All this writing Sow off already is a disgrace. Alan Power, Kirk Broadfoot and probably the biggest of them all, Stephen O'Donnell. SOD was god awful when he first game in. Now an international and a smashing player. At least give the guy a chance to get up to speed9 points

I think we should be worried, this referee has the ability to turn any game on its head by making unbelievable decisions6 points

The club weren't to know he would get injured, and he looked like he could be effective when he played against Ross County, he linked the play up well. A 6 month deal would have given us a good idea if he was going to fit in and we could then extend. Unfortunately with his injury we still aren't at that stage. He was excellent at Hearts and has faltered a bit, however, some players (and managers) are just a good fit for certain clubs. He was poor on Saturday but it was his first game back. We have a few games between now and the January break in which the gaffer can decide whether to extend his loan or not.6 points

It could be good timing for a pre contract for Kennedy. St Johnstone looking in trouble.4 points

Checking Greg docherty stats whilst on loan at Shrewsbury last season on loan. Ever present playing 49 games in all competitions, mainly in the advanced midfielder (10) role seems. Scored 10 and had 11 assists. Well out the picture at rangers and likely to be moved on it seems. 23 and room for improvement. I’m sure there will be other parties interested - Shrewsbury for sure- but good profile for us. Fow would have seen him up close versus Sunderland last year.3 points

I'd start Millar over McKenzie given his lively performance on Sat plus Brophy in for Sow. Larry to start but he's one more howler from the bench3 points

And he was with all the club’s media team so the questions were strictly controlled. I don't think too much should be read into it. He said himself that players are restricted in what they can say to the media and perhaps it’s the Italian way that managers don’t like that sort of discussion There’s no evidence on the pitch to suspect anything’s amiss.2 points

Shame it never worked out for Jack Byrne here. The exact type of midfielder we need - creative and can score goals2 points

In terms of Sow and Jackson we needed strikers and they were available. They are short term deals. IMO neither has done enough to earn an extended stay at this stage. If they do stay on for me it would have to be on terms really favourable to Killie and not stop us getting another striker we’d class as more than backup. I’d probably cut short St Clair's deal as well given it hasn’t worked out as we hoped. Not sure how possible it will be but I’d love to see us make Del Fabro a permanent signing. Get options to not only challenge but play alongside Brophy and someone who can create for others,2 points

Now that Fowler has arrived, my hopes for Jan and the summer are a mix of few things: - Players he knows directly from Queens and Sunderland - Promising Scottish youngsters from lower leagues hungry for the step up - A nice wee ENglish league 1 gem that will fit our style, - Any other Italian loanees, some will work, others not so much...that's the level we're at, and it's not a bad place to be at all Oh, and most importantly - keep our core squad together with new contracts1 point

O'Jesus the old club call phoneline got me into trouble with my work. I got pulled in by the Boss and told " our phone bill is through the roof and i knows its you , You have to stop phoning these sex phone lines" I replied " wit you on about am no phoning sex lines " ....."Wits this number then " He asked . Sure enough loads calls over weeks to the same number " Ach am trying to find out if Bobby Fleeting has bought Killie yet " ......" LOL ! Thank god i thought we had a pervert working for us" .1 point

Oh aye because a guy on a 1 year deal who isny in the team when all the centre backs are fit is likely to be managing the team. As rumours go this one is a out as accurate as ikechi Anya joining us.1 point

I enjoyed the podcast, Dicker came across well but he always does on the radio. He probably just didn't mention AA because he wasn't asked about him. He was being asked about memorable moments, nearly getting relegated, qualifying for Europe etc. The aim of the podcast didn't seem to be about this season, more about the story of the players career to getting to this point. Pointless speculating about players not listening to him etc because as we've been witness to pre-season this is how rumours start and before you know if people will be repeating Paul Slane's rumour that Alex Bruce is actually manging the team behind the scenes as having truth to it.1 point
-
The lack of gushing over AA from players isn't necessarily a bad thing. This year we're moving along steady, nothing miraculous, we're only 3 points off where we were this time last season, only difference from last season is we'd had results against both old filth by now. Clarke was a one off and the regular beating of the twisted sisters led to more media fanfare. The questions were getting posed to the players about clarke time and again.1 point

perhaps its more down to the character and past experience of each Manager and how each sees the role of a Manager ----there has not been the same amount of discussion or public praise from Players --- but it is hard to see from the actual actions on the pitch that the players see any real issues of working with AA or how he gets his message over DDF comments after Hibs do point to that “The manager was really angry at half-time as we hadn’t played well. It’s strange because Kilmarnock are a humble team and always fight. “We were a bit scared of Hibs’ aggression but the manager charged us up at half- time and it worked. Angelo is an Italian manager so he is very passionate. “He tries to focus us and instil confidence in us." Good to see the podcast up and running and adding to the improved communication from the Club1 point

FTFY It's pretty amusing that you accuse the SNP of this "party line" pish. Every single labour politician that's appeared for interview in the last few weeks has tied themselves in knots trying to tow the party line. "We will not pick a side in any future peoples vote - we must let the people decide. It's not the job of politicians blah blah blah" "Another scottish independence referendum? No chance - how f**king dare those jocks have democracy"1 point

