  1. Starts for Scotland tonight......

  2. Hi chaps. It was a very good night and I'm glad I went. Although I had my doubts, there was absolutely no hunnery or boorish behaviour. Everyone was totally well behaved and I would barely have known there was a Sevco supporter in the room if it wasn't already known. Jim White opened the evening and talked about Kris's career with all his clubs, but concentrated on his recent efforts with Killie. He did say there were both Killie and Rangers fans present and I would say the Rangers cheers were not much louder than Killie. I got the impression there were plenty of neutrals there. Boydie then got up and mostly talked about Alan Robertson, SSC, his colleagues and the Killie staff. Can't recall him mentioning the word Rangers. We then had dinner which was excellent with just normal chit chat. After this we had a film with funny stories and tributes. EVERY one of them from Killie. Mckenzie, Dicker, Thomas. Broadfoot and a funny but sincere piece from SSC. Then the raffle and again totally drawn by Killie people. Bill White, Alan Robertson, Dicker, Broadfoot, Gerry McCabe etc. Andy Walker was introduced a a Celtic and Ayr legend to good natured booing. We then had a short question and answer with McCabe. Durrant and Kenny Millar. This was either about Kris personally or about Killie with McCabe and Durrant. Then there was an auction which raised 28k. Andy Cameron ran it and was very funny. It was probably mostly Killie again with golf days and dinners although the biggest bid was a meet and greet with Steven Gerrard. Again Andy made various Killie references. The final act was an impressionist who mostly did English football personalities. We then had time to mingle and got photos and a chat with Rory, Gary Dicker, Greg Taylor, Boydie , Durrant and Alex Dyer. Rory was raving about SSC, Gary talking about commuting from Brighton and then we had a great chat with Alex Dyer. I thought of every one of you, when talking about the upcoming Celtic game, he asked why less people came to these games than "ordinary" games as he put it. My big chance!! I was as fair as I could be and mentioned TV, the atmosphere and our record against the OF. I said I thought the club could do more but I said it was disappointing that a good few season ticket holders didn't come. He was understanding but expressed a hope that more would attend in future. So all in all a very enjoyable Killie night, with no Sevco banner waving nonsense whatsoever. In retrospect it makes my fears and a lot of the comments on the thread look a bit silly and bitter. I understand why, but it turned out to have no basis and a lot of Killie fans would have had a good night.

  3. Stop playing daft as usual. You tried to have wee unnecessary dig and now that it's backfired and made you look daft you are trying to backtrack and deflect. McLeans comments on Scotland have nothing to do with killie and as SH said that forum is full of s**te so please just keep it there. Also think you are being a bit unfair on SH, I dont think he seems like he thinks he's above anyone. Christ, he argues with McLean more than most on this forum yet still admits when he agrees with him and is pretty civil - unlike you who feels the need to add wee arsey comments all the time to things.

  4. Byrne strolled through the game and looked class on the ball with plenty of forward passes, best player on the park by a mile was Dom Thomas. Injury to Will Graham doesn’t seem that bad, he thought he had done in the same knee again but it seems just to have been a knock.

  5. Any respect I had for Billy Connolly went when he started wearing “highland dress” and doing the whole Brigadoon experience for the royals. His willingness to give them the native experience was nauseating. He’s exactly the kind of Scot holding the country back. Going around claiming people are swallowing bulls**t while wearing an Anglo-romanticised costume to please his betters. Ps anyone who bases their politics on braveheart, the football team they support, who their parents voted for or which religious social club they’re affiliated with is a c**t.

  6. f**k me can the real Willie Miller please stand up. This one isn’t a clueless biased sheep shagger!

  7. I heard Miller on the radio and his comments were ill-informed and ignorant. Its hard not to come to the conclusion that he has an agenda against Killie.

  8. This comment alone shows Willie Miller knows nothing about Stephen O'Donnell's game or the fact that Paterson plays defensive mid for Cardiff (when he gets a game). How does he get paid to be a pundit? Who is giving him this money?

  9. Willie Miller doubting the selection of O’Donnell - and Souttar - because of his inexperience. If it had been Shinnie he would be giving his usual “Captain Courageous” s**te.

  10. Dom Thomas was outstanding. The full backs he was up against did look very young but even so he was unplayable. Only criticism is he should have probably scored more than 1. If that performance doesn't get you on the bench at least then it must be a bit disheartening. Pretty strong team out there which shows the depth we have now. Good to see Frizzell and Kiltie getting time on the park. Thought Kiltie showed up well. Lots of good touches. McKenzie started at right back but moved into CM when Graham got hurt. Maybe they've just accommodated him there to get minutes or is a change of position on the cards? He does work his arse off defensively and the way SOD plays is like a winger anyway. Might be one to watch if SOD gets hurt/suspended whatever. Byrne looked decent. You can tell he's a player. Really confident on the ball and totally different to what we have. Really reminded me of Jack Wilshere. His stature, his gait and the way he plays. Hopefully he adds something to the first team.

