  1. Chris Burke is twice the player, 5 times the professional and 10 times the human being Jordan Jones will ever be.

  3. Burke might well have beaten Jones’s assists total in one game!

  4. To try and be the voice of reason, There is absolutely no doubt chris Burke is a much better all round player. But the argument for Jones is he gives you something different, can turn defense into attack very quickly and win you a throw in outside the opposition box when we were defending a set piece 15 seconds before hand. Jordan Jones done well for killie until January last year, but Chris Burke since he has got himself fit, has always been brilliant for us and is more important than Jones ever was fir the team.

  7. Hey, it's possible to disagree with a fellow supporter's opinion without describing them in those terms. I don't know Piffer personally but I would say, from what I know of him from his posts on here, that he is neither of those things.

  9. I also don't see why fans are getting their knickers in a twist about lack of info, what difference does it make to us? If we keep signings under wraps to stop others swooping in then good on us. Same folk would have moaned if we said we were signing Mulumbu last year then Aberdeen came in last min. Club can't win.

  11. I always feel a bit sorry for Donati with the translator rumour that became gospel. He probably did a lot of translating for Alessio but he only ever came back to Scotland in 2016 because of coaching. He wasn't able to coach in Italy because there's a rule that prevents a player who hasn't finished his playing career qualifying as a coach. He took the step back to Hamilton and then St Mirren because he could be a player/coach here and he could go to Largs to get his formal qualifications. He's obviously a dedicated coach who has been treating that as priority for the past 4 years but because we had a manager who wasn't entirely fluent he's been tarred with the reputation of being Alessio's translator and nothing more. I don't imagine any of us know much about his abilities as a coach but I'm sure the assumptions from a lot of our fans are wide of the mark.

  13. I live outside of Ayrshire and am put off for all ticket away games with the 7 quid postage. I just get a friend to pick up which isn’t a problem but I don’t think other fans who live outwith killie should be penalised with a 7 quid postage because they don’t have family or friends in killie. IMO a member of club staff should be able to, on all ticket away days, be at the away end at a certain time (20 mins) and hand out those tickets to those with ID / ref number. The club staff get comps Anyway so it wouldn’t be a huge job as not many games are all ticket. The ticket process needs an overhaul and hopefully that is something the trust can raise with the club. An online membership scheme etc could be an idea. Might be worth advertising to university students that could tie it in with uni work and pay them back in free tickets and their meals for example. Just an idea.

  14. Burke has got a better goal celebration than Jones. Case closed. I couldn't give a flying f**k about Jones as he doesn't play for us anymore. Can we get back on topic now? Any rumours about potential signings? Anyone staying in the hotel wearing flip flops? Anyone checked in with their (or anyone else's) Hot Dutch Wife?

  18. There is literally no point in just comparing goals scored. Jones has played about 40 more games than Burke. What matters is the goals to game ratio clearly, let alone assists and other stats that matter.

  19. Well done to Hamilton Chief Exec. For sticking up for his employee and giving him support that all employees who have issues should receive. Expect SFA to hammer him and then accept the gambling companies money as sponsorship. Double standards it’s the SFA way.

  20. Excuse me!That is quite an insult to throw at Piffer!I have no doubt he was asking a genuine question based on his observations of the pre-match warm up. Once @boydiesback has been described by Pasca as a "legend" as Piffer has he can consider lacing Piffers goalie gloves!

  21. A good friend of mine worked at St. Mirren when donati was there (he was part of Jack Ross's transfer team but is still at Sunderland as they wanted to keep him). He told me when donati came he was outstanding at St mirren and that it was a great move for us. He was apparently vey good at the technical coaching side and got the best out of players like Morgan, also a good man manager keeping morale high around the place. I for one don't disagree with keeping donati on, he obviously wasn't part of the problem and Dyer and Fow clearly think he's with keeping on. Dyer taking an interest in the warm up is what the players are used to, why change it is he doesn't need to.

