  1. Speedy recovery, big chap. Honest pro who's stepped up for us all season.

  2. I'd love to go to games but I live in Melbourne. I'm also not using a VPN.

  3. Greg Stewart starts on wing today. FFS mate, you were likely in the running for the Scotland squad, playing the football of your life. If you had kept that up you would have had much better offers than what is looking more likely now. Fool me once, and all that. His choice, his fault.

  4. So, so much! O’Donnell is my gran’s maiden name so I’m imagining Stephen and I are related and are going to become mates and bake empire biscuits together. We’ll bring some round and share them with you and Grant (if he’s allowed out of the basement).

  5. Other mods: I'm unhiding this for just now. I'd just like to take the opportunity to address some of the points in this post: If you see content on this site that you feel is inappropriate then report the post. There is a link for that in to the top right of each post. We are here to help Baz run the site but we're not sitting looking at every post 24hrs a day. Reporting a post will alert us, we have a look at it and we discuss what to do each time that happens. This is the 3rd or 4th a user that has claimed they've been approached by other users privately. I suspect bulls**t on all counts, but if you are a user who has done this, please contact either myself, CB, Maths or Baz if you have concerns. Accusations of bullying are something that I take very seriously. I appreciate we will have many vulnerable users of the forum, but we're not going to make anybody beyond criticism. Getting lots of red cards because your opinion is unpopular is not bullying. When we see it, we will deal with people who personally attack other users, but we've probably missed instances of this because it hardly ever gets reported. We will deal with it when we see it. We do give users a chance to change their ways but ultimately we have banned users permanently from the site.

  6. Don't think the game was nearly as bad as some are making it out... in fact I quite enjoyed it and felt we deserved three points. Painfully lacking creativity in this team... to think some folk say they wouldn't take Stewart back if we had the chance!? Laughable!!

  7. Real shame. I always felt nervous watching him but once you see him weekly you realise he’s ungainly but it doesn’t make him a weakness. Far from it. He’s been terrific this season imo.

  8. We’d probably have lost yesterday had we been playing 4-4-2.

  9. I think Ian Wilson, when played, has done better than Tshibola. He was the only outgoing loan that I thought would have been used more this season. That said, SC gets almost every call right so I am happy to accept that he sees something I don’t.

  10. Says it all and is surely the cause of of our recent struggles. For as good as 2018 was,... 2019 so far hasn't been great.. Rangers 2-1 aside We created a bit more today but you never thought we looked like scoring. Haven't scored in 4 games right enough. Hopefully this week, the first full week we have had between games can be used to work on this. Stewarts loss is being felt badly but also injuries to McAleny and Brophy has stopped us as well. If we can get a break, early goal at Saints I think that can help us turn it around.

  11. I think many of us have lost their sense of perspective here. Greg Stewart’s form while he was with us was representative of a class of player we could not normally aspire to, and was a major factor in our results in the first part of the season. Without him, we have to be a lot more pragmatic and the first objective is to secure a top six finish. That’s why SSC will think the draw with Motherwell was a decent result, and why he set us up to make sure we didn’t lose the game, thereby maintaining the points advantage we have over them.

  12. It doesn't help that Boyd made, and seems to continue to make, absolutely no effort to keep or get fit, meaning we simply don't have him as an option. Guys around his age in the squad like Burke and Broadfoot must wonder what the hell he gets paid for.

  13. Why are we even talking about Aberdeen v Rangers on a killie forum?

  14. Tsh gets plenty of abuse, as does McKenzie. They’re the two players that get the most unwarranted abuse.

  15. Always feels the same historically that when we lose our creative player who is a real point of difference we not only struggle to score but create clear chances - Stewart this time but previous Eremenko mark one, Durrant, Tommy B, Skora and loads of others I just can not think of early on a Sunday morning. That number 10 type player is always so hard to replace and keep hold of

  16. Is there a credible case for remaining in the Union? The economic argument appears to lie in tatters. Are you comfortable with the xenophobic and insular path the Union is taking? Give us something beyond two World Wars, dambusters, and the geographic quirk of sharing a rocky outcrop in the North Sea, as to why we should share their perpetual right wing future?