  11. Can McLean not post anything without someone getting on his case FFS! A very positive summary of the evening.

  12. Always good to have positive Killie stuff in media esp if a loan player as might encourage other clubs to loan if their players are in the spotlight. Surely Greg Stewart must be in with a shout for September

  13. Are you reading this Willie Miller you old prick

  14. The first conclusion is that he is a thick clueless old muppet that knows nothing about anything or anybody beyond the dandy dons. The second conclusion, a few notches down, is that he has an agenda against Killie. I absolutely loathe the old w****r - hopefully one of Kenny McLean's "World Class" mis-hit shots will go screaming into the press box and shut the old f**ker up once and for all.

  15. hope he gets the winning goal to shut miller up

  16. At risk of being a pedant, SSC hasn't beaten St Midden

  17. Hibs bogey isn't as big as the Aberdeen one. We just didn't beat them in 4 games as opposed the 21 games under mcinnes. Hibs are a very decent side especially at home. They will be up for it having lost at livi. Certainly have a chance. Let's not forget that as great a result as we had against Aberdeen, the ref did us a massive favour by sending Devlin off after 4 mins.

  18. Great interview with SOD post match also.very level headed and made no assumptions about being in the next squad.I may be wrong but I think a lot of the humility comes from SSC?

  19. If Griffith's had played him in instead of being a greedy wee barstool he would have well done big man you were superb and as has been said we have seen a Killie player doing us all proud!

  20. Man of the Match to O'Donnell for I think

  21. Great first 25 minutes from him raiding down the flank with some fantastic crosses in. Went a bit quieter after that partly due to Albania making a slight tactical change. Fantastic track back and tackle around 39 minutes when it looked like the Albanians were going to break forward. SOD can be pleased with his first half of competitive international football.

  22. Our TV licence money goes towards Miller getting paid .What a Fecking waste of money. He is bitter and biased against SOD because he plays For KFC.

  23. Also heard Provan saying that Robertson was the only width in the team ... obviously not seen SOD playing either ...

  24. You obviously don’t know the chap. He enters the bus every match to a chorus of “anything you can do, Higgy does better”

  25. Not at all. I see you are bringing politics into absolutely everything you post about.

  27. 5th place on the BBC player rater. Is no way I'd have Naisy and SOD in 3rd and 5th place.

  28. Maybe three times in the first half but the fact that I can remember them shows how well he kept the ball. He was totally assured and used the ball very well. He could have had more shooting chances if team-mates hadn't been selfish and I would have backed him to get his head on the cross if Naismith hadn't been there for the first goal. He can play in a back four or as a wing-back so he should keep his place. Going to South America was a great break for him.

  29. Don't agree with dropping Chris Burke just yet he has been probably our best player so far!
    1 point
  30. He certainly doesn't look out of place in fact his deliveries from the right side are 100% better than our captain on the left but I suppose Willie miller will not be mentioning that!

  31. Robertson needs to put the laces through the ball instead of laying it back all the time ... would also like to see SOD hanging about the edge of the box when we've got a corner.

  36. Intercontinental travel connections? Most in the UK go through London as a hub. Then there's the Glasgow Underground - not extended in over 100 years. An average 60mph journey time on the 50 odd miles between Scotlands two biggest cities by train, on the improved electric service. Edinburgh's tram network? lol How about an Oyster card to pay your way on all like in the South East? haha There's not even a dual carriage way from Aberdeen to Inverness. Then there's the non existent links to the Borders from everywhere, We still have a Victorian, early 20c transport network out-with the limited 'motorway' network in Scotland, mostly 2 lane and almost entirely in the central belt. Would be unthinkable in other Northern European countries.

  38. Seems there was quite a bit of unnecessary bed-wetting and scaremongering on this thread prior to the event.

  39. I don't see anything that was sexist about it all. Serena is the only one that mentioned her sex but as usual people have piled onto it. It was a refereeing decision, good or bad, her behaviour was inexcusable and she made the referee make a decision on it. She can only blame herself.

  45. If they think they need to step up a level then that's a great reason in itself for SSC brining in the signings. Having players playing for their places is a great way to keep them on their toes, for too long our squads were so poor that the team practically picked itself and poor form didn't matter.
    1 point
  46. Of course they do. More games you attend the easier it is to get tickets. Simple
