  1. I see the Scottish Football Museum at Hampden is to put on an exhibition in honour of our clubs 150th Anniversary. Starts early August and it has been curated in conjunction with the club. And they have 150 paper roses specially made for the display. Looking forward to this as its always a great visit to the Hampden Museum.

  2. Absolutely ridiculous statement to make. I know Allen personally and not only is he a good guy but he is exceptional at his unpaid and under appreciated SLO role. He would not want criticism swept under the carpet, he wants to know what fans think and uses it as a part of his process to make things better...the responses on this thread vindicate that decision and lets him know how much most fans applaud what he does. Take your conspiracy theories elsewhere. baz

  3. I know folk that have privileged seats and they certainly aren't flush with cash. Just ordinary fans who made sacrifices at the time (missed holidays/scrimped and saved) and put their money up for the club in it's hour of need. These guys 100% should have privileges on the back of that. That's just life.

  4. I am a privilege seat holder and I can assure you I had no more money than the average fan. I just missed going on a couple of holidays and worked the the time instead. Most of the guys I know were in the same boat. The club wanted help and we helped them.

  5. Wife’s the “crafty” one in the house. She made this for Father’s Day. Took her a wee bit of time to design but it’s come out well in a frame. Not mentioned Killie, Kilmarnock Football Club or used the logo. Also done a 150 one in a similar style . We’ve had similar thoughts in the club missing out at this time.

  6. A sensible decision by the club. These guys helped contribute to the stadium we sit in and they 100% deserve this opportunity. Only thing the club has done wrong so far was not giving the PST holders the first batch!

  7. We are having to give season ticket holder names, so I think giving tickets to guys who 1) have season tickets and 2) making sure some go to guys who have season tickets and travel away every 2nd week is a fair way of dishing out tickets than a random ballot meaning some of these guys who never miss a game ( I can think of one guy in particular in Travel club who's about 30 years of not missing game) get a first dibs before rest go on sale is fair enough. It's obviously not perfect as there are folk who travel to every game by car but I think the club wanted to make sure a decent chunk of the regular away support were covered. If the supporters clubs were getting all 800 then fair enough but in reality it'll be 25% of that I'd imagine.

  9. I was 22, I wasn't flush then, and this purchase was a massive undertaking at that age, the club though did allow it to be paid up over 10 months, unbelievable comment. Today as I sit here I finally feel I have been awarded a Privilege after all these years, roll on Wales.

  10. Sensible move. Anybody having a season ticket for 25 consecutive seasons definitely deserves to get a ticket.

  11. AA’s first training session was last Thurs. unrealistic to expect him to assess the squad and work out what he needs in a week. I’m not worried yet but there is a lot to do in a short space of time. I’d rather that AA took his time to assess things than signing lots of players that may prove to be poor signings as we ha e been there before!!

  13. Wilson deserves the chance to develop in the first team squad ahead of a signing like this surely...

  14. Nope my priv seat, shareholding, and season ticket were always enough for that until goal posts moved..........yesterday.

  15. Personally no, but reading both clubs supporters comments, a consistent pattern seems to emerge, he starts off every year showing well then gradually disappears as the season goes on. His signing would be a backward step imo......

  16. And for that, I assure you I’m eternally grateful. Shouldn’t need to justify yourself sir and I hope you have a great time in Wales!

  18. If it’s to not be out till the first week in August it’s an absolute shambles. They have already missed potential sales for Father’s Day + half of the summer holidays as it is. Our fans will want to be going to Rhyl in the new strip seeing us playing in it aswell. Not as if they couldn’t have foreseen us needing a new kit months ago. Hopefully it’s out sooner rather than later.

  20. The right decision from the club. Hats off to the PSHs for their personal contribution to the stadium and retaining season tickets through thick and thin. That's the kind of commitment to the club that should be recognized and rewarded.

  22. Have emailed in asking for a ticket for myself and my dad. Hopefully we hear back. My current understanding of Privilege Seat status is as follows. You had to buy the 2 year season ticket at the time to be granted PS status. I believe it also included a donation to the club as it cost more than 2 years of tickets. (My dad bought 3) You have to have kept your season ticket every year since. (We still have 2 active) You can move seats within the stadium without issue. (We just did our 2nd seat move this summer since then) On death PS status can be transferred to another season ticket holder but the rules about it staying active apply. (I hope to not need this for many years yet) With regards to the current match I can only assume that over time people in the club have forgotten about the PS benefits and are now trying to fix it. Hopefully they keep better records now as the new plastic season tickets no longer have an identifying mark on them to denote PS that I can see. From what I can remember during our last round of European competitions in the late 90's early 00's it used to be that when tickets were announced it went like this: Day 1: PS holders Day 2: ST holders Day 4/5: General release. I read this in the Killie standard a lot at the time. I think we even used that release pattern for some high profile non european games as well.