  17. Not a problem with that. Hope they sort out the issues for fans like yourself

  18. You have no idea how difficult it is to form a rational response to that. Where do you start? For a start I believe in Scotland as a nation, I want independence to work. I am not interested in another glorious failure like many of the flag wavers seem to want. The fact you want to rubbish anybody who doesn't buy into your vision without offering any rational argument or evidence simply confirms that this is not something I have any sympathy with. If you want an independent Scotland, make a credible case. Create a viable economic argument. Appeals to Bravehart are a path to painful death and humiliation IMO.

  19. At £120 for the year, it's not exactly cheap. I'd be willing to give them the benefit of the doubt but no explanation has been forthcoming regarding the technical issues.

  20. Why is this being downvoted? The guy is paying for a service he isn't receiving - what's wrong with asking for a refund? If you bought a DVD and it didn't work, I'm sure you'd take it back and ask for your money back. I do think we should give them time to sort it before giving up on it, but we're using the same established service that other clubs are using, so it must be our infrastructure that's not up to it - and that should have been tested before roll-out.

  21. I usually read a post without looking to see who the poster is before hand. If I seem to up-vote or down-vote particular posters, it's because we just seem to agree or disagree a lot. Nothing to do with bullying, but I can only speak for myself. As for BKW, you seem to have joined with a mission to be controversial from the get-go. Maybe you have been lurking for a while and think you had a measure for the mood on the board, but the down-voting suggests otherwise. Unfortunately, there is probably a section of members who will pile in and down-vote regardless of the views expressed and I don't know how the mods can deal with that. Ignoring it and having the courage of your convictions is probably sound advice.

  22. I sat at Rugby Park when Jeffries was manager and heard folk moaning about Colin Nish, a 15+ a season player for being "s**te" which scrambled my brain... why are folk surprised that a guy who can't tackle, shoot, pass or win a header isn't winning over majority of our fans? Wilson, our own player, would have been a far more effective use of our limited budget and would have allowed him to develop under a top manager, that personally is more my gripe that we have patched our own youths for a guy who's bang average at best. Having said that, Tish played reasonably well yesterday and I do think we would have lost if we had gone with a four man midfield like Wednesday.

  23. Players out on loan, recalled during the loan period, can't play again until the next transfer window. No?

  24. Felt the tactic of playing Power further forward yesterday did not work. He's a better player receiving the ball facing the opposition rather than with his back to goal. No matter if we don't want to admit it, we are lost without Stewart's creativity. We are creating very very few chances, reflected obviously in the fact that the goals have dried up. For what it's worth, I'd like to see 2 up front every game. I do believe that Power and Dicker's ability and workrate allow a 4 in midfield to include 2 wide men in Burke & JJ, or Rory. One other point - has the Rev got any future here? If not, why extend his loan spell (or was it always a season long?).

  25. Fair shout. That’s fine. I’ll bring a torch. When Lewis met him yesterday there was zero ‘Good luck with the game’ chat. Straight in with ‘Well done with the empire biscuits!’

  28. There’s been plenty of comment on here in the past about Mckenzie being a target for the boo boys so it’s hardly as if he’s beloved by our whole support. He got a standing ovation yesterday because he played well and was probably our main goal threat in spite of his obvious limitations. Tshibola gets stick because people (rightly or wrongly) think that his performances are consistently not good enough and that he is often the weak link in our midfield. It’s nothing more than that I’m sure, I’m not quite sure what is being suggested in the comment above.

  29. Why is that? Tish gets it tight because he has the touch and physique to be far more effective than he is. So the fans are frustrated with him - as has been said before his demeanour is very casual and he floats around too much. Rory is not blessed with his natural talent but puts in a shift. Fans appreciate that. If Tish had that work rate or commitment he wouldn't get it tight, simple as that. But you're always left with a lingering feeling he's a bit of a big time Charlie who thinks we are beneath him.