  22. To be fair, he won us a lot of free kicks in dangerous positions too. Penalties too, some of them legitimate!

  24. Agreed. We are woefully slow and cumbersome going forward. Last year the one thing Jones was good at was at least getting us up the park. His end product was questionable at best we got a corner. I really thought Liam Millar would fulfil that role but he was very disappointing. Without that speed out wide and a lack of a creative no 10 type we look like we are trying to play a style that was fashionable years ago. Contrast that with the way a lot of teams play today, Man City and Leeds are good examples of a high press but break quickly from their own box with speed. Our goal at Perth this season proved we could do it( about the only bright spot from Millar) but too often we have the opportunity to break like that but 10 passes later we are barely at the halfway line. It's turgid and frustrating to watch at times.

  25. Yeah, I can't understand why they won't let you buy online Every other club let you buy online for OF games as long as you have a purchase history. I'm massively in favour of online sales but we are, not for the first time, making an arse of something that should be simple.

  28. It was a long awkward pause. Beaker71 and Guff92 were looking into each other's eyes for what seemed like an eternity. Suddenly the anger subsided. Their heads edged closer, still in silence. Neither could believe what was happening. The passion of mutual disdain had turned to a passion of a different kind. Their lips touched. Guff92 pulled back but Beaker71 grabbed his head and they kissed.

  29. I tried to buy my daughter a rain jacket for her football yesterday and was told “we don’t dae them”. Alright sound. We really need to get away from this amateur way of running tickets and merchandise. Felt this way for years about the shop and nothing ever changes, if anything it’s actually worse.

  32. Dear me. Poor show. Piffer is many things to many people, but he is neither of those things. You really need to wind your neck in with nonsense like that. I'm sure that the big chap will be crying into his goalies gloves, maybe never to recover.

  34. That is completely wrong and not what Alex Neil said. Neil called for a legal consultative referendum. Not an unofficial unconstitutional referendum like in Catalonia. The BRexit referendum was consultive - not legally binding like the Scottish 2014 referendum. The Tories say the result of the consultive Brexit referendum must be respected as if it were legally binding. Therein lies the blatant hypocrisy Alex Neil was seeking to highlight. In addition; theres not a single example in history of a country that gained indepdanace from WM through a legally binding referendum. Each and every succesful indy vote in the colonies was consultive. The only time in history WM agreed to a legally binding indy vote was in 2014.

  35. This annoyed me aswell. Great that you get a link sent to your phone to buy your own seat but there really should be a tick box when you hit the link allowing you to select what seats you want. I've got 2 adults 2 kids on the account but only the 2 adults were going to QP game. No way to remove the 2 kids tickets so i ended up buying for another area to save the tenner. Some folk will have 5/6 tickets on one account but maybe only 4 can make it. Shouldn't be a massive issue to fix so I'll contact ticketco and hopefully be fixed by next time, hopefully next round.

  36. I'm sure he was highly regarded at Hamilton, who have a very decent youth system. Donati's no mug, and I'm sure AD would have been given a say in who his staff were.

  38. Watching saturday it still stands out like a sore thumb we need a " 10 ". We are far too slow creating wise. QP came with two banks of players and shuffled across the pitch. We tried to switch the play , as we should, but not at the pace we did. If the balls with one fullback the two centre backs and holding midfielder dont all have to touch the ball to switch to the other side. It's still ponderous and be no use against far better opponents. So get onto Mulumbu asap or back into the loan market for a ball playing creative player.

  44. Should get a gig for ‘Visit Kilmarnock’. A good read. The philosophy is terrific and we as a club and support should take heed! “I have three rules: Always concentrate on the positives. Treat every club like it is a special club (because it will be it someone). Write in away that encourages others to visit different games.“

  46. I hope the signing of Kabamba sees Brophy pushed out to the wing as it’s his best position in my opinion. He’s good at running at defenders, he can drill low crosses into the box and we’ve all seen if given a yard he can and will shoot from distance. What he’s poor at is receiving the ball back to goal, hold up play and winning headers. Play him out wide or as second striker (keep him on penalties) - and I reckon he can score 10 second half of the season.
