  1. (Not the eight-hour drive, I'll come to that later). It all started with Greg Kiltie.... I'm one of those football fans who just loves the game and can happily watch any match anywhere if I can make a connection or find an interest in either of the clubs. So it has always bothered me that I just didn't have a Scottish club to follow and my TV interest had dwindled to watching the Old Firm matches and the occasional Cup final to see where the honours would go. Yawn... But then in 2016 I tuned in for the play-off match, as showdowns between a team fighting to be promoted and one fighting against relegation tend to be good games. And so, I discovered Kiltie and Killie... A young man who ran a 4-0 win in front of what looked like a fervent crowd. So next season I started taking more of an interest. Kiltie got injured and my assessment of the rest was that they were being led by a manager who was not really good enough to make them world-beaters and not really bad enough to get them into real trouble. As Lee Clark left and a new man came in, my hopes for Killie grew. He signed a bunch of players I really rated in the English game. SOD I knew from my local club Luton Town. I'd watched Alan Power be a powerhouse through an FA Cup run. And of course Kiltie would come back from injury.. I had a cheeky Leicester-style bet on Killie to come 2nd behind Celtic. The season started so badly that I Googled answers and stumbled across Killie Kickback. Everyone seemed hung-up on that defeat by Ayr before the dreadful league run even began. SOD was being slated. Power was being written off completely. Others pinned their hopes on Kiltie and Dicker being fit but no-one knew when that would be. It was not happy place. As Noel once said of Liam, all the posts seemed to be written by men with forks in a world of soup. And then Steve Clarke appeared over the hill. This was a footballing man I'd always hugely liked and respected. Someone I always thought should have been managing one of the big teams in the game, not just assisting. It is no coincidence that the day he arrived, I signed up to Killie Kickback so I could follow his journey as a fan. Since then I feel I've really lived through one of the greatest football revolutions. I wasn't there to see them live but the descriptions here made me feel part of magical moments such as Findlay's late winners, Millen's bra top celebrations and that crazy night at Ibrox. I've been educated and entertained on this forum, whether through Skydog's immediate and knowledgeable answers on every aspect of the club, Scooby Doo's ability to find the perfect gif for every occasion, Craigieboy's endless enthusiasm, the debates and fights kicked off by McLean, the insight of Zorro and many others who suggest things I instantly agree with. I joined in the excitement on the day that SpeckyHotDog returned without knowing why. I do know now and it seems part of the story of last season. I know and understand all about wee pin badges, players being spotted in Tesco, hot Dutch wives, knicker-wetting and asking "for a friend". So as you've all painted so many pictures, let me describe one. I've become adept at cajoling pubs in various places to put on Killie's Tv matches so that I've seen the Wolf tearing apart Sevco defenders, I've watched Rory shut down Celtic and Mulumbu open them up. And last May I got myself home from work just in tine to a rock pub on a Sunday afternoon where the barman said grudgingly "ok, but with the sound down as it's a free juke box". As the game progressed and I told more and more customers about the signficance of the game and of the story of Steve Clarke (and of Alan Power for the two tattooed girls who seemed very taken by him), the jukebox went off and the Rugby Park roar went up on a telly in a Luton pub 420 miles away from Rugby Park. Right until the end of SSC's speech a new crowd of long-haired disciples stood and cheered Killie into Europe. That was the moment I knew I had to be there for the next league match myself. So am eight-hour drive yesterday and I made it to the club shop with five mins to spare. And then just as I am seeking out the obligatory wee pin badge, Gary Dicker walks in with his kids to kit them out for tomorrow. Only in Kilmarnock could the second person a visitor encounters be the hero club captain. So today i shall be strolling through Kilmarnock to pick out the best spot for the Steve Clarke statue and then I'll be part of the Rugby Park roar myself. If you happen to spot someone in a local pub or in the Beattie stand (wearing a t-shirt with an Italian slogan to welcome AA) and speaking with a Luton accent (think Stacey Dooley and you've got it about right) then say hello. It's you guys who won me over. And one more thing. Bye bye Rangers.

  2. We look like the same team that did so well last season. Few decent bodies in and we’ll do just fine this season.

  3. John Barnes on the radio saying he wonders if Alex Dyer gave the team talk at halftime given the 2nd half performance. Totally disrespectful to Alessio. When we’re rubbish it’s all Alessio’s fault, typical foreign manager that doesn’t understand Scottish football. But when we play quite well it’s nothing to do with him, it’s all because of wonderful Alex Dyer. As for Cammy Bell, he just sounds like a small minded moron now. Sad as I always liked him as a keeper.