  30. McAleny has been a disappointment so far. He doesn’t find space as well as Stewart did and he doesn’t work as hard as Brophy. He is also not as physical as either of them. Yesterday he shot wide fairly early on after what turned out to be our best move of the match. If he had got his head up and squared the ball inside I think it was Burke who would have practically had an open goal. If had been the other way round Burke would have seen the pass. I was expecting him to bring more to the team and on his recent performances I think Brophy should start before him.

  31. I actually enjoyed the match today. Waters really impressed. Pretty even match, Bach had a couple of decent saves and Rory was unlucky. I have never seen a more committed player tho than Alan power. Every match. Superb. Chris Burke I thought was class again. Such an intelligent player

  32. I’ve asked this before in connection with his lack of height, but is there any value in looking at Taylor in his original position of midfield? If Waters is developing well at LB, could Taylor do s job one further forward?

  33. Actually, it kinda is. It’s not that everyone else is playing badly without him, we were playing much better with him. Wasn’t just his goals-I think we miss his creativity more. Since he left, we have won only one game, scored far fewer goals and have barely registered shots on target. One player doesn’t make a team. One player, however, can be the difference between a well organised, hard working team, and a well organised, hard working team which also carries a real goal threat too.

  34. Could have won it. Could have lost it. A draw probably fair. With a bit more physicality in forward areas I think we’d have won that not problem. We don’t have that type of player on the books so every ball has to be perfect. Thought Bachmann made a couple of decent saves. Early nerves after spilling the ball but he dealt with everything after that safety first with a slippy surface and ball. Back four were decent. SOD was a bit hit and miss. He had some good moments and bad. Broadfoot was solid and Findlay as well. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by Waters. I didn’t think he looked impressive against Forfar but he’s looked decent in the last seven days. I felt it was the right decision to go with a third man in the midfield. Thought we dithered a bit in possession and all three at times gave the ball away cheaply. Dicker did well at breaking their play up. Power put in a shift and made sure the striker wasn’t isolated. Tish was frustrating. I defend him as usually he keeps possession well and is always available but he wasn’t today. It might have been a different story with Mulumbu in there. Burke and McKenzie worked their socks off. Not much chance to create but they kept plugging away. IMO it was noticeable that Well fullbacks didn’t have as much freedom as on Wednesday. JJ looked like he was in the mood when he came on. Hopefully he’s had a rocket and can produce for the rest of the season. Thought McAleny gave his all. He was something different for them to deal with and had the quality of ball to him been better he’d have caused real problems. Should have scored first half. Brophy coming on made a good impact on a tiring back four. They don’t always hit the target but I like how he wants to get the shot away.

  35. Not a Tish fan, too laid back and casual for SPFL matches, but perhaps he is scared to try something because he knows he'll get abuse if it fails.

  40. It’s not in the slightest bit entertaining (for most, I’d wager ). i (mis?)remember sandman changed his opinion on independence for a day, after the brexit vote.

  41. Aw Sandman! I didn’t know you cared! That being said, I don’t debate on here, I see it as a pointless task. I really just come here to point out lies, untruths and misinformed comments when I see them, especially in matters concerning finance and education, where my experiences lie.

  42. 50% +1 is ludicrous for such a massive change ... I said that the last time, I'll say it the next time and I said it about Brexit and look at the clusterf**k that is !! I believe a change like that should require 60% support ...but that is just my opinion. And I support Indy.

  44. I thought Broadfoot had an excellent game. He and Findlay nullified the threat of Main. Power and Waters the other standouts.

  45. Think Alex Burke is 43 and working as a taxi driver?

  46. I was surprised that neither team scored. Even in poor conditions there were chances. I think the issue is that we look a bit more pedestrian (losing Stewart’s guile) and are going long more often, which teams often do when confidence dips. We are creating far less but we are not a million miles away.
