Motherwell, who played hard ball with the date in the first place and refused to move the game to the Saturday, are pulling a fast one here and trying to cover themselves in glory for the price of a few hundred quid. Do you think for one minute that they would be paying for their fans to get in if we had just made the price the same? Like hell they would. If you look at their statement they are milking this for all its worth, and crowing that they can get more fans in for only a fiver...like that's down to them! Let's look at the facts here. Everyone saw half a game, in money terms that's equivalent of £11, a full game is £22...so if we paid £22 for the full game on Saturday we should in effect have paid £11 for Wednesday, but fans are not even being asked for half of that...and that is all fans, not just the ones who were there. The club were within their rights to make the match full price, they are being charged full price for putting on two games. Instead they are allowing all ST holders back in free (as they should) and only charging a fiver or three quid to get in. A fiver...it will cost you that for a pint in Edinburgh! I've always been quick to criticise the club when I've thought they were in the wrong, but equally given credit when its due...and I am failing to grasp how this can be seen as anything but a positive reaction by the Club. The weather could not be helped, the ticket thing would have worked had it not been for the stewards not keeping control and some fans taking advantage, the only sensible thing they could do was have a rethink and try and get the best deal for supporters...which in my opinion they have. In all fairness the Club are taking a hit on all fronts here, dropping prices, extra payments for an unscheduled match, losses made on the re-arranged training camp...and yet still they are getting slaughtered. As a season ticket holder I'm sticking a fiver into the TIK initiative which will see it go tax free to the club in the near future. We're a victim of circumstances and hopefully we will have learned a lesson in how to deal with similar situations in the future should there be another weather related incident ending in a match abandonment. The Club will really struggle to cope with scheduling a full fixture at such short notice, so I'd imagine that the service is going to be limited on the day compared to what we normally get. They need our support now, again, this situation is not one we've brought on ourselves.23 points

And if Steve ever leaves us we will threaten him and his family and post videos demanding his death by bullet -- not the Howard driver -- and produce cringeworthy banners and abuse him all around the place he once graced and we will also deleate him from our history ----------------- no we won't we shall wish the man the best and may he continue in his massively successful football career9 points

The key point being 'everyone that was there...' Which unfortunately includes folk that ripped the p*sh out of their own club, and the c**ts from the away end who decided to do it too. The only real way to combat this is, as mentioned somewhere else in here, hand out receipts upon entry. Until that happens, I'm afraid that this is the outcome. A 'nominal' fee to some. I kick in the nads to others. All because of dishonest 'supporters'9 points

Let's be honest, threatening legal action against the club over them charging a fiver for a ticket is a wee bit embarrassing. Club messed up, but big time? I don't think so, this is being blown way out of proportion. Some folk just get a bee in their bonnet about something and won't let it go. My biggest worry about Wednesday was the lack of form we were showing on the night.7 points

To be fair I don't think it matters what I say here, some people are justifiably annoyed and will continue to be so, I'm not stretching credibility at all though...I said it doesn't say free ticket and it doesn't say free ticket...do you want me to start making things up and say that it does? On the phone call, you can choose to accept what I say or not, that's your prerogative, I was told there was one call, one very angry call at that giving the office staff verbal abuse, and I have no reason to disbelieve that, what would be the purpose in lying about that? It makes no real difference whether there was one or half a dozen, it's a relatively small number and indicative of just how bothered most fans are. We have been in the other position before, we've never been given free tickets to get in anywhere, and I don't expect that will ever be the case. Motherwell have done the opposite to us before, agreed a discount deal for season ticket holders and then reneged on it when we turned up for a match, they're a fine bunch to be lording it over anyone...they also get away with charging our fans more than their own...they must be within the rules but it's not exactly being fair is it? Have the club arsed up by way of miscommunication? Yes, they certainly have, but given the turn around that has happened at the club of late and the upturn in all things Killie I'm of a mind to cut them some slack here and move on.6 points

Season ticket holders gain entry at a different price from PATG customers for every single game. That's the benefit of purchasing a season ticket6 points

Bloody hell, I'll need to inform the club of the impending class action lawsuit coming! Or maybe you're just talking absolute pish. Any court in the land!!! Nae bother Ally McBeal.6 points