  23. I'm all for this to be the next release of seats. It would've been slightly better if the information regarding each stage was released at once. However I do understand them doing it in stages as they wont know how many are left at the end of each release to fans etc etc. I am a ST holder with my son and I'll be checking every hour of each day to make sure we have just a slither of a chance at a ticket for us both. Obviously a lot of fans are going to be upset and disappointed regardless on what way they get distributed but I do feel those with long service awards (if you like) should have first crack. I am also warming to the fact of the supporters buses giving them to the week in week out crews. I'm just jealous we travel by car that's all I wish everyone good luck and safe travelling.

  24. As if you lost any privilege you had if you lapsed your season ticket after buying a PS in 94. Only those who bought a PS and have kept a season ticket since that for every season are "privileged seat" holders now with the benefits still intact. That's my understanding anyway.

  28. That just shows you the financial gulf between us and England. Hull a few weeks ago apparently rated our first choice, never misses a game, 3 year running ypoty, A-international capped left back around £400k. Mark O'Hara who always looked a capable player without being a stand out at any level has been transfer listed by a mediocre League 1 side because he's not going to be getting a game and they're still looking for 6 figures. I'd be surprised if we've gone seeking out O'Hara, I'd reckon he maybe wants back to Kilmarnock after our change in fortunes over the last couple of seasons. If we can negotiate him out of his contract at no fee, he wants to be here and he doesn't want paid above his post then he's welcome back IMO but he'll probably struggle to get into our midfield immediately.

  29. I wouldn't worry. We've only been in training for about a week, I'd rather AA got an understanding of the player he has rather than panic buying guys who will imbalance the squad. I think we will have 2 or 3 players signed before QCN but if it was worst case scenario and for whatever reason we didn't, I'd be extremely disappointed if the players we have available couldn't get us through this tie. Other sides have obvious holes to fill. At the minute we could go Macdonald, SOD, Taylor, Findlay, Broadfoot, Burke, McKenzie, Dicker, Power, Wilson, Brophy. Whilst that's not up to the quality that we had at our peak last season it's only a couple of players off of that.

  32. Not seen him since he left so no idea if he’s worth spending our limited transfer funds on. I think this will be Iain Wilson’s year.

  33. We could throw wet bog roll at the Moffat brick wall and if it lands on your name u get a ticket, seems only slightly more random than the method used. Undecided now if I want the first leg to be really close so second leg has some excitement especially as we never do things the easy way

  35. The best and most practical solution regarding the allocation of tickets would have been the rat race that somebody suggested on here the other day. A big barrel of tickets waiting in Rhyll guarded by Peter Canero. Every vehicle to leave Kilmarnock on the Monday before the game at dawn. A team of chasers led by Craig Dargo to set off an hour later to try and hold vehicles back. Billy Bowie et al stationed along the route with various traps and what nots. Scott McClymont filming it all. Gavin Wallace giving it laldy as somebody’s SatNav betrays them and sends them the wrong way. Glorious. I jest obviously. Hope those lucky enough to get a ticket have a great time and come back with some great stories.

  36. Most people can accept not winning the lottery. However, they would find it difficult to accept not being allowed to buy a lottery ticket. This is the situation that many season ticket holders now find themselves in.

  37. If he's anywhere near the level of our last ex-Lincoln signing then get him signed immediately.

  38. Aye, won't be many of them that have season tickets through last 25 years in a row so IMO, any that have had should be nailed on for a ticket.

  39. Get this down you absolute f**king walloper. Attacking a poor man who had nothing whatsoever to do with the statement made tonight. FWIW, I had a huge run-in with security last season and Allen went above and beyond to correct that for me - he really couldnt have been nicer to deal with actually and more than made amends. He did a fantastic job. One of the most embarrassing and misguided posts I've ever seen on here. Numpty.

  40. The SLO, devotes huge amounts of time, for no financial reward, or reward otherwise. Is highly visible and engaging on matchdays, in fact highly visible just about any time I’ve popped by rugby park or the hotel. To start labelling people as “hand picked” and the associated implication is lazy and plain wrong. If you have no idea what he does but would like to know more perhaps reach out and ask for a chat. I’m positive he will make time to do so. Perhaps like everyone else on the forum he was preoccupied or had something going on in his personal life. One perceived poor engagement with one fan doesn’t mean he deserves to derided like this on a public platform. It’s nothing short of bullying and it’s the 2nd time I’ve called out such behaviour on this forum today. It’s disappointing to see. Perhaps when he “moves over son” you would like to put yourself forward? Would you be comfortable doing so and having such accusations and abuse directed at you?

  48. A membership has already been discussed in here as a way to avoid OF fans buying tickets for the away end. IMO it would be like killing 2 birds with 1 stone, all avenues have to be explored for future situations that may arise.
