated if Locke was still in charge. However we have cut out the horsings we were enduring up until yesterday , and remember as poor as we may have been up until the sending off we were still 1-0 up, we still managed to hit the bar and post whilst down to 10 men. There are still issues with that team regarding fitness and LC may make the odd strange decision about subs but we still have 12 points to play for, which could see us overtake Hamilton. I personally feel it's too late and we will be in the playoffs. Whilst it will be a horrible 180 minutes of football, I think that we will just have enough to survive, we've pushed the championship winners close twice, we've stifled the (poor) premiership champions elect for pretty much 3 games. Recently we've lost narrowly to Aberdeen and Hearts (2nd and 3rd), we have potential it is just the board stuck with Locke for too long and left LC with a almost impossible task of turning round, our fitness, confidence and performance and pull away from the playoff positions in such a short period of time. Assuming I am correct and we can survive, the task then for LC is to build a squad and team for next season that sees us hopefully push on up the league because f**k enduring another season like this!

  20. Cup semi at fir park. Iirc Falkirk were carrying a bit of form into that game, but Naisey destroyed them. Just checked and I'm havering. They were in s**t form and we'd beat them 2-0 a couple of days earlier.

  23. I agree. That 4-4-1 formation he went to in the second half was shocking. Why he did that when we led 1-0 set up in a 4-5-1, I'll never know...

  26. We have absolf**kingutely no chance in a playoff. I have watched Hibs and Raith and we are miles behind on skill belief and commitment. Our only slight hope is Hamilton collapse and that is mihty slim. Most likely it's Championship strugglers next term with Clark bulls**tting he is building for the future in front of crowds of1500 against St Midden.

  27. I'm in the "play off" camp. There is no way we will make up the points on Accies - they would basically need to lose every game and their recent form is better than ours so that is unlikely. We need to use the remaining games to find our play off team - there a still a couple of positions in the team that could be improved. None of the potential opponents is a stand out team - quite frankly any of the three could make it through. We need to hope whoever does is tired after a string of must win matches.

  28. Only a collapse of biblical proportions from Hamilton will see us finish 10th. We've not been good enough this season and we are where we are deservedly. We're not relegated yet however and would like to see all associated with the club come together and cheer on the lads till the last kick of the ball in the remaining games as well as the playoffs.

  30. It's actually nine to play for but there's almost as much chance of us catching Hamilton as there is of United catching us. The fixtures have favoured Accies with matches against the two worst teams in the division first, whereas Killie got a Sunday lunchtime trip to Inverness and another away match to the club they are chasing. A realist would say we have four preparation matches now for a huge play-off final. A pessimist would say United might still catch us. Even if we beat Accies, you would still have to be super optimistic to think we will overtake them.

  33. On the BBC Website today http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/36110945 I was reading this today and found myself actually roaring at the laptop in work!!!! Breakdown of article: Mann, who will step down at the club's annual meeting later this month, also stated the board's desire for new investors in the club. How's about starting with MJ. The real "Big Cheese". He hasn't put a penny in. Lead from the front and others may follow. And WHO in their right mind would invest in a club with a £725K loss AND with MJ ruling the roost? MJ has zero IN and Max OUT. FFS, he can't even waive his expenses in support of the club. Doing his work free gratis would be investment of sorts. If anything the club are VERY good at chasing invest away. "Losses on this scale are unsustainable in the longer term," he said. "And urgent action is being taken to stem them and to increase income via season ticket and match-day pricing." No s**t Sherlock!!!! We've been saying that for years. How's about you actually listen to your customers (like any good business does) and make positive changes? One of the main reasons for such a heavy loss - up from £453,272 for the previous year - was their 10th-place finish in the Premiership last season having budgeted for seventh. WTF? Why would we be basing budgets on finishing 7th when we have no basis to think we can achieve that. There has been nothing to suggest we can. Wake up. Mann described this as "a very disappointing outcome" that had the effect of reduced income, poor attendances and lower than expected season ticket sales. So is it OUR fault now? Keeping asking the question WHY? enough times and you will get to the root cause - MJ. Wake up. "In a recent BBC Scotland survey, we were shown to be the least expensive Premiership club to support in a number of categories," said Mann. So f***ing what? You're not Aldi or Lidl. Bargains and value for money are only met when the product is any good. At last year's AGM, following the restructuring of the finances that left Killie debt free without bank overdraft facilities, Mann said they needed to be a financially self-sufficient club. Brilliant. Absolutely agree that we need to be self sufficient but how do you get there without the correct structures and contingencies in place? The hope was that this would come from a combination of well-controlled costs, success on the field, player sales and performances that would drive higher attendances and season ticket sales. Success on the field? Based on what data? Player sales? Who? "Our report card on this would read, must do better, and this is clearly the major focus for the board," Mann added. Report card? What is this? School? Naw its people lives and well-being we are talking about. How's about must do better and here is how we will realistically achieve that........ The club and the Killie Trust supporters group are currently working together on a scheme that will raise working capital through fan investment. As part of this initiative, which they hope to launch in the next few months, supporters will be given representation on the board. Total and utter bollocks. Raising capital is a great idea....How do we do that? Any ideas? No, that's the problem you have no ideas. As for having a rep on the board. That might as well be a cardboard cut out of me or anyone else on this forum. The board ARE cardboard cutouts and MJ is just a caricature of himself. This WHOLE article reeks of an MJ red-lined announcement. It's about time the media as a whole woke up and started making him squirm.