The Club made one glaring error here, they neglected to mention that the 'vouchers' would get you a discounted price back in...I'm pretty sure that they are putting their hand up to that. The plan was, £10 without a voucher, £5 with a voucher...then they decided just to make it £5 all over to try and cut down on complexities and make it easier for as many to go as possible. At no stage was everybody getting back in free. Maybe its just me but I can't remember a single league game for any club that you got in for free (cue the Google search, enjoy). On that basis why would anyone expect that they'd not have to pay something to get into the match? The £5 they settled for is ridiculously low and there are many people who will benefit from this, yet we still stand to lose money on it overall. As for the "logistical challenges", having heard about them first hand the Club are putting it mildly, we even have players out of the country and a lot of the people we employ on match days already have other commitments that can't be broken. There will be no hospitality, there is a lack of bodies for the likes of the turnstiles (yes, get there early) and if fans do turn up in numbers the tea bars and their suppliers will be well under pressure to cope. I've suggested we send all the turnstile operators to the home end and leave one for those feckers from the other side after they've tried to shaft us left right and centre here. Cowan up to his usual, commenting without knowing the facts...thought that Burrows would a bit more understanding but he's stuck the knife in as well and looks to be relishing the opportunity to feign being magnanimous.5 points

As I've said previously if he leaves he goes with nothing but thanks as far as I'm concerned. However, as soon as the word comes in that a club that he's interested in are going to want to talk to him we should be asking him for some involvement in the selection of the next manager because from a footballing perspective there has been nobody involved in the club previously who I would trust as much to select someone with the credentials to continue to take us forward.5 points

f**k motherwell, they've been ripping us off with higher gate prices at fir park for years, and they've the cheek to complain about this5 points

I usually read a post without looking to see who the poster is before hand. If I seem to up-vote or down-vote particular posters, it's because we just seem to agree or disagree a lot. Nothing to do with bullying, but I can only speak for myself. As for BKW, you seem to have joined with a mission to be controversial from the get-go. Maybe you have been lurking for a while and think you had a measure for the mood on the board, but the down-voting suggests otherwise. Unfortunately, there is probably a section of members who will pile in and down-vote regardless of the views expressed and I don't know how the mods can deal with that. Ignoring it and having the courage of your convictions is probably sound advice.4 points

Breach of contract? Are we seriously going down that route? That's just embarrassing. The Facebook numbskulls are at it as well. It's a ticket right enough, hope you enjoy that game against AMT at an unknown date and time, let me know how we got on.4 points

It’s quite simple really, if you want to attend the match pay your money and enjoy a very cheap afternoon of footballing entertainment. If you don’t want to pay your money then don’t go! The prices are set so the choice is yours!4 points
-
I’ve called the club on this matter and they have confirmed they do not expect season ticket holders to keep their seats tomorrow but should leave them in place as there are still many more home fixtures to be played this season so they will be needed again - despite Celtic scum fans attempts to remove all the seats from the away end.4 points
-
Bit like Killie when he came here! I was more worried he would end up with another Scottish club, so if he does go to Fulham I’ll be sad but wish him every success in furture .4 points
-
The reason is obvious to anyone who was there. People were taking tickets left, right and centre, everyone including season ticket holders. The stewards are meant to hand out one per person and fans were also going from steward to steward and picking up more. There wouldn't be enough seats in the ground to let all those ticket holders in free!!! Fans trying to get a wee something for nothing has scuppered the club's ideas of letting those who were there back in for free. But aye, the club's to blame, of course it is.4 points

no doubt the same folk moaning about paying a fiver will be the same ones moaning that we're not spending a fortune on new players in the summer3 points
-
Me too - and they did so very politely and eloquently... Which makes it all the stranger they haven't done that publically. For context Baz, what frustrates me is that I spent a good bit of time in a queue after the match where all the chat around me was people really pleased with the club for offering us in free for the next game. To go from that, to the pr mess, and no doubt to some confused punters at the turnstiles tomorrow, just feels a real shame. If I were the club, I'd have apologised and said the voucher gets you in for the 3 quid price given the circumstances as a gesture of goodwill. It's not a matter of abusing the club - but we have to hold them to a certain standard. I'm sure there would be just as much anger on here if Well had done the same to us as this is amongst their fans. But you are quite right about moving on. Really looking forward to the game tomorrow and I think that fiver price will bring in a good crowd.3 points
-
Again, doesn't say free ticket, you normally pay for tickets when you pick them up....we're nit picking here now though...the club were at fault for miscommunication without a doubt...the levels of abuse they are getting about it is hard to fathom though. Saying that, its mostly keyboard warrior stuff and fans of other teams getting a dig in, social media doing its thing. The club had one phone call from a Killie fan and a few from Motherwell enquiring about tickets...that was it. Time to move on and concentrate on getting a big crowd there tomorrow, that's what is important now.3 points

Did they actually say the voucher would get you in for free? I never heard that and absolutely no one has been able to quote what was said verbatim, everyone has a vague recollection of it. What I heard them say was that you should collect a voucher on the way out and that would get you into the re-arranged fixture. Which it would, if you paid the fiver, which they definitely didn't mention and should have, that was the big mistake, not enough information. I'll be honest I never heard the word free mentioned once, if it was then apologies but word of mouth and vague recollections are not going to stand up in court with all these fans so eager to challenge our club legally, which is strange to say the least. Fecked over by Motherwell and then fecked over by the SPFL and yet we have some kind of obsession with self-flagellation! Not sure who mentioned it above but you were right that the Club never officially held their hands up to the mistake, I just asked about that and although they have been telling people that directly (me being one) it never went out as a statement or anything so I got that wrong, sorry.3 points