Sow is only here on a short term loan deal ---- he was obviously signed so late as a fair few other targets had not worked out for different reasons and we had to bring in another striker despite having a pre season with Dundee Utd he looked lacking in fitness when arrived and was told "he needed games" -- did ok in one game then picked up an injury ---has then taken a long time to get back into the squad and does not as yet look match fit --again -----if we were interested in signing him permanently can see reasoning as to "give him time" but as only on loan we need players to be ready to play in more games than he has been so far -- Only If AA feels he has done enough and we are not paying too much of his high D Utd wage then might be kept on but surely we should be looking for better options come January1 point

Great ball win by Jackson in lead up to equaliser. Was a fair nuisance when he came on. I think Sow or Jackson could be good options with a run of games but Brophy is a clear first choice so I doubt they’ll get it.1 point

Sow didn't offer much at all yesterday... I think he only won one header and was too static. Jackson pulled their CBs around a bit more and made space for others to exploit ... he seems more suited to our style at the moment.1 point

You seriously don't think health is better in Scotland than rUK? Perhaps without ridiculous budget cuts it would be even better. Education into is also still better that rUK under the same budgetary constraints. At least your honest ti admit your totally selfish, unlike mclean who thinks this is OK. This is why Labour are Dead in Scotland and its which is causing the division, the absolute need of the house jocks to reestablish London control and have Scotland quashed. Imo, brexit will see Holyrood abolished and a return to absolute london rule and if we get another right wing government after that I wouldn't be surprised to see Scotland abolished and changed to both Britain.1 point

January allows us to go for players who can negotiate their release during the window or a £0 transfer. Right now we can only sign players who were released before the close of the last window.1 point

You could just spend the rest of the season watching periods of games that we've played badly in and then come on here for a moan, regardless of the result.1 point

It always appeared to be a last minute, last option type short term signing. His fleeting appearances have shown why. Get rid in a month and recruit someone else with something to prove. If that sounds harsh it’s not meant to, he’s just not good enough for our first team.1 point

Brilliant. That wee clip will go down in history. Real fan of Gavin’s work whether it’s on the park, in commentary or the videos he gets involved in. Good presenter and I actually think he could do a good job with his own radio show.1 point

Picked him last time he was fit. To be honest though, I don’t care about Steve Clarke’s opinion on this. McKenna is utter, utter s**te. If he picks McKenna ahead of a fit Findlay, it’s bad management, simple as that.1 point

Really? Is this where your heads at? Going for the c**t shout? Disappointing to see that from a Killie fan. He made a mistake today yes but also made a few decent saves at one particular cracker. Going in on our own players before 90 minutes are done with the c**t shouts is uncalled for in all honesty. No need whatsoever.1 point

If somebody took in a flag someone would moan they couldn’t fully see park or that it could take someone’s eye out. If someone took in a drum someone would moan that it would be too noisy. You can’t keep everyone happy. I can understand where those are coming from regarding pyro as it works a treat in Europe but it’s done as part of a proper tifo but not just used aimlessly. Unfortunately the atmosphere at Scottish games is very poor and i believe standing sections are a way forward. Designated sections for those wishing to try things to get atmosphere going. If you want to sit in quiet, which you are 100% entitled to do, then just stay away from these sections. If we just have people who sit and moan constantly the game will die quicker than it already is.1 point

This! Absolutely this!! Just catching up with this thread....... For the record, the rail seats were delivered a couple of weeks ago and stored behind the Moffat Stand in individual boxes. We missed the preferred installation date due to bad weather and the installers went onto other jobs. We got word on Monday that they might be able to come and do the work towards the weekend and, being kinda excited at the possibility of having it installed for the St. Johnstone game, we asked the Club to put out a rallying call for volunteers to help out as the timescale would be tight, what with the Council having to rubber stamp the installation. A whole lot of hot air, bluster, 'People's Poet' type-comments? Who cares! Job (almost) done!! And, to be honest, the job was enjoyable and the spirit doing it, great. And thankfully.....no injuries! Let's bin the faux outrage and celebrate the fact we've achieved something positive. And believe me, this is only the start! What matters is that we now have a standing section and I'm convinced, despite the comments of some, that it'll be the start of something really popular. Trust and TiK members/subscribers got first shout at the 158 spaces in the East Stand and we worked with the Club to help transfer a lot of people from other areas of the ground to these sections. At that time I reckon 50% of the area was taken up but I haven't spoken to Katrina to check where we are now. I'll do so today. Those who have committed to the areas have specially coloured season ticket cards. We'll put the Trust financed season ticket plaques will be placed on the seats prior to Wednesday's game so it's obvious what spare space is available. We'll work with the Club to maximise publicity for the launch and I really hope it'll encourage more people to join the Trust and have a real say in what happens at our Club. We are building up our shareholding as a result of the TiK projects with currently nearly 200k shares. We have almost another £100k in the bank to transfer over into shares too. We are part owners with a responsibility to help the Club in anyway we can. Being part owners puts us in the firing line too when things aren't running smoothly. This current position is EXACTLY where the Trust dreamed of being when it was founded 16 years ago. There are a lot of projects in the pipeline for the future. Wouldn't it be great if in fact we WERE all Killie (Trust members) because after all, together we're stronger! Here ends the party political rant on behalf of the Kilmarnock Supporters Trust.1 point
