  1. Record breaking Hippo 200 is on sale tomorrow, thanks to everyone for your incredible support #ynttk

  2. Disagree. BBC Sport - through its flagship radio programme - have sneered at him from day 1 and down-talked/ignored any success he has had. I feel he deserves equally positive treatment on the back of this award. The change in fortunes might last, or might not, for AA. The fact that some supporters were/are unconvinced by him is a separate issue imo. Not shoving this news into an article about an injured player isn’t a big ask.

  6. Priority for AA is getting results against Hamilton, who are normally difficult to beat and Jambo's who might be boosted by having a new manager in place. I doubt if any decent manager really cares about MoM awards, it's the results that earned the award that matters.

  8. I had a pipe burst in my house today, but one of the upsides was coming across a copy of the above in behind a blanked off alcove. There were a couple of Killie related bits and bobs that I thought you might like to see..... First, a match report from a 0-0 draw with Hibs (we played a 5-3-2, so not that modern a formation!) We also had some transfer news: Gordon Parks papa appeared to write for the Sunday Mail at the time: And finally, DrewWylie's introduction to gambling:

  11. This reads like a game of idiot's bingo. The insults, the dismissive attitude, the utter strawman-like nature of the argument....I'm not sure where to start. Because there are lots of them, they should be free to act in whatever manner they want to because it'll take time to punish them? That's your stance on this? Incidents that only away fans of two particular teams perpetuate, that cause a significantly negative atmosphere at our home ground, impacting our matchday experience, and it's al OK because there are more pressing matters for our police force. Where's your limit here? What's your cut off point before police intervention is acceptable? I also cannot believe you have equated the two pitch invading incidents. ESPECIALLY when one involved the assault of their own disabled fans! I'm in total agreement with other posters. Police Scotland need to understand that OF fans need to get special treatment. And not the kind they currently enjoy, the exact opposite. They need heavy-handed babysitting and a zero-tolerance attitude towards any and all anti-social behaviour. Act like thugs, get treated like thugs. You want better treatment? Get your own house in order.

  12. The Brexit party will have no influence whatsoever on the results of the coming election. What scares me more is that some people in Scotland would rather have the Tories in power than an Independent socialist Scotland. Lets be honest the Labour in Scotland is finished. Why would anybody think that Westminster is doing a great job for Scotland. Gordon Brown is a first class idiot who promised home rule or as near as a fedral Scotland which turned out to be a down right lie as was the vow. For God's sake what is it going to take for those people to wake up. Why do the Unionists run Scotland down. I don't believe for one minute all the scaremongering by the Labour party in Scotland who are not even registered as a Scottish party or their joint at the hips Tory party. It's about time we got off our knees and started believing in our country. I hope Labour and their Tory pals get found out for what they are at this coming election. As an ex Labour voter I'm glad I came to my senses. The Snp have their faults which I openly admit but I don't believe in all the guff that we would be worse off. Nobody and I mean nobody including the Snp have said an Independent Scotland would be a walk in the park but by christ it has got to be better than what we have at the moment. A Nation of equals? What a load of Bolloc*s. If we are a Nation of equals then Westminster has no right to deny us an Independence referendum, this time people will not be fooled by Vow of 2014.

  13. I agree, think he's been a good addition but with Dicker and Power back in good form I'd like someone playing a bit further forward to give Brophy support. For me it'd be Mckenzie, he's on good form and could drop back to help midfield when defending, then burke and Miller wide.

  14. In that Herald documentary on the BBC, it mentioned 20 years ago they had 800 staff, now it's 100. More keyboards will get involved in a big thread on here, than in making an entire issue of a broadsheet newspaper!!

  21. Reading isn't your strong point. From the BBC site :- Alessio was speaking after being confirmed as the Scottish Premiership manager of the month for October, after guiding his side to three wins in four games. The Italian, who was heavily criticised in his first few weeks of the job after the Europa League exit at the hands of Connah's Quay Nomads and consecutive league losses, has lifted his side to fifth in the division. When asked if the award proves his critics wrong, the Kilmarnock manager said: "Yes. Although it's important to work in the right way and believe in my methods. It's why I do this. "I think they chose me because of this and it was a difficult start for many reasons after elimination in the Europa League and the first two matches in the league that we lost. "That is now the past. In the present we have to restart now and forget the bad start. Now our focus is on the next game. After two defeats it is difficult because I think Hamilton are a good team."

  24. You should have reported them! If we want it to stop then we need to act! You have just admitted on a public forum that you know of two possible suspects who have committed a crime and you could be charged for with holding information............maybe! Also, enquiries are ongoing. The polis haven’t finished yet!

  25. You know what your right, there are lots of people speed in residential zones and go on their phone in there cars and I still see this happening! Let’s just scrap any laws that aren’t murder and the likes. The point isn’t that there are paltry fines it’s more that there is an acknowledgement that this behaviour is not tolerated and as others have said proactive work would be even better but, to continue to turn a blind eye would only lead to a race to the bottom. I mean at ibrox your not even allowed to stand without having stewards having a go and threatening to kick you out all the while Rangers and Celtic can set off flares and invade the park at will in a pretty meaningless game. That last Rangers pitch invasion was nothing more than a twos up to the authorities and to our club who had the audacity to cut their ticket allocation for being arseholes on repeated occasions.

  26. I'd prefer it if they actually did as their title says and "policed" instead of chapping doors months later. They'll let the same things happen the next time there is a late old firm goal and they'll do f**k all to stop it. Again. They never learnt when the tims took the piss last season and won't learn from the huns took the piss. As said previously they are reactive rather than proactive. Being proactive is too much like hard work. They are happy enough being proactive when it comes to stopping buses taking booze off them though as it's a piss easy job and a box ticked.

  27. Anyone who carries on like some of the Rangers fans at Rugby park should not be allowed anywhere near a football ground, whether they jumped on the shelter or not. Try convincing your 8 year old daughter (who I only just managed to get to come back after Scott Brown ran at the Chadwick like a jakey to a jag last season) to go back to games when she’s spent the last 5 minutes of that one squeezing your hand till your knuckles turned white. Appreciate that the old firm will always add an additional level of toxicity to any game, I prepare the kids for that and accept that as my choice to bring them. However, we should be able to watch a game without having opposing fans trash the stadium and run on the pitch, freely approaching the home support and gesturing. I’m happy if as many as possible of them are identified and charged in the hope we, regardless of circumstances and whoever they play, can go and support the mighty Killie without having to deal with that s**t.

  29. My boyhood hero. I used to love Jim racing alongside Davy Wilson of Rangers, the two of them elbowing each other vigorously and both laughing like haddies. Jim had to stop Davy before he got into the penalty box because the little sh*t would certainly dive and be awarded the penalty then as now ritually awarded on the appearance of a Rangers player in the box. Jim often got the better of Wilson, great player as he was, and as a Killie player he stood for all the qualities I admire in a defender; tenacity, the ability to read the game and intercept rather than tackle, sportsmanlike behaviour, leadership and decency. Condolences to his family and friends. I'm never conscious of my own age until I see my near contemporaries drop off the perch and then mortality looms large. R.I.P.

  38. Think you might be going ott on that. The gutter press had a go at him and one journalist in particular, but then again so did a fair number of our own fans. Manager of the month is a nice reward but he will be judged over what happens over the full season. Plenty of unemployed managers have won Manager of the month awards.