When you look around at some of the folk who get Managers jobs down south then SC with his record should be getting highly considered any time there is a vacancy at a certain level.. Was very surprised when he agreed to join us, then more surprised that serious offers did not come last summer ... Just got to enjoy this period under SC while it lasts and continue to show our appreciation .....as we could easily be where Thistle are now if a wrong Managerial choice had been made..(again)3 points

The way some folk are going on about these vouchers they should give said voucher legendary status as a Willie Wonka golden ticket!3 points

Honestly, I just don’t follow your logic here at all. Season ticket holders have bought a ‘season ticket’ - a ticket for the season. Of course this league game is included. And £5 for anyone else is a bargain too given that it can’t possibly be cheap to run the stadium, staff it, and put a game on. Interesting experiment - how many people will be attracted by affordable football Honestly, don’t know what anyone is moaning about here - especially Motherwell fans who charge is ludicrous prices for the ‘superior’ experience of being in their daft big stand which is usually stocked with four pies and a packet of crisps.3 points
-
Discrimination? WTF? Get a life pal. That is the point, plenty of other clubs would be charging at least half the original cost. Season ticket holders are actually gaining half a meaningless match at most here, a benefit surely of buying a season ticket? The club will have the full costs of putting another unscheduled match on and all that entails, plus having lost cash on the training abroad thing, having to book extra flights. I think its f**king wonderful that they are letting everyone in for a fiver, or three quid, even those that were not at the original match. Can't believe the abuse we are getting from some of our own fans here, never mind those Motherwell dossers.3 points

In my opinion yours are probably the most sensible and credible posts on this issue and before anybody has a go it is everybody's right to agree or not with the clubs stance in this so if you feel strongly they are wrong then excersise your right to protest by NOT attending if you have to pay. If on the other hand you agree with me its a storm in a teacup and there are more important issues to twist our knickers then turn up tomorrow and support our team to three points. The choice is yours!!2 points

Lets hope not. A bonafide Killie legend but has hardly set the heather alight as a manager. Did okay when he first took over at Livi but that was Martindale's team/tactics and when Holt has started going his own way it hasn't been great.2 points

My only issue in all of this is that they are definitively not holding their hands up. No apology, no "sorry for the confusion", no explainer. Tannoy announcement was pretty clear. In fact (speaking as a lawyer) I suspect they are deliberately not mentioning that because the announcement and the giving out of vouchers, I'm fairly sure, means that offer was binding... But you are right about Motherwell, and me and almost every fan who has commented is more than happy to pay the fiver and support the club. The costs are reasonable, the reasons are reasonable and the price point is fair. It's just a PR own goal which I'm slightly disappointed they haven't rectified better.2 points

My criticism is the amateur organisation and retrospective price announcement. The price itself is very good. They should just have announced £5 when the referee blew up.2 points

I don't think any fans are complaining about the price for the re-arranged game, but the walk-up supporters were mislead and a simple explanation for the about turn should have been made to our fans.2 points

Motherwell will splurge out a maximum of £300 for this, if we have 4200 ST Holders and we get a home support of 6500 we will have "lost" 2300 x £17 (£22 -£5), which shows that our board are being far more generous than theirs.2 points
-
Would cost you £24 for a Motherwell v Killie game so £27 for 1.5 games isn’t that bad2 points
-
They are not saying season ticket holders money is better than yours, they are saying, we recognise you've made a financial commitment to the club for the season, in return we'll allow you to enter the ground for any home league game. Its your choice / circumstances that dictate if you buy a season ticket or not, it makes sense for some and not for others. Folk who buy season tickets earlier get a bigger discount. I paid the full price for mine because i wasn't in a position to buy it until later, i don't have a problem with someone who bought theirs 2 months earlier than me paying less2 points

That's my only criticism. The club announced one thing to 5k people then changed their stance 24hrs later. £5 entry is great but they've looked a bit silly after advertising originally om Twitter etc that tickets were valid. Whilst it's not the club's fault that fans took tickets they weren't entitled to, it certainly wasn't the fault of the vast majority of fans (both home and away) Club were I'll prepared for an abandoned game which makes me wonder what they'd have done vs Hibs when the floodlights played up1 point

If he goes he goes with our best wishes. It can't be easy living away from your family, plus the Ibrox dross that he shouldn't have had to deal with.1 point
-
It's easy to solve for future abandoned games. Give everyone a ticket leaving the ground ( one per person only) you use this to get back into reschedule game, walk ups, season ticket holders it doesn't matter. Anyone without either pays or uses season if they did make original game. Avoids all this nonsense.1 point
