  6. 1-1 a fair result. Both sides could have won it. We dug in and defended very well. Findlay and Broadfoot superb as was Stewart who gives us genuine class up front. Brilliant footballer. I'm thrilled with our start. 21 points from 11 games is great. I can't shake the feeling that we still haven't quite hit our stride yet though. Honestly believe there's even more to come from this team. If we can figure out how to stop losing the first goal we'll really do some damage I think. We must be absolutely horrible to play against and I love that. But we have quality too. We roll on to Sunday and we are very capable of winning. I really want us to score first because as a counter attacking side you'll see us at our best and someone will catch a 3/4-0 hammering off us. Heady days my friends. Enjoy every single second of it.

  7. Worth the £1000 just so he could score yesterday.. seeing all the sevco fans raging at this process also makes me chuckle since it seems to favour them everytime

  10. I love how we keep coming back from behind to draw/win against these mutants. Celtic at Parkhead (Jones) Rangers at Ibrox (Burke) Rangers at RP (Boyd x2) Celtic at RP (Burke/Findlay) Rangers at Ibrox (Stewart)

  13. The approach under Jim Jefferies and many others has always been “it’s a bonus” if we got anything. Kenny Shiels instilled belief we could win it. Clarke now has made the chat a reality.

  14. I think Lennon has done a great job for Scottish football over the past year. On the park his team have been great, off the park he's been a total pantomime villain. He shoots himself in the foot sometime when he gets angry and bitter about our pitch and such matters but the aeroplane, the Hearts goading, the Rivaldo after he was hit by the coin - great comedy in my book. I also think Levein's patter has come on leaps and bounds this season.

  18. Completely agree the biggest effort has to go into keeping the group together. I do wonder if we may however look to add some defensive cover. I’m not sure how much faith we have in Millen and Waters as fullbacks. If Broadfoot has ongoing injury issues we may need another CB.

  19. Or perhaps it started on the 20/20 bus to aberdeen as we were under the impression it was Greg Taylor's favourite song so started it with "You can be our left back, we can be your very best pal." This then continued into the ground as a laugh and somehow caught on. Without any words. In hindsight I believe it may actually be Adam frizzells favourite song.

  21. Ridiculous attitude and something that has been said throughout his time in Scotland, to explain bombs being sent to him, people fighting him in the street, now for daring to be hit by a coin. Only one side is in the wrong here. Scotland's shame right enough.

  22. Noticed the Shortlees Loyal banner behind the goal in the Copeland Road stand Would've been nice if Stewart had clipped the winner in right in front of it.

  24. Lennon is the guy all fans love to shout and scream at but is also the one you appreciate if he’s your manager and not the oppositions. A managerial Kirk Broadfoot if u like. I enjoy his antics unless we’re playing them, and I do admire his attacking style of play.

  30. My take on this is as a stand-alone incident, I honestly think he deserved the ban. I don't buy that he was trying to run etc etc. Where I do take issue is the number of things similar or worse not being pulled up. The Morelos/McGregor incidents we all know about, but the Accies player that Greg "did a Zidane" on was swinging punches too. So for all of these, as always, f**k the SFA. I would also assume this did not cost us the £1000 everyone is quoting - this was not an appeal, just a hearing. This should not carry a cost AFAIK.

  31. There was a time last season when we were soft in the middle and the rest of our life was so hard. So perhaps the song should be seen as a tribute (albeit unintended) to Al Power, who brought all that to an end.

  32. I think another centre back is must. Given Broadfoots age/back problem there would be no bad thing in getting someone in that could compete for the place too. If Broadfoot and Findlay were both out our defence would give me the fear.

  33. as shown from his record against both of the "glasgow 2" and the performances in these games --- do like the way both SC approaches these games and gets his team ready --for far too long under many previous Managers you felt the game was lost even before the game kicked off --- and in those games a sense of utter defeat eminated from the touchline as soon as we lost a goal

  34. I'm sure there are lots of Sevcovians in Stewarton. Maybe it isn't a territorial thing, maybe the Ayrshire loyal all just happen to buy the tickets when they visit RP, but it is galling to see so many banners from Ayrshire towns when they visit.

  35. I'm sorry Praha did you see the pelters that Steve Clarke was getting from the Sportscene pundits & the MSM a few weeks back. Accused of being disrespectful to the SFA, Referees & everybody else in between. IMO he is the most mild mannered, thoughtful, respectful manager in Scotland right now. When do you ever see him ranting from the sidelines like Lennon. Lennon isn't entertaining now it is just feckin boring watching the same antics week after week after week.

  36. if anything Lennon is good value for money to watch his antics, doesnt mean anyone should be pelting him with a pound coin. I think he plays up to a bit of the pantomine at times, certainly doesnt have much class about him tactially though he puts out a team that plays attacking and attractive football I find Martin Cannings brand of football far more offensive than Neil Lennons arm waving

  37. PARTICK THISTLE gaffer Gary Caldwell has slammed Neil Lennon’s conduct after the Hibs boss was struck by a coin during the Edinburgh derby. Caldwell said his former Celtic team-mate goaded Hearts fans after Clevid Dikamona disallowed goal. Moments after celebrating his side’s break, Lennon was on the deck after being hit by the missile thrown from the home support. Speaking on BBC Sportsound, the former Scotland defender said: “I think he brings a lot of it on himself. “Whoever throws something from a stand should be ejected immediately but Neil Lennon was goading the fans as that goal got disallowed. “As managers, coaches, players, we have to have a level of professionalism to not incite that and I think at times he does.”

  38. Had a hun prick standing in the row behind me shouting on Rangers, standing beside his 3 Killie supporting mates who thought this was great, they are also pricks for encouraging him. Was quiet at the end.

  42. Jones was a weird one tonight again even from half time he looked tired or as if he was carrying a knock? Not sure, either way caused us some problems with a lack of aggression down that side. They are the games we need him to take control and show some class but never seems to

  43. I reckon you could play that game over again 100 times and not have it finish 1-1. How neither team scored a second goal is beyond me. Rangers must have had at least 4 goalmouth scrambles each with about 3 shots blocked, missed, cleared off the line. We had at least 3 really good breaks we could have scored from - Jones' in the first half where if the ball is played inside instead of out past him, he's in on goal - Jones again in second half where he fails to pass it across goal - and Stewart five minutes from the end where he bears down on goal and had at least two opportunities to square it for what looked a tap-in. Maddening not to come away with the win, but equally couldn't have complained if we had shipped 3 or 4. Ended up with a players' lounge ticket and ended up sitting with a Killie supporting mate amongst the zombies. I've sat in wrong end before at games but I wouldn't rush to repeat it. Weird being surrounded by them, watching our mob singing in the corner, unable to cheer or shout for fouls, bookings etc. Very much got the sense that there's a feeling of "jury's still out" amongst them where Gerrard's concerned. The Morelos goal got a big cheer but other than that there was no atmosphere. Lots of moaning about Sunday. Growing unrest the longer the game went on, folk getting really frustrated, fans leaving in their droves with 10 minutes to go, booing and shouting at the end, then folk making comparisons to Caixhina. f**king weird bunch the lot of them, glad to be away from them. Couple of chances at the end where I think we were just going tonto if we had scored and suffering the consequences, hard not to get excited when you're breaking through on goal in the dying minutes of a match. Thought we stuck to our gameplan quite well. Conceded too many chances, but set up to frustrate them and did that increasingly well in the second half in particular. Caught them on the break well when we had the chances. Thought Stewart up front in that lone striker role was immense, the £1000 used appealing a suspension we know isn't getting overturned is some of the best money we've spent this season.