  4. First of all I would like to say well done to Killie today great performance second half we were very unlucky today had some great chances and I look forward to the rest of the season but I am f**king raging how rangers fans are still aloud in the Killie end I was in the Moffat stand and there were plenty of them in there and when they scored that last minute goal they went mental police done f**k all stewards done f**k all I have my 10 year old daughter with me they had there phones out laughing into our faces my daughter was so upset it’s got to stop we need a points system or a loyalty card so when you buy a ticket it goes on the card a bit like a pay as you go season ticket and the club can see that you are going to more than just the old firms game it’s shocking when you don’t feel safe when your with your own fans I am f**king mad because now she doesn’t want to go back

  6. Time to let these clowns know we will no longer stand by and tolerate this at every game involving both sets of SCUM. To whom it may concern, I have written to the club before about this issue, as recent as last season, but find myself having to complain again. I am also copying in Police Scotland. For many years now, when either of the Old Firm's fans come to Rugby Park, there are crowd problems in their end without fail. Last season alone, we had several pitch invasions (and not just one or two fans at a time, but dozens), coins and other missiles thrown at players, smoke bombs thrown, chairs broken, sectarian singing, opposition fans sitting in the home end. All of this is prohibited in Scottish football grounds and yet almost no action is taken - very few arrests and almost no one ejected from the ground. Around other grounds, there were several incidents of bottles being thrown by The Rangers' fans, sectarian singing aimed at Steve Clarke at Ibrox, death threats sent to referees involved in Old Firm games. After being hit by a coin last season, Kris Boyd said: " It's going to take someone losing an eye or somebody being seriously injured before they do something" Scottish football fans of other teams shook their heads and sighed upon hearing that; because we all knew he was right. Today was the proof of how this is escalating - The Rangers' fans caving in the roof of the disabled supporters section, apparently causing one man to be taken to hospital with injuries. This is exactly the sort of thing Boyd meant - it is not a stretch to say that someone could have been killed in this incident. We often hear that it is a "small minority" who ruin it for the rest of the Old Firm's fans, but witnessing these incidents proves otherwise - we are talking about hundreds upon hundreds of supporters involved, from a total of around 4,000 in the Chadwick stand. That is a significant proportion. The security company, Police Scotland and Kilmarnock Football Club are all now complicit in this. One incident at one game could be laid squarely at the feet of those responsible - but when it becomes a pattern over a prolonged period, those responsible for security arrangements have to take a large part of the blame. We continue to take their money at the expense of everything else, selling these teams tickets rather than simply banning them. We continue to operate a ticket sales system that permits basically anyone to buy a ticket for the Kilmarnock home end - no membership scheme or requirement for previous purchases that would weed out Old Firm fans sitting in the wrong end. Nothing done when fans are caught sitting in the wrong end. Security and police continue to allow their fans into the ground with prohibited items, and continue to do absolutely nothing when they invade the field of play in large numbers. Today, a couple of fans in the Moffat Stand were ejected for celebrating The Rangers' first goal. Later in the game when Goldson scored, 20+ celebrated in the Chadwick corner of the Frank Beattie Stand. Police and security watched as they climbed on to the roof of the medical room, and did nothing. If a single fan from any other team ran on to the pitch towards the players, they would be stopped by security and arrested by police. There is a complete lack of action taken when the Old Firm's fans break the rules in large numbers. The message this sends them is that our security arrangements and those of the police are not equipped for crowd control at these matches. I watched earlier today as police officers let fans within arm's reach of them jump out of the stand, run on to the pitch, and then run back past them to re-enter the stand. Kris Boyd is exactly right in what he says. These incidents are going to escalate until something really serious happens - we as a football club, the police and the security company will all be hugely culpable when this happens. I know many of the emails the club received about this subject last season were regarding the negative impact these incidents have on the club as a business, but I haven't mentioned any of that in this email. For me, the far more important point now is that two sets of fans just wilfully break the law time after time, and the organisations supposedly responsible for controlling this just stand by and wash their hands every time. It is an absolute disgrace.

  9. What are the BBC playing at in this article? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49228731 "Kilmarnock are investigating how a roof collapsed"?! It was shown on live TV how the roof collapsed when the brain dead started jumping on it. There is no blame at all attributed to rangers in that article and half of it talks about Kilmarnocks problem's getting them through the ticket gates. Shameful reporting.

  10. A group of them were low down at the Chadwick end of the FB. They were clearly not Killie fans from their actions and behaviour. A young G4S lass was absolutely brilliant at warning them, monitoring them and ultimately getting the police to eject them for their continued inappropriate behaviour. Well done to her.

  12. Ban them next game. Their own fans aren't even safe from the scum in their support. Police are beyond useless. Pretty handy when taking booze off killie buses though. .

  13. I promise not to mention this again but, with the debate over OF games raging again, here’s details of the Brentford scheme. I’m sure it could be tweaked into something which works for us. Age 0-2 Free Age 3-17 £5 International £10 18 + £25

  15. Worst in Scotland. Bigoted brain dead and utter scumbags. They are made worse by the police and stewards allowing them to do as they wish. SFA aswell total cowards. After the past few visits I’d ban old firm totally from having fans at RP. All it takes today is one of our fans to run on and smash one of the goading invaders and it’s a full scale riot. They could have killed someone in that disabled section (one of their own) yet some are out accusing Kilmarnock of having an unfit for purpose roof on the place. A roof that’s there to protect fans from the elements not 10 fat hun bastards. I hope Kilmarnock go to town on them as it’s totally unacceptable.

  16. First five rows should be covered in netting or sponsorship, ok we lose about another 500 ticket money but it restricts them and their movements

  17. For me today was never about the result, it was about the performance. I feel relieved after that, the players and management all seem to be pulling in the same direction. We were unlucky, it happens.

  18. Not that much different in performance overall than SC against the OF, result apart. 1st half, sat in, and restricted them to one chance from a corner, defended fairly comfortably, get to HT, having sussed them out, and then open up, which we did really well 2nd half, ending up the better side. Had Brophy slotted his chance away reckon we would have gone on to win from there. 2nd half in particular was very much a performance from last season. Could well be that AD had a good influence on the set up today, but thats fine as after all he is the assistant manager. Feel for AA tonight to not have taken anything from that, least we deserved was a draw. Only way they looked like scoring (one Larry save apart) was from corners. Get that sorted out and we are still pretty strong defensively. Lots of positives overall, sterling performances from Larry, Taylor, Findlay, Power, Rory, and Kiltie in particular. SOD in the 2nd half was the SOD of the first half of last season as well. Night and day in every way from the CQ game, so hopefully thats the (major) 'blip', out of the way, add another creative midfielder, pacey winger and forward, and we are set. Feel 100% better than 2 weeks ago, though obviously utterly sickening to walk away with 0pts, certainly didn't deserve that.

  19. “Never make a substitution at a corner” - We didn’t make a substitution before we lost the first goal from a corner. A failure to defend corners was the problem. Not the timing of a substitution.

  20. Ethnic cleansing will stop these f**king mutants coming anywhere near us. May be considered extreme but seeing their behaviour which hasn't been condemned by their rancid bigot ingested s**tehole of a club, I believe it should be seriously considered.

  22. The same fight is there. I walked out the ground disappointed, but not at all angry with the result. It was completely unjustified but I can take it in perspective after the performance from the team, and the response from the fans. Today was a big day in our season, and I really worried about the impact of a potential 0-5 drubbing on morale across the club and the support. We should have taken something from that game, but a bit like our 0-3 loss to Hibs, our fans just know the crux of a good team is there. Even if we don't strengthen, we'll be absolutely fine. Onwards and upwards. Well done to the team and the crowd. Looking forward to the next game.

  25. When you boil the 90 minutes down Rangers have not improved greatly. Signed a great number of squad players ( some of them would enhance our team ) but they still play the same way. We will get better with 3 or 4 quality signings I doubt they will improve much more. AA on the way to winning the respect of the fanbase.

  31. They’ve got to be banned. No Sevco fans at any games at RP for the rest of the season and review it next summer. Today wasn’t football or emotion it was endangering their own fans. Hit them with the bill for all the disabled upgrades TiK are going to pay for because it’s not safe to put anyone near them. Utter scum. That’s there own in there.

  39. If away end restricted there will just be more in home end. Only way is for the other ten clubs to ban them and put a lot of resources into registering their own fans. Have they got the bottle and deep enough pockets to do this? Will be awkward too for the likes of me who can only get up occasionally but folk are gonna get killed if this goes on.

  40. We have been crying out for a points system for years now! If nothing else, the ticket situation surrounding the Nomads game should have pointed that out. It's great to see the club progressing the media side of things but I cant help but feel we should be putting these resources into a commercial/marketing department. The issues at old firm games literally puts people off going to Rugby Park, particularly families. There's no amount of social media output from the club which will ever fix that imo.

  41. f**king scumbags the lot of them. Shame for the disabled folk. Their players are wee ned c**ts and so are their fans. They were right when they said Jones was one of their own - a wee f**king s**tebag ned beast. Ban the lot of them.

  43. Completely different side the second half. One of the “biggest clubs in the world” who’ve literally spent millions beat us with two set pieces. Keeper looked good and MEM looked a lot better second half also. Given how some of us (me included) have reacted this last few weeks we seemed en route to a hiding. also big Gav Wallace at half time saying some news likely next week, optimism all round...

  48. You guys may have felt as bad as the fans did after the very poor result in the Europa Cup. However, if you looked at the way that 200 + of our supporters bounced back, in Belgrade on Thursday, there is no reason that you can't do the same against Rangers tomorrow. You are largely the same players that won all three of our home games against them in the last 18 months. What is to stop you doing so again? We can guarantee that if you give your all then so will the fans. Come on Killie. You can do it boys.
